Saleen only considered Theisio capable, not truly powerful.

Saleen realized it from watching Jason. A truly powerful person needed a mind that refused to be bound by any conventions. Powerful people made compromises, but they would definitely not be enslaved.

Theisio’s mind submitted to the Lord of Glory entirely, making him little more than a dog. However, the dog’s fangs were sharp and Saleen needed to think of ways to kill it to prevent it from biting the people he cared about.

The Seal of Divine Power was capable of offense, and the God Grace Staff was capable of defense, while the Bramble Crown was able to casting inexhaustible blessings.

The trinity of the three godly items were used as a single entity, inspiring despair in those who went against them, just like Saleen’s Magical Element Tower.

As such, Saleen’s target was first the great head inquisitor.

The great head inquisitor’s skills were evil and peculiar. He had used the Divine Tablet spell to cheat death in a certain-death situation during their last encounter. The Divine Tablet spell was far more convenient than the Figure of Fate, but it was a one-time-use spell.

The Fate of Figure was capable of taking fatal hits in its owner’s place, but Saleen was unable to escape immediately after the attack was deflected. The Divine Tablet spell, on the other hand, would send the owner’s soul away when a life-threatening situation was encountered.

The soul was able to be safely sent to the Divine Tablet, even from thousands of miles away.

However, given that the great head inquisitor had acquired an Eternal Blessing from the pope forcefully, he would prove to be quite troublesome to Saleen. Nicholas elaborated on the properties of Eternal Blessing and powers in corresponding levels.

Saleen learned that regardless of how powerful his attacks were, the Eternal Blessing would be able to deflect them once, unless his attack surpassed what was bearable by the god that bestowed the spell.

The great head inquisitor did not bring the Armageddon Codex with him and instead brought a huge scepter. The scepter was made of bone and Saleen was able to sense the massive power stored within, as well as lingering resentment.

The knight in purple armor behind the great head inquisitor carried a pair of axes. The pair of great axes had holy prose on both sides of their blades. They were not etched onto the blade, but produced from the light shining from within.

The golden knight moved at incredible speed, just like how Jalin, but unlike Jalin, he was unable to cover odd corners and make peculiar turns. Saleen knew that it was due to the combat boots that the golden knight wore, instead of the knight being capable of wielding earth magic.

The axes were a greenish bronze. The golden knight held the axes high and appeared before Saleen’s tower in an instant, bringing them down with great force.

The axes clashed with the elementite of the tower, producing a sound like rotten wood cracking.

A tornado fell from the top of the tower, shrouding the golden knight. The great head inquisitor pointed with the scepter at the tornado and shouted, “Dispel!”

The spell cast by 600 demonic spirits disappeared without a trace.

Saleen did not cast the ball of lightning despite seeing how he had failed to keep the golden knight at bay. The speed of the balls of lightning were just too slow. Unless someone was able to keep the enemy still for several seconds, they would have to rely on luck to hit the enemy.

However, the balls of lightning had massive powers and were easier to conjure than tree-shaped lightning bolts. Furthermore, balls of lightning were able to stay in shape, making them seem like a natural magic spell.

But that was not an accurate description. At the very least, the lightning attack unleashed from Saleen’s family badge resembled natural, large scale lightning bolts more. That meant that when one’s level reached a certain point, even humans would be able to mimic nature.

Saleen was able to cast four balls of lightning and seven Lightning Icicles every day, so he had no reason to fear the great head inquisitor. Furthermore, Lightning Icicles only needed an hour to cool down, making them the most effective equipment in Saleen’s possession capable of replacing Crystal Finger.

The great head inquisitor gazed at the tower in the tower and suddenly regretted what he promised the pope. He had little to gain from the effort as the tower’s walls were too resilient.

The golden knight charged again and brought the great axes down hard onto the tower, but there were only two more gashes found on the tower. Furthermore, the gashes did not result from the tower being damaged, but from materials chipped from the blades of the axes.

The great head inquisitor raised his scepter and pointed at the tower. A voice rang from in his skull, like resonating sounds heard in vast, empty spaces.

