Chapter 1359 Dinner With the Gulliver Family

Nicholas nodded in agreement. “Know thyself, know thy enemy, and you will never be

defeated.”

“I understand now. I’ll send someone to inquire.” Timothy nodded and picked up his

phone to instruct his secretary. That night, he stayed at his sister and brother-in-law’s

house.

The following day. after a warm family breakfast, he prepared to go out and buy a gift.

“I’ll go with you.” Tessa said, rolling her wheelchair behind her brother to help him

prepare.

However, she only took a few steps when Nicholas pulled her back. “When it comes

to gift-giving. Edward is more experienced. I’ll have him come over and help. You stay

home and rest.” he said.

Since the person who had attacked Tessa in the past had not been apprehended, he

was understandably anxious about her going out. Moreover, her mobility was still

limited, so she could not flee in the event of danger.

On the other hand. Timothy understood Nicholas’ intentions and persuaded his sister.

“You don’t have to come. I’ll have Mr. Jackson with me. so there shouldn’t be any

When Tessa noticed their concern for her well-being, she felt touched and decided not

to insist on going out. Instead, she opted to stay at home.

Sunday had come, and it was finally time for Timothy to meet the Gulliver Family. He

went to the Gulliver Residence early in the morning with his gift. Even though the main

gate was not as intimidating as the Gulliver Family’s, it still pressured him. Standing at

the door, he looked at the three-story tall villa before him. feeling slightly nervous.

At that moment. Sabrina noticed he had arrived and ran out of the living room. “Tim.

why aren’t you coming in?” she asked, linking her arm with his.

Hearing that, he looked at her beautiful smile and suddenly felt less nervous.

“Nothing. Let’s go inside.” he said, following her into the living room.

Meanwhile, the Gulliver family members were all in the living room. “Mrs. Gulliver.

Yaromir. Hello.” he greeted them politely, one by one. Before they entered. Sabrina

had briefly introduced him to her family members.

Melina and Yaromir were smiling as they assessed Timothy. Timothy had dressed up

for the occasion, wearing a smart black suit that accentuated his lean figure and made

him look more composed. He had gone as far as styling his hair to appear more

vibrant and livelier.

Melina was pleased with her prospective son-in-law as she nodded in approval.

As for Yaromir. he had already known about Timothy and had no objections after

seeing how he had handled the Prospera Group situation the day before. Even so. he

had to put on a show of formality. He gave Timothy a curt nod and said in an

unemotional voice. “Mi\ Reinhart.”

On the other hand. Figario sat beside them, wearing a stem expression, and observed

Timothy closely without uttering a word. Unlike Melina and Yaromir. his scrutiny was

not discreet and carried a trace of disapproval.

Timothy naturally sensed that and grew more nervous. Still, he remained composed

as he greeted Figario with a nod. “Mr. Gulliver.”

Nonetheless. Figario was pleased with Timothy but resentful that the young man had

won over his precious daughter so quickly.

Thus, he didn’t give Timothy a warm reception and coldly said. “Have a seat.”

Timothy had guessed what he was thinking and felt helpless. After he sat down. he

presented his gift, hoping to win Figario’s favor. “I heard that Mi; Gulliver likes to

collect inkstones. This is an antique inkstone that I especially had someone search

for. I hope you will like it.” As he spoke, he handed over an elegantly wrapped gift box.

Figario opened it and immediately became entranced by the antique inkstone before

him. He couldn’t help liking it very much, but the fact that it was a gift from Timothy

made him restrain his excited emotions. “It’s rather unremarkable.”
