Chapter 17 What's That Noise?
Chapter 17 What's That Noise?
?Ho ho~
The sudden sound at the back made Ming's scalp tingle.
As he took a step forward, he quickly turned around in a half-crouch, ready to shoot, and found that there were no zombies behind him.
In room 213, the face was stuck to the wooden door hole and looking at him as it slapped the door with a low growl.
After taking a deep breath, Ming approached the zombie who looked at him with gray eyes, then he raised his crossbow and shot her in the head. Through the hole, he looked inside, and there weren't any other walkers, so he opened the door. He found only onions and potatoes in the room, then three bottles of water and corn and cucumbers in the others.
Then he returned from the 21st floor to the fire stairs, where he cautiously stretched his head to look down, and the cries and howls from downstairs were much less.
Hoo!!
Suddenly, a dark gray figure swept past his eyes, forcing Ming to hide behind the door
Even though he didn't see the first few floors, he can be sure Da Vinci saw exactly one the last time it went out to travel.
He saw a long tail too.
Would it be an animal with a tail?
Standing still, Ming listened to the sounds downstairs.
Bam Bam!!
There were two muffled sounds, like something hitting the door.
It should be between the 14th and 16th.
Boom!!
A loud bang opened the door.
"Oh no... Oh no!"
"Get the liquefied gas tank, light!"
"Son of a bitch, let's die together!"
"... "
The gas tank didn't explode, Ming continued to listen.
It seemed that the mutant creature did not give that person the chance to die together at all.
It quieted down a moment later.
Looking down, Ming held the stairs forward again.
The black and gray figure quickly entered the stairwell, hissing hoarsely.
Due to the commotion just now, more walkers poured out of the fire stairs.
He carefully walked down to the 19th floor.
According to Da Vinci's travel search, there were no zombies on this floor, so he continued down.
He didn't see any zombies on the 18th floor either.
In the elevator on the 17th floor, he met a zombie without an arm. He got shot in the head by an arrow.
After reaching the 17th and 16th floor stair platforms, he didn't go any further.
Several zombies were crowding the fire stairs, and a steady stream of zombies was running up from the lower floors.
All of them were attracted to the sound.
Cheng!
One by one, Ming shot the zombies.
In order to keep the zombies down below at bay, he wanted to kill a wall of corpses here.
Although it can only delay them, it can't let them rush upward unhindered.
It was clear, however, that the mutant creature was not interested in zombies.
Even though they were howling, the black figure did not appear.
Roar Roar!!
Zombies keep on spreading.
Taking cover at the corner between the 17th and 18th stairs, Ming shot at the first zombie that came up.
Cheng!
After he shot the zombies at the front of the line, they flew out to smash down the zombies coming up behind them.
As the Ming step forward, the crossbow will shoot, and an arrow will kill them.
Once again, the process of shooting causes the knockback effect, and when the same zombie comes rushing up, they are once again knocked away.
Each time Ming shot, a column of light rose from the corpses, and at the same time, a series of kill data ran through his head.
However, he didn't care about that, he just hunted and cleaned zombies.
Cheng!
After shooting the last crossbow arrow, Ming grabbed the cards on the ground and headed for the 18th floor while the zombies below hadn't swarmed up.
They were temporarily held back by the wall of corpses they just killed, and those that fell to the ground scratched and bit indiscriminately, so they couldn't advance easily.
As Ming sat on the 18th floor stairs, he took out a bottle of water to drink and waited for the crossbow to recover his arrows, which takes 1 minute.
Perhaps he still needs to learn melee, otherwise he will only run for his life if the situation arises.
With the wall of zombies in the way, it'll take a few minutes for the remaining dozens to come up. He checked the four white cards he had just collected.
First: [Novice Combat Boots]
Second one: [Doomsday Handpaper]
Third one: [Primary Treasure Map]
Fourth sheet: [Quenched Lance]
"A spear quenched?"
The other three cards were put away by Ming:
[Durability of quenched spear 100/100]
[Strength + 2]
[Agility + 1]
Seeing this, Ming jumped up with joy. He was worried that he would not melee combat, it came to a long pole weapon.
Because it is a medium to long-range attack intended to offset the defects of his inexperience in melee combat.
Tearing open the card, he held a long spear in his hand. A wooden spear barrel measuring one meter six or so, with a two-handed grip adorned with leather strips, a triangular spear head measuring twenty centimeters.
He doesn't know if it's because he's gotten stronger or if he has a talent. He doesn't have hand tremors.
Below, zombies were already crossing the wall and running up.
The 18th and 17th floors of the stairs had a corner platform on which Ming stood with a pike in hand.
When the first zombie popped his head, he was shot through the brain.
Ming drew back his spear, stabbing it back and forth effortlessly.
The second zombie came up and was stabbed right through the head again. The body hit the third zombie when it fell backwards.
Ming fired the power crossbow and nailed the third zombie's head to the stairs.
Cooperation between crossbow and lance is becoming more and more pure, with the lance stabbing the head from a close distance while the crossbow shoots from a distance. In a short while, the remaining dozen zombies all became real corpses.
Holding a lance downstairs, the other hand collecting cards as he walked along, looking at the wall of corpses in front of him.
Looking at the time, the Doomsday Trading House should open soon.
Get home first
Let's talk about that black-gray figure afterward
Ming still locked the fire escape door on the 20th floor.
He heard crackling in the room when he passed his neighbor's door.
"Wow, that's weird, huh?"
After cleaning every room on his floor one by one, Ming frowned. Could there be any left?
