Chapter 127 - Energy Circulation

However, nothing of that sort happened. Aleyria merely opened her eyes wide with a shock no lesser than the God, cat, dragon and man around her.

"It's undergoing another evolution." Fluff-fluff said softly as her luminous cat eyes stared into Aleyria's body and observed the dark energy closely.

WHOOSHHH!!!!!!

Aleyria's life energy rose a little bit more, but it seemed to be faltering a little bit.

Fluff-fluff hesitated slightly before finally stretching out its cute little paw and touching her forehead.

Both Alexander and Magius stretched out their own hands, as if wanting to stop her and say something, but somehow they stopped themselves, retracted their hands almost at the same time, and chose to remain silent.

Sensing that both Magius and Alexander had no objections, Fluff-fluff slowly injected her own luck power into Aleyria.

WHOOSSHHHHHHHH!!!!

Fluff-fluff was a lucky cat. All her life, she had never lacked for anything. The infusion of her will into her strange and miraculous luck energy impacted the universe in unusual but astonishing ways, causing it to somehow work to bring her desires to life.

Wanting nothing and needing nothing, she had no reason to be stingy.

And so, she was extremely generous with her powers when she really got into it.

Knowing that the strange power within Aleyria's body could absorb her own luck energy without any problems whatsoever, Fluff-fluff did not hold back. Slowly at first, but in ever increasing amounts, Fluff-fluff released her luck energy into Aleyria's body.

Within Aleyria's body, the strange dark energy absorbed Fluff-fluff's luck energy effortlessly and madly like there was no tomorrow. As it did so, it began to transform.

"Ah!" Aleyria gasped once more in surprise. However, it was not a gasp of pain. In fact, there was even a tinge of pleasure in her voice.

"We are witnessing the birth of an entirely new form of power right now." Magius said softly. "An unprecedented combination of the purest arcane energy, luck energy and a strange dark power of some sort."

It truly was unprecedented. The main realm that they were in was governed solely by the power of the Almighty God which was divided into four distinct powers. The three original powers of Life, Magic and Death, and the fourth addition, War. These four powers were largely separate from each other, and only a very, very small amount of intermixing had occurred in the form of Scion Lords.

Only 1 Scion King had appeared in the past in the form of Dragostan, and even he had quickly died, killed by the God he had betrayed.. Alexander's case was already an unprecedented occurrence, and had secretly given Magius a deep sense of gratification when he learnt of that. Add to the fact that he was also in the process of fusing with Flamewing… Alexander was poised to be a strong pillar that he could depend on. He could do with all the help he could get in the upcoming realm war.

However, what he was witnessing at that moment was yet another unprecedented event, one that could potentially ease his burden even more.

"There's something really strange about Arcanus 26 and Earth. For those two planets to give birth to two anomalies such as Alexander and Aleyria… I really need to investigate both planets thoroughly." Magius muttered to himself.

"An entirely new power indeed. Look deeper into her energy channels, Magius." Fluff-fluff said.

"Hmm?" Magius did as Fluff-fluff said. By Aleyria's side, Alexander tried to do that as well, but he could only sense a turbulent mass of dark energy writhing about within her. However, it was as Magius said. He did not detect sentience nor and harmful development within that power.

"That's… Not possible!" Magius frowned as he exclaimed loudly.

"What's happening?" Alexander asked urgently.

"Previously, her dark energy was circulating around her body in a highly complex pattern, almost like a magical enhancement rune. I had suspected that it was sentient because of that, but it wasn't. However, right now pattern in which it is circulating around her body...It is clearly and definitely in the form of an advanced magical rune!" Magius exclaimed.

"I have never thought of circulating the energy within me in such a way before." Fluff-fluff admitted. "I've always been content in allowing it to flow any way it wanted within my body. It's strange, why didn't we think of that? If we can weave energy into the shape of runes once we draw it out of our bodies to cast spells, why can't we circulate it in the shape of runes as well within our bodies? It's such a simple thought…"

As they were talking, Fluff-fluff had finally withdrawn her hand after injecting a ridiculously large amount of power into Aleyria's body which was all absorbed cleanly by the strange dark energy.

