One more lightning icicle might not have sounded like much, but if Saleen had just one more of the lightning icicles to spare during his fighting the great head inquisitor, he would not have almost died. What Saleen lacked back in that particular battle was simply the power to deal the final blow.

He had given the demon magic book to Eleanor and he was thinking of giving the set of magic books given to Saleen by the grandmaster to his student, Truman .

Even if Saleen was not able to stay by Truman’s side to guide him, it would do Truman a lot of good, by having take notes and write his thoughts in the magic books, as well as letting him try to store magic with them.

Saleen had considerably reduced need for magic books after he possessed the Starline Armament. A magic book could store 18 magic spells, six of them his level.

The six spells corresponded to the six major elements. It would be ridiculous to have all six to be from one single element.

Saleen had even less need of magic books than magic staffs. The Starline Armament had 24 star charts capable of storing spells, so it became absurd for Saleen to waste his energy on magic books.

Saleen finally was able to craft high level magical equipment using the materials that Joey had given him for crafting magic staffs. When god’s mulberry and ghost oak were used together, he could store three spells in one staff.

Furthermore, a magic staff enhanced a mage’s mental powers and recovery rate.

A mage, when armed with the magic staff, would have almost twice the combat capacity of a mage their level.

Despite having a good magic staff of his own, Saleen deemed it necessary to continue crafting them. There were too many mages serving him. While the Sreeger Island mages were wealthy, a staff that could stay with its mage until they reached level 12 was a precious commodity.

Saleen had two shenhe, one of them used to create the water puppet. Rossen the water puppet’s powers were comparable to a level nine sorcerer. He wanted to become human, and Saleen allowed him to do so.

The price that Rossen had to pay for freedom was that he now had to work on his own to achieve any progress.

Saleen had thought he had squandered the other shenhe, but he recrafted the gourd after advancing to level 10. Mystical changes were seen in the azure current within.

The current had been a thin, six-meter line. After Saleen advanced and recrafted the shenhe, the current turned into a ball of water, which contained all the power of rules that Saleen mastered.

There was also a complete star chart in the ball of water. The star chart was a mirror image of the starry sky within the level 19 Star Gathering Needle that Saleen had acquired a while ago.

Lightning powers could be stored within the ball of water. While its powers were far below his family badge, it was stronger than the Thunder Dragon Blaster.

The ball of water became like a magic nucleus that was capable of storing anything. It had actual magic nucleus abilities capable of powering Saleen’s magic.

The shenhe was modified so much that it looked nothing like its original form. Saleen named it the Star Water and put it inside his Starline Bangle. Saleen did not mind that it took up a slot, as it meant that it would be unaffected by territorial powers.

The only thing that Saleen found frustrating was that his mark of hatred remained. He was unable to clear it using any skill.

It was left on Saleen by Ismail before he died. That mark made him the enemy of the King of the Underworld. If he entered the purgatory plane, he would come under attack by the king and their believers.

Saleen did not know if he would ever go to the purgatory plane, but the thought of having such a mark on him made him feel uncomfortable. If the powers in the purgatory plane were normal, the King of the Underworld would have become a level 15 god.

Having made such an enemy had Saleen on guard at all times.

While there were conflicts between the gods and the King of the Underworld was against the Lord of Glory, it did not mean that the King of the Underworld would let him slide.

Saleen had amassed a huge amount of magic scrolls from training for over a hundred years. Almost all of the scrolls contained unique magic skills that Saleen had developed on his own.

Scrolls crafted using starline paper would last for a very long time. Even if Saleen made it to level 12 and lived as long as an oracle, he had no need to worry about the scrolls losing their powers.

Saleen accidentally put the Ring of Gifts within the Starline Bangle, which also took up a slot. It enabled Saleen to borrow divine powers, and he had to keep it on his person until his contract with Myers was fulfilled.

It was where Saleen’s luck was found. So long as the Goddess of Myers continued to wish to be resurrected, the power of fate that she left behind would be inherited by the one carrying the ring.

Many mages would envy Saleen for the equipment that he came to possess. He had a staggering amount of materials with him, and because he came to possess ways of crafting magic power furnaces, he also came to hoard magic nuclei of all levels.

Materials easily piled into mountains within the dimension stone, which was in turn, stored within the Starline Ring.

Most of the material he had gotten from the grandmaster was low level junk to the grandmaster. However, they were hard to come by treasures on Myers Mainland. The grandmaster knew nothing about the changes in the outside world and saw them to be means of tricking Saleen.

