Chapter 475: Walking the plank (2)

'Now do I have to bring you to the plank or would you prefer to walk?' Vijaya asked

Mikael look at Rhysa and then said.

'I prefer to walk.'

'So be it' the pirates opened the door and Mikael calmly walked out from the cell and quickly climbed the stairs to go to the planks, almost like he is eager to meet his death.

Vijaya shakes his head. 

Mikael has always been weird. Behind him Rhysa is walking, her body is condensing internal energy.

If she were to escape she need to reserve her internal energy and then release it at the opportune moment.

She doesn't know Mikael scheme but if whatever scheme of Mikael fails, then she would be forced to use her trump card.

Mikael on the other hand is excited and sometimes stole a glance at Rhyssa face. 

Rhyssa beautiful face which would have enchanted the pirates is not seen because of the disguise magic that Mikael has put on her face, by her own request.

Even though she is being held by the pirates, she held no fear because of her trump card. If possible she didn't want to use it but she will see what will happen. 

If not for the poison she would have devastated the Azure Dragon Pirate. She underestimated the Azure Dragon Pirates too much.

That was rookie mistake. Anyway, she will act accordingly. And then she was out of the basement and she looked at the clear blue sky and she smiles. 

Today is not a good day to die, she inwardly thought 

ON THE PLANKS.

Rhyssa is on the plank but she is still not walking. She was calm and there is no hint of nervousness or fear or any emotion or expression usually associated with people nearing their death which unnerves the pirates.

The pirates also do not dare to urges her to move forward while Mikael is guarded by 3 people, their sabers all pointed at him. 

Rhysa is even extravagant. 

10 people in each sides of the plank with sabers and blades and sword, spears, whip, name every weapon and it is there, all ready to be sheathed if the woman in the planks suddenly jumped backwards. 

Ten people guarding but all the pirates in the deck look at the woman in wariness.

Fear is reflected in their eyes. They all still remember the gigantic battle in the Port. Which is why they do not dare lower their guard even for a moment.

The pirates are waiting for their captain verdict and they all hope the faster they settle this matter, the faster they could feel ease again in the ship.

Having the powerful woman and the smart Mikael in the ship invites fear to the old crew.

Then from the upper deck a woman appears with a bandage in her arms and chest and she look viciously at Rhyssa and also a hint of respect and admiration.

But then she look at Mikael and there is only hatred there. 

Her glare right now could make any man tremble in fear and wet themselves but Mikael, shameless as he is smiled his brightest smile and even whistling in joy. 

There is no fear in his eyes or any nervousness. 

'Mikael, finally I got you' she said, looking down on him from the upper deck. 

She smugly smiled and she is impatient to give the first cut herself. She stretched out her hand and from behind her a woman handed her a saber.

She then appraise the saber, noted its sharpness with something coated in the edges of the saber.

She then smiles maliciously thinking of all the things she will inflict Mikael with and then accompanied with two woman she descend down the stairs as she said her piece, her words reverberates around the ship.

'I took you in, Mikael, when your ship was shipwrecked. I took you and Orval in. I saved you from the Oceans Of Fire and the Spirally Sea of the Charbdis. I teach you all I know about the New World and you betray me! You betray me and your fellow pirates. And the price of betrayal is death! The price of bitten the hand that fed you is death! The price of using the trust of the pirate crew to further your own goals is death! Here in the Sea, I sail unhindered by storms. I always have the last laugh, Mikael. I, hereby punish you to a thousand cut' and her voice getting closer as she descend the last step of stairs and she arrived at the lower deck with her saber glinting dangerously.

Most men would wet themselves by now, or begging in their knees but Mikael is still standing resolutely, still smiling, and looking around watching the seagulls flying round the sails like it was a normal day and all that speech by Yuhuan was wind.

Vijaya and Rhyssa who looked at Mikael calm appearance both believed that Mikael is one weird fellow.josei

Yuhuan when she arrived at the last step was expecting to see the fear on Mikael face but when she sees the face of Mikael she once again almost bursted in anger. 

Mikael was whistling slowly, looking at the seagulls, and he even closes his eyes to appreciate the winds and the smell of the sea.

If she could run right now, she would charge and ram the saber right through that calm face.

'YOU!' She yelled and this elicit some response from Mikael who then looked at her. This time, Yuhuan continues her tirade.

'I will then skin your body and fed you to sharks. I will the-'

'Houh. Yuhuan, repetition. What did I say to you before? If you wanted to threaten a person, make the person feel the chill to the bone, make them feel like dying is better choice than living in torture. Death by thousand cut. Really? Skin me to death? That's the best you can do? I'm disappointed, Yuhuan. Be creative.' Mikael said, smirking.

The pirate crews all looked at Yang Guifei, waiting for her response but she was tongue tied. 

Never before she is being lectured on threatening people and now she does not know how to rebut his word.

The new crews of course does not understand the relationship between Mikael and Yang Yuhuan but Vijaya knows. 

They were lovers once. 

But the reason why Yuhuan was so angry with Mikael….is very complicated. Their stories could fill a book.

They were lovers for about two years before Mikael betrayed her. In what? That Vijaya doesn't know.

She breathed hard and her face is getting red in anger.

'Let see if you have that same arrogance when you are being cut.' She came closer, and closer and she raised her saber. 

Her eyes were determined. She would deal the first cut and then he would be tortured for the betrayal that he has inflicted upon her.

Men are all the same she mused. All wanted her body and then throws her when she is useless.

To think the Imperial Consorts of Emperor of Ming would become a pirate, even she would never have think of it. 

And even then she was betrayed.

'It's a pity' Mikael said, looking straight at her. And before the saber could cut him it stopped a few inches from his arm.

'What do you mean?' she asked. Mikael smiles. He knows Yuhuan for a long time and knows that she is a very curious person.

He closes his eyes and take a deep breath, hearing the seagulls cry, hearing the wind rustling the sleeve of his clothes, feeling the embrace of the sea and then he opens his eyes and he knows by telling this to her, he would be saved. 

And Rhysa would be saved to. 

He didn't plan for this.

But now that he has been captured he had to improvise. He could use Yuhuan fleet to go to the New World. 

And he knows that Yuhuan has a Leviathan tribesman in her crew. This would make the journey easier.

He looked at Rhysa and then nodded. 

Rhysa calmed down and nodded back. Whatever it is , it seems Mikael has everything under control which is why he is every calm.

'You think I don't know why you have been spending so much time scouring the Western Seas?' He said and hearing this Yuhuan was startled.

Did he know? she mused.

'What are you playing at, Mikael?'

And then he said his secret, the secret he kept from her all those years ago, the secret he promise to protect.

But reaching Asrana, uniting the Sun with him is of the utmost importance and plays a part in the prophecy.

He is merely a guide to destiny. He is not the main character and for once he is grateful he is not.

He knows what Asrana really is. He knows what in store for the Great Savior.

And he knows why the Darkness wanted him so bad. Why Amara decided to take him to the New World.

He understand it and he knows.

Asrana played by fate and as destiny jest with him, to bear the burden of the whole world in his shoulder, how burdensome would be his existence.

'TELL ME!' And Yuhuan scream brought back Mikael to his current predicament.

'I know the location of the Fountain of youth!' Mikael declared.

Hearing this everyone in the ship stopped and they all understand the implication of what Mikael has uttered. 

Only Rhyssa seems stupefied not understanding.

They all looked at Yang Guifei and in her face was a complicated expression and then he looked back at Mikael…..smirking at her.
