Chapter 30: Level 5
<You’ve used 600 units of the essence of life to level up two times>
Elliot used two hundred units of the essence of life to advance to the fourth level and another 400 to reach the fifth level. Now, he was left with 400 units of the most precious energy for living beings, but it was a pretty sizeable amount.
<You’ve advanced to the fifth level of the Magical Realm Evolutionary Stage>
He needed 600 units of the essence of life to advance to the sixth level of the magical realm evolutionary stage, something he wasn’t too far away from accomplishing.
<Your magic energy capacity has increased to 50 units>
He didn’t need magic energy for now as his supernatural powers didn’t require it. It used the essence of life instead of magic energy, after all. Magic energy happened to be useless for now, but it won’t be after he gains evolution cells in his bloodstream.
<You’ve obtained 6 points of God’s Breath of Growth>
He immediately invested them all into his stats to increase his overall physical capabilities.
<Your Strength has increased to 17 points>
<Your Stamina has increased to 16 points>
<Your Speed has increased to 20 points>
Elliot closed his eyes, relishing the feeling of having his physical capabilities improved by God’s Breath of Growth, feeling himself becoming stronger than all magicians in the magical realm evolutionary stage, knowing full well that he would be able to defeat anyone in this evolutionary stage with his body alone.
He has reached a stage where he was strong enough to kick the ass of everyone below the Channel Opening Stage without needed to use his ability, or that’s what Elliot believed.
The next day, Elliot and Theo woke up early in the morning. They prepared themselves, freshening up and wearing academy uniform before heading out of the room and grouping up with John Crimson. The three of them were heading towards the cafeteria to grab breakfast before attending the class, which teaches a subject that all three of them wanted to learn.
When walking through the stone-paved path shaded by the outcropping of trees, someone has started to stalk them, but they didn’t realize it as they were absorbed in a world of their own. The stalker was none other than Lisa, who had a silly smile on her face, happiness resulted from remembering the man in her wet dreams. In her lustful dreams, Elliot was like a thirsty man walking in the Sahara that has found a pond of clear cold water and drank it to his heart content.
“He looked so handsome and domineering that words can’t compare. Kiyah!”
Lisa couldn’t help but blush, feeling heat rising up her face, and she stalked them until they reached the cafeteria.
“I will order for you guys,” John said after they reached the cafeteria.
“Get me a Mac n cheese,” Elliot said telling John what he wants to eat in the morning.
“A burger for me. If possible, get a soft drink too.” Theo added.
“…”
John looked at them with a look that expressed all his thoughts.
It’s still morning, alright!
The cafeteria isn’t owned by my father!
Where the hell do you think I’m gonna get such stuff for you?
“We’re just joking, man!” They said, and a moment later they told him what they really wanted to eat.
“I get it!”
John went to get it as they sat down on chairs near an empty table.
“Hey, did you hear what happened to Alexander?” Rodriguez who was sitting a few tables away from them, said to Cain.
“Yeah, I heard he got mercilessly beaten into a sorry state by someone.” Cain said, “Did they found out who it was?”
“Nope. No one knows about the person that trashed Alexander.” Rodriguez replied, wondering who thrashed Alexander.
“What? How could that be possible?! Didn’t the instructor investigate?” Cain asked, feeling a bit shocked. Such a big incident happened yet the instructor didn’t even try to find the culprit?
Rodriguez shook his head and said, “They sure did and even asked Alexander if he knows about the name of the person that assaulted him, but he said he doesn’t remember anything that happened after class.”
“What?” Cain said, mouth agape in shock.
“It’s too creepy.” Rodriguez said, “It’s almost as if someone wiped his memories.”
“Yeah, right,” Cain said in a sarcastic voice. “I think he is too scared to snitch the name to the instructors.”
Rodriguez’s eyebrows raised. “That might be the case.”
While Elliot and Theo were eavesdropping in their take, a voice sounded from the third student sitting beside Cain.
“I heard one of the instructors saying that he has lost his vitality, too.”
“Did he get done in by a succubus or a vampire?” Rodriguez said in a terrified voice worried that alien races has invaded human society
“What? You still believe in such imaginary creatures?!” Cain exclaimed, laughing a little.
“I was just cracking a joke, man,” Rodriguez said, inclining his head to the side to hide his embarrassment.
“Me too!” Cain laughed sarcastically, taunting the person opposite to him.
Elliot listened to their words in silence and breathed a sigh of relief, knowing full well that no trouble will come his way as someone has wiped Alexander’s memories.
And that someone was sitting next to him!
It was none other than Theo Rose, the half-elven!
“What do you think about that boy’s words? Are alien races hiding in human society?” Theo suddenly asked as he looked at Elliot.
Hearing his surprising words, Elliot’s eyes twitched uncontrollably.
Man, there’s one right next to me!
It’s you!
I already know that the elven race is hiding in human society but do I have the guts to say it?
No!
Who knows what trouble will come my way if the elves hiding among humans find out that I know about their existence.
They might just try to silence me to keep the secret hidden from humans.
“Nope, isn’t that just a fairy tale?” Elliot said with a smile hiding all his inner turmoil of complex and complicated emotion.
“Isn’t that right?” Theo smiles, looking away from him.