Aleyria continued to breathe heavily as she tried to exert control over the dark energy that was swirling about in her body.

"Don't try to control it." Magius advised her. "Let go of it, immerse yourself into it and follow it as it circulates around your body."

Aleyria nodded, closed her eyes and followed Magius's advice. Immediately, her already impressive aura surged powerfully once more!

Aleyria gritted her teeth and took a deep breath as she struggled to contain her strong urge to try and fight for control over her body. As she let out her breath, she slowly relaxed her hold over the dark energy once more.

WHOOSH!!

Once again, her aura experienced another incredible surge of strength! The power that she was subconsciously unleashing had already vastly surpassed Alexander's and was rapidly approaching Fluff-fluff's and Magius's.

Magius and Fluff-fluff exchanged a glance as a very welcome feeling blossomed in their hearts.

Hope.

Could Aleyria's power somehow transcend that of a God's?

At the same time, the question that they had been wondering about also grew in importance and urgency. How did that strange devouring power come to be?

However, they were soon forcibly ripped out of their contemplations when Aleyria finally crossed Fluff-fluff's power level.

"Incredible.." Magius whispered.

"Damn it! There goes my disciple…" Fluff-fluff muttered sourly. She had finally found a suitable candidate for a disciple after so many millenia! But as fate would have it, her disciple candidate suddenly became her teacher candidate. For the first time in her life, Fluff-fluff bemoaned her luck.

"Eh?" Fluff-fluff suddenly frowned. "My hold over luck and fate seemed to be… weakening?" She glanced at Aleyria whose aura continued to climb even after surpassing hers. Deep within her, she could feel a faint sense of reverence for Aleyria. Immediately she realized what was going on.

Aleyria had dethroned her!

She was no longer the sovereign over luck. Although she still had incredible power and her will could still impact the universe powerfully, her will was no longer sovereign. The universe had a higher power to bow to, and would execute her will only when it does not contradict that higher power's.

Fluff-fluff blinked as she took stock of her feelings.

"YES!!" She cried out suddenly. "She's the queen of luck now!" Fluff-fluff cried out. "You can stop bothering me from now on!!" Instead of feeling threatened and jealous, Fluff-fluff actually felt ecstatic and relieved!! Apparently, Magius's words regarding responsibility had struck her deeper than she had realized, and she had allowed the sense of obligation to be responsible to grown into a rock that burdened her heart. Afterall, there was only one Fortuitous Cosmic Feline, and with incredible power, comes incredible responsibilities too! (Magius's words)

She stared at Magius triumphantly.

However, Magius was ignoring her completely and staring at Aleyria intensely.

Whoosh. A surge of power suddenly rippled around Magius. And for the very first time in his extremely long life, Magius felt his power level stir and rise slowly.

"It works." Although he said it softly, everyone could sense the deep excitement contained within his voice.

Fluff-fluff stared at Magius and Aleyria as both their power levels continued to climb higher and higher, leaving her behind in the dust.

"Ah damn. Although it would be nice to live without responsibilities, it would be completely dumb to not take this simple step to power up." She glanced at Blackfire and Alexander. "You two should try it too."

Blackfire nodded and did exactly that. However, Alexander chose to continue holding Aleyria's hand and keep watch. Fluff-fluff shrugged at left him be.

He was, afterall, a man in love.

Very soon, Aleyria, Magius, Fluff-fluff and Blackfire were all sitting cross legged in the middle of the outer space, powering up madly.

They all exhibited different speeds in their power up. Far and away, the fastest growth was still exhibited by Aleyria whose dark energy continued to circulate within her in a strange manner, all the while rising in power. Magius was a close second. Being a powerful God and the source of all magic in the universe, he had full control over his power. Still, despite his control, the fact that he did not know he could power up in this way showed his desperate lack of creativity.

Fluff-fluff was a close third as she too skyrocketed in power.

However, Blackfire only closed his eyes for around thirty minutes before he stopped and opened them up again.josei

Alexander glanced at him questioningly.
