Chapter 274 Leave It Alone, It Isn't Mine

Chapter 274 Leave It Alone, It Isn't Mine

"Look, I already told you once to stop fvcking touching that didn't?" Samuel heard the raised voice clearly from down the hall before he even reached the room where he knew Jovani and Leo were.

"How many times do I have to explain to you that it isn't mine? So what if I'm in a hospital covered in blood?" It was unusual for the younger cousin to hear the other sounding so upset.

? "Look, there's blood here already. Isn't that blood right there? A hospital is expected to be filled with blood. I will get it taken care of later."

Samuel decided to wait until the conversation was over before he knocked on the hospital room door.

The room became completely quiet before the door was cracked open. Alonso was the one who checked it.

Once he saw who it was, he had no problem opening the door further so that the younger cousin could come inside.

He was rather quiet despite being in the same room as Jovani. By his face, it seemed clear that he wasn't thrilled about the way that everything had gone down.

"Is it a bad time?" Samuel asked. The hospital room looked rather packed between the patients, Alonso and the two nurses who were inside.

"Let him in, there's no reason to leave him standing out there." Jovani was the one who said this, his voice curter than normal.

"In fact, why don't you two leave for now so I can exchange this conversation for something more decent. There's no reason for you to be here any longer after everything that you have already done." Despite the displeased looks the older cousin was shot, the nurses left as he requested.

Not though before making one more comment about him needing to clean himself up.

"They aren't wrong though, you do look rather a bit of a mess." Samuel remarked when he got to see his cousin.

The other looked rather worse for wear and it was hard by all the blood that covered his shirt to determine who the blood belonged to.

His hair and face were also a mess between the sweet and blood-splattered that covered his cheeks. The heat had made his skin flush a rather bright shade of red as well some of which was likely to have been sunburn.

"I have been in worse condition than this before, it isn't anything that I won't be able to survive from." Jovani replied with a huff before flopping down in one of the hospital chairs.

Now that the nurses were gone, he knew that he would be able to get away with it without getting yelled at for getting blood all over things.

"What took you so long in getting here?" The older cousin then asked as he changed the conversation.

"I didn't know when Lena might wake up." He admitted as he looked over at the hospital bed where Leo was laying. He didn't look to be in quite as bad shape as his father but he had yet to wake up.

He had been given an IV and a blood transfusion due to the blood loss he had suffered from hitting his head. His concussion was only mild, but they had no idea what impact if anyone it would have on him until he woke up.

"You decided to bring her here with you?" Jovani's tone let the other know that he wasn't pleased about the decision that Samuel made.

"I didn't think that it would be a great idea to leave her back at the house on her alone while she was still asleep. I knew that she would want to know what was going on when she woke up so I thought that this would be the best." The younger cousin replied.

"What about you? What exactly happened?" Samuel then asked as he turned his attention to the other who still looked rather peevish.

"He was being stupid is what happened to him." Alonso was the one who said this. He didn't try to hide his displeasure from the young mafia boss who simply rolled his eyes at the other.

"We both know that things would have ended up going much worse than they did if I didn't do what I did on my own." Jovani retorted.

"And I would do it again without a second thought if I found myself in that kind of situation again." He went to run his hand through his hair but grimaced when felt the stick sensation of the blood and sweat that was caked in it. He was going to have to have a proper bath when he got back home.

"What were you really think if at all when you asked him for the red drink?" Alonso sighed. His comment caused Samuel to look between them with a rather confused expression.

"I asked for something red because it happens to be my favorite color of drink and I didn't want water." Jovani replied in a rather deadpan tone of voice as he fixed the other with a straight expression.

Alonso gave the other an incredulous look and was about to reply when the older cousin raised his hand to cut the other off. He was in no mood to be lectured by the other man.

"What exactly are you talking about?" Samuel asked not understanding the whole situation.

"Your cousin is an idiot is what's going on." The right-hand man replied as he rubbed his hand over his face. This was exactly what he didn't need to be dealing with after everything else that had been going on in the day.

"I'm not an idiot, I knew exactly what I was doing." Jovani replied as he crossed his legs in an attempt to get into a more comfortable position.

"I had seen that the Gatorade also had happened to be further down in the cooler. I thought that by asking for it, it would be a good opportunity to see what I was dealing with." He explained.

"Perhaps a risk, but one that turned out to be worth it in the end." Alonso didn't look like he was convinced by what the other was saying.

"You can hear the story later Sam, there's still one more person that you need to check up on and it would probably be a good idea for me to see how Zane is doing." His body wanted him to rest a while longer, but he knew that there was no chance of that happening before everything else had been settled.

"You might want to get yourself cleaned up before you end up heading out there again. If you don't, you probably risk getting yelled at again." Samuel teased causing the other's face to drop.

"I swear, if they bother me one more time about it, I will have some rather unkind words for them." The older cousin grumbled as he stood up.

"They can handle some blood for a little while longer until everything here has been properly taken care of." He had no patience for any more comments in his current mood.
