Another Stupid Isekai

Chapter 191

Chapter 191

I woke up, but didn't move, still feeling Ki'rai by my side. I ended up opening my eyes, starring for a minute at the bottom of my cart, then I attempted to look to the side, at her.

? Unfortunately, that was enough to wake the chicken up. She needed a few seconds, then looked straight at me.

- Bawk!

- Yeah... Good morning to you too.

I never in my life expected that I'll be sleeping under a cart, on the naked ground with a rooster beside me, and on top of that exchanging a morning greeting with an animal.

She walked out, while I had to crawl. Then we ate, and were on our way again, but not for long since there was a cliff to deal with. This time, though, I couldn't count on Will's help with getting the carts down.

I cleaned the orcs on the bottom and then struggled for around an hour, even with the help of shadows. Apparently, if something is way bigger than you, even if you have enough strength, it's still hard to pick that up. And if that thing is filled with other things you don't want to lose, then it's even harder.

After I was done I got few better ideas on how to do it next time. Unfortunately, the time got wasted, but we resumed our walk.

From that point, there was a lot of fighting, but Ki'rai didn't join me during any of the battles. I was kinda curious about her combat capabilities. Surely she had to have some. Instead, she remained in the body of Tam.

We camped for the night in a safe spot and resumed our journey the next day. This repeated until we finally got close to the camp. I cleared the vicinity and took a slow walk to check the upcoming battleground. She accompanied me.

The barricades were ruined. Surely the orcs forces had to destroy them on their way to the city. There was a lot of force to that because some of the stones were thrown far away. Probably boss doings - I thought to myself.

Ki'rai observed everything with curiosity. I wanted to ask her if she has ever been in this deep in the canyon, but while she was a chicken, there were no chances of having a conversation, and she didn't seem to want to change forms.

I roamed there for a moment, then went to my carts to grab a weapon. It was finally time to start the battle.

- Stay here - I told to Tam-Ki'rai. - I'm going to engage with many orcs, so it's better if you are not anywhere close.

- Bawk!

It seemed to me like a yes, so I left, and sneaked my way to take a look at the camp. Everything seemed like it did in the past. Some guards were there, but mainly the workers. They moved between the tents, pretending to work.

I used shadow walk to close the distance, and immediately pumped my weapon with ki, and also activated shadow fusion. Then the slaughter started. With every cut, my fury grew stronger and stronger. I just massacred every greenskin that crossed my path.

The alarm was raised, and more of them started to gather in a tempo too fast for me to keep on killing them, but I was not gonna give up easily. I summoned the shadows, and kept slaughtering, using my minions to keep the enemies at a necessary distance to be able to move more or less freely.

I was holding a grudge against them, and cutting their bodies brought me joy. So much joy, that I lost myself into it. At some point, I lost all common sense. My world became red, just like the blood that was spraying around, just to turn into smoke.

I powerful punch to my face brought me back to my senses. I was surrounded and wounded. I used shadow walk to retreat, and quickly healed myself up, on the canyon wall. I managed to get so crazy, that I actually stopped feeling pain. I couldn't even feel that punch before it brought me back to reality. Then my face hurt like hell.

Still, it was nothing my skill couldn't handle for me. In a minute I was ready to back to go down, and I did. This time, though, I didn't allow myself to get pulled by emotion into this state of rage. The pleasure of killing didn't vanish. There was too much hate inside me, for it to just disappear. Instead, I found myself crying as I was massacring those dolls.

They say that revenge is not the way, and it won't stop the pain. In my case, it looked just like this. Even when I killed so many, it didn't stop the pain.

I had to retreat several times, but in the end, I managed to clear the whole camp. Then I went to Ki'rai, to get my carts closer. She was waiting there for me, still in the chicken form. Without a word, I summoned the shadows, and send them to work.

She seemed to notice something about me, as she wouldn't take her eyes off me. Maybe she noticed how messed up I felt on the inside, or maybe it was something about my appearance.

While the shadows kept working, I sat on the ground to eat. This made her finally turn into her original form, and join me. She still was looking at me very carefully, but I didn't want to talk with anybody at that moment. Maybe she could understand it without any words, or maybe it was just a coincidence, but she remained silent and focused only on food.

When every single stone my minions could find got picked up, we headed back to the safe spot. I put up the barriers and called it a day.

That day came to an end with 5 096 140 points remaining on my account, and three class points, and 485 orc crystals on my carts.
