Chapter 482: Decision on the beach i

Arial look at the rain falling down on his body, drop by drop, and thunder boomed in the distance signifying a storm is brewing, blood dripping from his side, pain washes over him like a tide.

This is a tale of a foolish person he mused. 

He knows now. He knows. And knowing the secret fulfilled his quest. He sees the future…all possible futures, and all of his past. 

He knows what happened and what is true…what could have happened and what didn't, but he doesn't know how it should end.

Looking at the falling rain he smiles a bit.

Then he remembers the journey he has taken to reach here.....to this ravine filled with black miasma, alone, in pain…dying.

And then he remembers her. 

And her. 

The woman he felt sorry for. And the woman he has come to know and love.

Both of them. Both of them...and as he looked at the sky, he asks again

Did he deserve a happy ending?

Holding her hand, it was like holding a heartbeat. Like…holding something complete…and completely alive.

It was…perfect.

And then he remembers his conversation with her on the caves, his brave and valiant Empress.

'I felt like I know you of all my life' he said when he was inside the caves. And then smiling the most beautiful smile she replies

'It's because I love you' she said "and I don't want anything from you'

The rain falls harder and the blood flow faster. But still he smiles. And then knowing….of all the things that he has always been curious about, he wondered.

Could there be such a cruel fate in this world then his fate? 

Could the Gods be so cruel? How could he have not a happy ending, not once, in this life, and in the life before and the life before that?

And he understands finally what she has been saying to him before. For him…right now…he finally understands and finally agreed.

Home….the thing he has been searching for all this time…home…is not a place. It is a person.

And he is far away from home…from her.

He always thought that she needs him. It is opposite actually. It was he that needs her.

Only now…that it is too late. Powerlessly, he tries to struggle but his bodies become colder and the pain is becoming number.

Cold seeped into his bodies and he...slowly tries to live, tries to breathe. Being mortal…being powerless….is an unfamiliar feeling for him.

It is easy to be brave when you know you are invincible. It's harder when each action you take could end your life.

When he exchanged his heart that day, in the cave in the Land of Dragons, he lost something.

He, only now, he could fully understand, that everything has its price. Everything. That day he gained immortality and yet he loses all the things that made him want to live.

He loses his wife. Loses his friend. Loses his sanity. He lost a lot of things. 

In exchange for killing the cowardly nature in his heart, he exchange it with a domineering attitude, with heart that is cold as winter, a heart that has been frozen and solidified into a spiral of hate, anger and all of the evil emotion one could succumb to.

And then he remembered her. 

Smiling bitterly, he remembered her. Fearing that she would get scared and hide looking at him, even though it hurts so much, he could only look at her.

Shaking his heart crazily….and even though it hurts to death…he could only look at her and maintain that cold demeanor. 

Two women that he has come to know, and love.

If it could be that simple. 

If he could love like any normal person does, if only fate and destiny did not jest with him the way they do….he could have his happy ending a long time ago.

But now knowing his destiny….knowing the full story…he knows that his life was never supposed to be easy.

Then smiling he remembered a year ago, what happen in a certain beach. 

All the while, blood dripping from his side and his breath become slower and his body becomes colder.

The five swords intersected at one point and Arial grab the five swords under his armpit. In his body his imposing energy is unleashed like a raging tide.

Smiling, he exerted energy and channel it into his hand and with one strike of his palm a shockwave occurred, the five swords shattered into shards, flying around lodging itself to the surroundings.josei

One is deeply embedded inside a stone wall near the cave; another stuck itself into the sand.

Then his Imposing presence activated and with it his Heavenly Blood technique and activating this technique, his body emitted a sovereign aura.

His gaze shakes the soul of the five people even Tang Jiexiu could not help but feel his heart jolted looking at those cold red eyes.

'This is one of the Three Manuals.' He said. 

Arial snorted in disdain. Three Manuals? Arial did not understand what the man in front of him saying but it is clear the man want something from him.

And he will not be accommodating.

When Arial closes his eyes, cold energy was unleashed from his body and the temperature near him drops their temperature so much so, that the five people could feel their body feel cold like they were in the frozen reaches of the North.

Then opening his eyes the group could only see red.

His eyes was red as blood, like an ancient beast awakened from its slumber, ready to devour any kind of life that dares disturb its sleep.

He opens the first stage of his Blood Heavenly Technique. A sound of bones cracking could be heard from him as the group widened their eyes.

His physical strength strengthened, his already powerful skin is now like a hard diamond, his vitality burn with a vigorous fire. 

Then with another breath he opens the second stage as his heart beats like a thunder drum, his blood boils and cold energy wafted about unrestrained from his body, as his complexion became pale.

Every bodily function he has is enhanced, his smell, hearing, touch, everything was enhanced. 

His meridian shines with lustrous light as energy coursed through his body like a raging tide.

At this point, activating this two stages Arial could stand on the peak of expert. So, he did not activate the third stage. 

Not to mention third stage also tires him out.

In second stage he could open the forbidden door but he will not use it.
