Back For My Daughter

Chapter 361 - I Saw Her Smile After A Whole Year!

Chapter 361 - I Saw Her Smile After A Whole Year!

In the old man's meat shop.

A sudden silence encased the whole shop.

The old man was looking at Yuan Meng with his eyes filled with gratitude and a thankful look.

He had no words to say.

The thing which he was so much worried about was his granddaughter's yearning for her mother.

And now ever since this young man's arrival, things had changed a lot.

In just these three days.

The little girl who was always crying to meet her parents had started to let go of it, and today, the young man's wife was even willing to be Xiao Ya's mother.

What more could he ask for?

Ye Qian and Yuan Meng walked to the old man as he wiped his tears off quickly.

But these were not the tears of loss or sadness but of joy.

"What had left, is gone, there is no point in feeling sad for it now, this little girl is our only family and seeing her happy makes my heart overflow with happiness."

The old man muttered as he could see his daughter's image in Yuan Meng as she carried Xiao Ya.

"Thanks a lot, little girl. I will be always grateful to you."

The old man joined his hand and said in gratitude.

Yuan Meng shook her head and said lightly.

"Uncle, there is no need for that, I have a little girl just like Xiao Ya. So shouldn't I also love her?"

Yuan Meng simply asked while fondling Xiao Ya's cheeks as she pinched her nose lightly.

"Hehe."

The little girl's giggle filled with the whole shop and the calm atmosphere returned back to normal.

"That is what you think, but others won't be like you."

The old man sighed and shook his head in sadness, he didn't want to say what he was thinking about and only spoil this happy moment.

"But that's only good."

A bright smile appeared on his lips as he glanced at his granddaughter who was giggling and seemed to have become really fond of this young man's wife.

And noticing that Ye Qian also didn't seem annoyed about it, the old man's heart was only filled with blessings for Ye Qian and Yuan Meng.

"Here, I have packed some of her books and her uniform in it as well."

"It will be better for you to not come here at the night just to send her back."

"I will go there to receive her from the kindergarten tomorrow."

The old man handed the small Winnie Pooh bag to Ye Qian who was already carrying the cotton candies and had intended his other hand.

"Don't worry old man, I will get Xiao Ya to the Kindergarten with Butterfly tomorrow."

Ye Qian understood why the old man was giving the clothes and books with them.

It was indeed not right to send the little girl back home at night and then again Ye Qian also didn't know where their house was.

Couple with the fact that the weather would get unbearingly cold during the night it would be a hassle and the girl might also be very tired after the party.

But Ye Qian didn't know how could the old man believe them so much.

It was really strange that he was willing to let his granddaughter stay at someone's house.

And that was not all, Ye Qian knew that the news about the criminals might have been known by the whole city.

"Thanks a lot."

The old man smiled and patted the little girl's head as she looked at him and exclaimed.

"Grandpa, tell Grandma to not worry about me, I will be back to her tomorrow."

The little girl was full of spirit.

"Yes yes my little one, I will tell her not to worry about you."

The old man nodded and waved his hand at the little girl.

Ye Qian, Yuan Meng walked out of the shop and turned around waving at the old man.

Little Xiao Ya seemed very energetic as she waved her hand at her grandpa with a beaming smile on her lips.

The old man also smiled and waved his hand while seeing the three walk away as the girl extended her hands here and there as she said to Yuan Meng while pointing out many of the places.

"Old Mo, do you really think that was a good idea?"

The customer who was also the old man's friend while looking at the old man still looking at the window.

"I don't know, but all I care about is Xiao Ya's happiness."

Old Mo said while reminiscing the image of Xiao Ya giggling just a few moments ago and a smile appeared on his old parched face.

"But what would she feel when she knows that that girl is not her mother?"

The customer frowned.

"You know Old Fan, Xiao Ya already doesn't know how her mother or father looks like."

Old Mo gave a self-mocking smile and then turned to his counter table where there was a small diary made of leather.

He opened the diary and saw a photo of a young man and woman holding a little baby in their hand.

Beside the young man was Old Mo, while on the young woman's side there was a middle-aged woman.

'See my little girl, your daughter has completely forgotten you for the good, I know that you will only be happy after knowing of this, but those people didn't even want to accept the little girl in their family now, so what can we have done?'

'I just bless the young man and his wife a happy life, hope you are also happy now, you girl won't be crying now.'

Old Mo muttered in his heart as he ran his finger on the photo of the young woman.

"We are already old, and we have no one else other than Xiao Ya with us, but if she is not happy then what is the use?"

"You know Old Fan, I saw Xiao Ya smile like this after a whole year."

"SIGH."

Old Fan could only sigh.
