Chapter 105: Unfathomable!

Elliot could feel that the eyes of everyone were on him right now. A calm and hot wind bellowed, ruffling his brown hair and fluttering his uniform. The onlookers couldn’t help but marvel at his existence. With his hands behind his back, he looked like an immortal standing at the peak of a mountain, looking down at the world in all its entirety.

“Fuck! Mom, Dad, I’ve seen it! I’ve seen it!!”

“It’s the birth of a legend!”

“Thousands of soldiers but none can penetrate through him.”

“He’s a wall that won’t fall for all eternity.”

“He’s a stronghold that can fend off an entire army.

“A tsunami that can overturn the land cannot submerge him.”

“Destruction of the world cannot annihilate him.”

“He is a divine Mountain, one that can shoulder the nine pillars of heaven and defend the land from the invasion of hell without using his hands or moving his feet!”

“He’s a goddamn fucking legend!”

Feeling that they have seen a miracle, the crowd erupted in an uproar. Even if Elliot ends up losing, he would be branded as the greatest talent and hailed as a genius who managed to survive the attack of tens of magicians a realm above him! His friends were also praised and hailed by the crowd.

John lowered his head. He wasn’t comfortable, not only because this was the first time he became a part of the center of attention, but also because he was feeling genuinely nervous.

“Keep your heads high! We’re the only magician in the magical realm that managed to survive an all-out attack from several magicians a realm above us.” Elliot said, “Can’t you hear the crowd? They’re cheering for us! All that noise is for us!”

His words boosted John’s courage. He raised his head high and saw the crowd that had stood up from their seats, standing on the raised platform and the benches as they cheered for them.

“How is that possible?!” The eyes of Marshall, Warren, and Eliseo opened so wide that they threatened to pop out of their sockets, and their mouth gaped so widely that their jaws threatened to touch the ground. The word disbelief filled every fiber of their beings.

“Our combo can take down even the strongest of monsters in the demonic realm so how come he came out of it unscathed!” Eliseo said. One could see that his mind was slowly crumbling as something far believe the realm of what e considered possible have happened.

“It’s simply inconceivable!” Warren said.

“Instructor, please consider the strength of our attack and just think about it rationally. Can mere magicians in the magical realm block that? No! There’s no way! They must have used an artifact!” Marshall screamed out.

John heard their words and felt angered by what they said to defame his bro. He retorted, “You guys are damn shameless. Since you failed to do anything against me, now you’re accusing us of cheating. Do you have any morals?! Did your parents forgot to teach you that?”

“Enough!” Theo said, signaling John to keep his mouth shut.

“Roadside Dogs can bark as much as they like, but no one is going to ever understand them. There’s no need to bother yourself with roadside dogs.” Elliot added, clarifying why Theo told John to keep quiet.

John turned silent.

“Say whatever you want! Truth will come to light, anyway!” Warren said.

“Once it’s proven that you’re cheating, we will win, and your reputation will go down the drain!” Marshall taunted him.

“Instructor, please do us justice,” Eliseo said while looking at instructor Leonardo, who was flying in one corner of the arena with a desperate gaze.

“I already checked him! He isn’t cheating!” Instructor Leonardo shook his head, expressing that he is disappointed at Marshall, Eliseo, and Warren, then said, “No use of artifact was detected. If you want to accuse someone, bring proof of it. If you keep on accusing him of using an artifact without any proof, then I would be forced to disqualify you.”

The expression of the three leaders and their teammates fell. Elliot, on the other hand, started laughing and jeering at them. The crowd also booed them down.

“What should we do?”

“Even our strongest combo failed against him! What can we even do?!”

“Our reputation is going down the drain. If we lose against him, then it’s as good as destroyed.”

“We need to win this fight, no matter what the consequences.”

The three leaders were trying to come up with a desperate plan to take down Elliot when in those very moments, he made his move.

“I want to take them down,” Elliot said as the profound thought of changing the divine shield into a weapon that will help him defeat the three groups popped up in his mind. Then, his eyes brightened in a golden light.

<-10 units of the essence of life>

The moment he willed to realize his thoughts, the matrix on his soul absorbed ten units of energy from his body, and a black dot manifested in front of him. Right after, it made its way towards the inner wall of the dome-like divine shield. After that, it mixed with it.

Whoosh

An instant after that happened, the shield changed into a thousand extendable golden hands, and they made their way towards the members of the three groups with such extreme speeds that the ones below the magic grandmaster stage weren’t even able to keep up with them.

In their eyes, the hands looked more like a ray of light than anything else.

The hands were so fast that the leaders and the rest of the members of the three groups weren’t able to move out of the way or even properly defend themselves in time.

Before they could even clearly make out what was coming towards them, the hands smashed on their face, slapping them silly, making their dignified and refined faces look like the buttocks of a baboon, before yanking them out of the arena as if they were some kind of trash.

With almost a casual attack that wasn’t overdramatic but only swift, so swift that the crowd couldn’t even see it, Elliot defeated the academy’s strongest channel opening stage students.

It was a one-sided slaughter.