Little did the grandmaster know that Saleen had been able to craft a large amount of high level equipment in the alchemy factories in Metatrin City, including magic power furnaces, due to having so much ‘low level’ material and equipment with him.

Saleen and Sika did not change much in appearance. When humans reached level nine, their appearances would stay fixed.

Signs of aging slowed at level seven. At level ten, Saleen felt that his lifespan could reach over 3000 years, calculated with astrology.

Nicholas was only able to become a level seven holy master due to limited resources. When he reached level nine, his appearance was fixed at 60 or 70, making him look old.

Saleen was increasingly impressed with his teacher, Jason. Saleen had used 100 years to advance, yet Jason never used any external powers to get where he was, a level ten mage.

Jason remained the wisest and most talented mage that Saleen had ever seen.

Jason did not get himself into trouble and go on mystical adventures like Saleen did. Jason was only a common mage, and it had been sufficient for him to become one of the strongest to be found on the mainland.

What was most regretful to Saleen was that his fate was unpredictable due to his contract with the Goddess of Myers. Astrology was unable to be used to calculate specifics, which made Saleen place more importance on the contract.

The hall would stay intact for another three to five years, but Saleen had no intentions of continuing his training. Sika was still taking in the secrets of level ten that she came to learn.

Saleen walked down the altar and then went outside the temple. If he did not use anymore of the temple’s powers, the place would probably last twice the amount of remaining estimated time. He let Sika train on her own for a little bit more.

Saleen walked outside the temple and came before Nailisi, who had taken the golden dragon form. There were a large amount of magic plant fragments by her side.

“Master.” Nailisi spoke in human tongue. A level ten golden dragon would not be able to speak human languages. There were many rumors and legends about the dragons, the ability to speak human languages being one of them.

The body structure of a dragon was different from a human, and the way they made sound was very different. It was utterly impossible for a human to learn dragon tongue magic. Conversely, if a dragon learned human languages, they needed to advance to level 13 and take human form to do so.

But how many dragons would be willing to take human form? That would diminish most of the power that a dragon possessed after all.

“What is all this?” Saleen pointed at the magic plant fragments on the ground.

Nailisi shook her head. “Master, the passage of time in the tunnel was extremely fast. A bunch of magic plants showed up every few months... and wanting to enter the temple. I cut them all up.”

“Magic plants capable of movement?” Saleen thought for a bit. It seemed that there were other secrets within the hall. Magic plants usually had powerful auxiliary powers. Myers was known as the Goddess of Nature, so it was a given that her powers to control plant life was no weaker than a nature priest.

The passage of time within the tunnel allowed the magic plants to advance quickly. It was normal for them to become something like magic beasts.

Saleen was still pondering what it was that felt off. The hall behind him trembled and crumbled within mere seconds!

Saleen was frightened, but he did not sense any harm to Sika. Nailisi moved forward a couple hundred meters, which Saleen covered in one step, preventing him from being hit by the crumbling hall.

That was just the beginning. The other three halls shook and crumbled within seconds. The people training all came out, instead of staying inside the hall like Sika.

Saleen saw his followers after the halls crumbled. He was elated to find Nicholas had advanced.

Unsurprisingly, Eleanor had advanced to level nine as well, and even Isabella had made a breakthrough, reaching level nine. Saleen was unable to tell if it was her sword techniques or magic that had advanced. In the usual case, that would have been her magic side.

What was regrettable was that between Jola and Sul, only one of them had advanced to become a true might. It was Jola, who never seemed to be serious about anything and spent his days fooling around.

While Sul had reached pinnacle state of golden grand swordmaster as well, from Saleen’s perspective, it would take Sul another ten years to advance to the next level. He was curious as to how he trained in the hall.

The other one who emerged looked rather cold, and it was none other than Don. He stood quietly with the God-hunting Spear in his hand. It was unknown what was going on inside his head.

Saleen was able to tell that Don had also advanced to become a true might, but his state was not as stable as Jola’s. It was probably due to his lacking state of mind. The young man had already let go of his hatred and fear of his younger days, imbuing all of his sorrow into his sword, Tears.

Don, on the other hand, was thoroughly dead inside. It was due to his vast experience, which was accumulated from training for over a hundred years before he encountered Saleen, that he was able to advance to the rank of a true might.

However, the God-hunting Spear was unable to take in his anger, so his state was less stable after he advanced.
