A small boat slowed to a halt at the beach and the apostles disembarked from the boat.
“Is this Cat Island?”
“Doesn’t look special.”
“Be careful. There’s a few hundred supercats on the island.”
A slim man wearing a dark windbreaker came down from the boat with a Ragdoll cat in his arms. “Finally, we’ve arrived.”
The Ragdoll cat meowed incessantly and typed on the cellphone that said, “Find Elizabeth! Remember! She’s a Ragdoll cat with very long fur! And very sweet looking!”
The eight apostles were taken aback as the description was not very helpful for identification of Elizabeth.
The man carrying the Ragdoll cat said, “Lord Napoleon, don’t be impatient. Though the Headless Horseman’s dead, we can’t possibly look for every cat. Let’s be steady and capture every supercat as we look for traces of Elizabeth.”
Napoleon frowned and said unhappily, “Humph, who’s my match on Cat Island? I’m here to let Elizabeth know how wrong her decision was!”
The man said, “Lord Napoleon, you are invincible but there are simply too many superpowers in this world. Let’s be careful as we tread on the enemy’s ground.”
Napoleon nodded reluctantly.
Flames abruptly licked the sky. There was a fire somewhere on the island.
An apostle said excitedly, “The Headless Horseman’s dead. If not, there wouldn’t be such a huge fire.”
“Perhaps the supercats were let loose and chaos reigned!”
“Rumors said that Cat Wonderland had lost contact with Cat Island. The supercats are without a leader. Seems like it’s real.”
The man carrying the Ragdoll cat calmed them down and said, “Don’t be excited. They are without a leader but they are powerful. Check your equipment. We’ll start our operation together. Don’t go too far.”
They unloaded anti-explosive vests, electric batons and tranquilizer rifles and equipped themselves as they trudged towards the woods.
They heard screams of cats and sounds of explosions from the deep end of the forest. It seemed like supercats were having a battle.
The men became more excited as they were more convinced that the Headless Horseman had perished and that the supercats were without a leader.
They moved forward with anticipation as they looked for traces of supercats.
The plump front scout stopped and waved to his companions for them to halt. Then he pointed forward.
A thick and long tail protruded from the bushes.
Napoleon’s eyes lit up and said, “That’s a Ragdoll cat’s tail! Capture the cat!”
The apostles looked at each other warily and they separated into two groups as they surrounded the bushes.
They shot out an electric net at the tail and the net tightened on the cat.
They heard a loud scream as a cat struggled wildly in the net. With the flow of electricity, the cat convulsed a few times and became motionless.
The man carrying Napoleon walked forward and saw a drenched Ragdoll cat, who was emitting white smoke, appear before them. He was the Ragdoll cat Caesar.
Napoleon asked in agitation, “Caesar! Are you Caesar?”
Caesar was first drenched before being electrocuted. He was in a terrible state and he squinted his eyes to look at Napoleon before asking bewildered, “You are?”
“It’s me, Napoleon,” Napoleon shouted. “You watched me grow up when I was young. You engaged Elizabeth to me!”
Caesar recovered himself and looked in astonishment at the handsome and burly Napoleon who had smooth shiny fur.
“You are Napoleon? You’ve awakened?”
Napoleon said grimly, “Humph, I awakened long ago. While I was exiled, I trained daily and fought in the boundless Asura Arena so that I could return and let everyone know that your decision was very wrong.”
Caesar was stunned and looked at the surrounding apostles and the electric net on his body. He smiled abruptly and said, “Great, you are back Napoleon. Let’s go look for Elizabeth. She misses you a lot.”
As Caesar was about to move, he was grabbed from the net. Caesar asked anxiously, “What are you going to do?”
Napoleon said, “What are we going to do? I’m here to catch all the supercats. Though we know each other, work is work. I have to capture you.”
“Capture me? The few of you?” Caesar extended his paws, flicked out his claws and hissed at everyone.
A plump man pressed on him and cut off his claws.
After being drenched and claws being cut, Caesar’s ego was totally deflated. He glared at Napoleon.
Napoleon said, “You better cooperate with us, otherwise it won’t be as simple as cutting your claws. We could shave your fur, mutilate your face, or cut off your tail. Do you understand, Caesar?”
Caesar looked angrily at Napoleon. “What did you call me?”
Napoleon said, “I called you... Caesar... What’s wrong?”
“Why are you treating me like an outsider?” Caesar said, “I know you are on close terms with Elizabeth. From now on, call me Dad.”
“Ah?” Napoleon was at a loss and he said shyly, “Dad?”
“Yes,” Caesar said. “Elizabeth misses you. When you were away, she mentioned you every day.”
“Oh... really?” Napoleon was embarrassed as he thought, “I only thought about her at most once a month... Elizabeth liked me for that long?”
“Of course.” Caesar said. “Put me down. I know where to find Elizabeth. I’ll bring you to her.”
Suddenly meowing and banging sounds were heard from far. The Napoleon-carrying man said in a low voice, “Be careful! Cats are coming!”
The apostles hid behind cover as they remained alert for action.
A yellow and white cat emerged from the bushes and started fighting.
Elizabeth slapped and scratched at Matcha who was howling and retreating at the same time. “Elizabeth! Are you crazy?”
Elizabeth said, “I’ll cut every strand of fur of yours.”
Matcha flashed and appeared ten meters away. He said angrily, “Enough! If you dare to attack me, I’ll retaliate!”
Elizabeth stood up. Her hat had fallen off during the fight and her clothes were also in shreds.
Caesar was pleasantly surprised. “Matcha! Elizabeth!”
“She’s not my Elizabeth.” Napoleon looked at the Ragdoll cat and said calmly, “Who’s this fat and bald cat?”
