Chapter 103 Death Comes Knocking, Prelude! Two Experts vs Death! (part 2)

Meanwhile, at the show’s task force headquarters, the five Captains and other members sat waiting.

Wang Yun and his group were almost invincible at this point, thanks to their disguise masks and Wang Yun’s real identity, making it difficult to locate them. Unless they ventured into the city center or the entertainment venues rigged by the task force, their chances of being caught were slim.

So, all they could do was wait for any news about the serial numbers on the bills, and as soon as they could confirm the information on the currency, they could lock onto Wang Yun and his group.

Suddenly, the phone at the task force headquarters rang. Wu Mingyu’s eyes sharpened as he quickly answered the call.

“Hello, is this the Skynet Operation task force? I’d like to report something. We’ve received banknotes with the serial numbers you posted a reward for.”

The call brought immediate news, lighting up Wu Mingyu’s eyes.

“Great, let’s exchange contact information. Please send us photos of the banknotes. Also, what type of establishment are you? A store or a hotel?”

“We’re a hotel. We even have video footage from when we received the payment,” the caller replied. “The night before last, seven people came to our hotel to dine. They might be the ones you’re looking for.”

“Okay, let’s add each other’s contact information. We’ll hack into your hotel’s surveillance system to verify, and once confirmed, we’ll transfer 200,000 yuan to you,” Wu Mingyu responded.

“Alright,” the caller eagerly agreed, and they exchanged contact details.

“Leave it to us!” Ames and the three members of the Red Hacker Alliance immediately began to infiltrate the hotel’s surveillance system. Soon, scenes from the surveillance footage appeared.

“There they are, those seven people. Let’s quickly check their identities.”

In no time, they managed to identify the faces of the seven individuals. It was Wang Yun and his companions from the dinner the previous night.

“The identities have been checked. Except for one middle-aged man among them, the rest are unidentifiable, which means they have no official identity. Based on body type comparisons, we’ve confirmed it’s Wang Yun and his group,” several staff members began their search and comparison, responding promptly.

“Good, target locked, begin the search immediately,” declared Kolyev, his eyes shining with excitement.

“The search has begun. With our scanning approach, as soon as they are captured by surveillance cameras, we can quickly scan and identify them. Moreover, for that Wang Yun with an identity, as soon as he uses his identification documents, we’ll be able to track him down immediately,” Ames said, and the next second, his eyes lit up, “We found a record of Wang Yun staying at a hotel.”

“Immediately check the records of that hotel,” Wu Yaoming said, his eyes sparkling with excitement, “Seven people, all their faces have now been exposed. Adding up the factory where Wang Yun’s face was revealed, it means Wang Yun still has two more masks. Not enough for all seven of them.”

Ying Yuezi and Wang Yue, the two Captains, also focused intently.

“The best outcome would be to completely take down Wang Yun this time. After all, he still has two masks. If he abandons his six subordinates, he remains a thorny issue,” Wu Mingyu warned.

“Exactly, we should use this opportunity to capture him. But in any case, taking down his six subordinates shouldn’t be a big problem,” Kolyev nodded. “Find their current location, where they are staying. Wang Yun may be able to stay in a hotel, but his subordinates cannot.”

“Guesthouses, some of them only require the owner to check the ID card without uploading the information online. Another possibility is renting a place for his subordinates to stay,” Wang Yue suggested.

“Search through surveillance footage as quickly as possible. It’s uncertain if Wang Yun is aware of our reward announcement,” Wu Yaoming said, his gaze flickering as they scrutinized the monitors closely.

“We’ve found it, we located where Wang Yun’s six subordinates are staying. It’s in the Nanshan Ju community. There’s a guesthouse there, where they seem to be staying. We checked the surveillance and found that Wang Yun’s six subordinates entered this community last night, and so far, there’s no footage of them leaving. As for Wang Yun himself, we discovered that he took a taxi to Nanshan Ju community about sixty-five minutes ago,” Ames and three members of the Red Hacker Alliance reported after half an hour of investigation.

“Can we find out which guesthouse they’re staying in?” Wu Mingyu immediately asked.

“We can search online for the guesthouse owner’s contact and then ask them,” suggested a young member of the Red Hacker Alliance.

“Let’s hold off on contacting them for now. Since the surveillance hasn’t shown them leaving, there’s a 60% chance they are still in that guesthouse. Let’s send people there first,” Kolyev instructed. “Once our officers are in place around Nanshan Ju community, we can start calling the guesthouse owner, to prevent Wang Yun and his group from getting wind of it beforehand.”

“Alright, then let’s have the program inspection personnel move out immediately,” Wu Yaoming nodded in agreement.

“We must still be cautious in this operation,” Captain Wang Yue stated, “After all, with the reward we’ve announced, Wang Yun and his group might already be aware of it. We have to be cautious.”

At that moment, Hao Jiancheng and Wu Hua, standing nearby, spoke up in unison, “We’ll handle the traps, leave it to us.”

Their faces brimmed with confidence. Hao Jiancheng was a top-tier bomb disposal expert in the country, and Wu Hua was renowned as the foremost magician and secret revealer. They were both highly experienced in dealing with traps and various forms of hidden threats. Their presence was to counter any traps Wang Yun might have set.

“Good,” Wang Yue nodded in agreement. “With two experts on board, we don’t have to worry too much. When you go, wear bulletproof vests, just in case.”

“We should go too,” said the four Sky Eagles members, speaking up calmly.

“Since everyone’s going, we’ll join as well,” declared the two brothers known as Snipers.

“Alright, if everyone’s heading out, then as soon as we spot Wang Yun and his group, we’ll definitely be able to catch them,” Wu Mingyu said, filled with confidence this time.

If they could pinpoint Wang Yun and his crew with such a team, how could he possibly escape? Especially with a helicopter overhead. And with their surveillance monitoring the area, if Wang Yun and his group were still in the community, there was an 80% chance of taking them down. At worst, they could eliminate Wang Yun’s six subordinates.

“Hehe, let’s set off,” Hao Jiancheng and Wu Hua chuckled, heading out the door.

“Teams One, Two, Three, and Four, along with our new members, head to Nanshan Ju Community,” Wu Yaoming immediately issued the command.

A new round of confrontation was about to commence.

As the order was given, four teams, totaling seventy to eighty program inspectors, headed toward Nanshan Ju Community.

At the same time, not far away two helicopters rose into the sky as their propellers resounded in the sky. The four Sky Eagles were on board, two piloting and two seated in the back, manning a heavy machine gun. Though lethal, everything was simulated for realism.

A convoy of vehicles left the program task force and sped towards Nanshan Ju Community.
