Chapter 164 Eventually I drag myself out of bed and take a shower, put on fresh clothes, and then venture out to the main room. James is sitting at the table with a laptop open. Being Aaron’s second in charge keeps him busy. It also looks like he’s texting someone. I want to ask if it’s Aaron, my wolf is pushing the words to the tip of my tongue, but I stubbornly swallow them down. “I’m going to the corporate floors,” I tell James. “I’ll be fine on my own.” He se nds me an absent nod, too immersed in whatever he’s working on to worry much about what I’m doing.
Lucky, because I’m not planning on going to the corporate floors at all.