“O’ omnipresent darkness, thou art the opposite of light. Thou art the shadow of light. Take this singing of praise and grant me power. I am thy believer and thou serve the Lord of Light. I shall pay with the price of my soul to be rid of the blasphemous one right before me!”

The great head inquisitor cast a stripping type of divine spell, which worked like an instant death magic spell. It would strip the enemy of their life when successfully cast.

Saleen cursed under his breath. The tower could not defend a skill like that. The Figure of Fate was probably going to take the hit. The Figure of Fate could be summoned to battle, but he had never needed to do so since he had the Puppet Constellation.

The Figure of Fate was able to cast magic that far surpassed Saleen’s own level.

Unknown power seeped into the tower and brought unpredictable rule properties with it, heading straight for Saleen. The Ring of Cosmos on Saleen’s hand turned on its own. Two runes stacked and unleashed a rule power that Saleen found unfathomable.

The power was vast and magnificent, as if he had opened a gate where he stood, bringing rules from another crystal wall system onto Saleen.

Saleen felt that his fate had become incredibly powerful. The power of fate! No, this isn’t the power of fate, but immutable rules, cast right onto me. Saleen merged with the rule, overpowering all other rules working on him.

What the hell is this? Saleen almost threw the Ring of Cosmos away. He had no control over the power.

Saleen knew that if anyone mastered the power, all the living beings on Myers Mainland would have no choice but to submit.

However, the power was gone as quickly as it came. The skill cast by the great head inquisitor was destroyed. The Ring of Cosmos quieted down and the inner layer no longer turned.

Saleen lifted his arm and shot all seven Lightning Icicles from his Thunder Dragon Blaster. The great head inquisitor spit blood onto his scepter and a black shadow let out an eerie, pained shriek.

The great head inquisitor backed away at breakneck speed and brought out the Armageddon Codex.

A huge sign flew out of it and wrapped around him. All seven icicles came from different directions but were blocked by the spinning sign. The sign was broken and the electrical spark on the icicles died, reducing the icicles to pieces of ice.

They were still 100 degrees below freezing and the cross on the Armageddon Codex shot out, opening an irregular portal before him.

The great head inquisitor dove straight into the portal and stopped experimenting.

Saleen’s skill frightened him tremendously. He had never felt anything like that, not even when he was communicating with the Lord of Glory.

In that instant, he only felt an urge to kneel and worship.

The great head inquisitor ran without hesitation. A strong thought welled up within his mind: Theisio set him up. Saleen’s strength was so great that only the three godly items would be able to take him on. After he lost the Divine Skull, he had lost all means of taking on Saleen.

Seeing his enemy so frightened and fleeing in terror even after blocking all seven of his Lightning Icicles, Saleen despised the great head inquisitor. There were only a handful of people capable of blocking all seven Lightning Icicles at the same time. Saleen knew the overbearing properties of the Lightning Icicles better than anyone else.

Saleen was not in the mood to go after the great head inquisitor. Even Theisio was shocked by the power displayed within the Magical Element Tower.

While the power may have lacked magnitude, the rules seemed to have vaguely surpassed the Lord of Glory’s rules of light.

Theisio wanted to retreat as well. Even if Saleen had only borrowed such power instead of truly mastering it, it would enable him to stand undefeatable. The rules were too overarching, making it seemed as if all rules within their crystal wall system were infused with that set.

Theisio felt the rumble of the three godly items, which had nothing to do with the Lord of Glory. They feared Saleen. Theisio was both surprised and elated.

He was surprised at how Saleen’s mysterious powers were so insurmountable, but at the same time, he was elated at how the three godly items actually began to develop their own weapon spirits.

If weapon spirits emerged from the three godly items, it would mean that he was finally freed from the Lord of Glory’s control, and that the three godly items would be at their most powerful.

The three godly items were about to develop their own weapon spirits despite being on Myers Mainland for less than 10,000 years.

Another terrifying thought welled up in Theisio’s mind before he realized. Would he become a god after he mastered the three godly items and had shaken free of his god’s control.

It was a huge temptation. If Saleen had not brought the power of the Ring of Cosmos to bear, he might not have had such thoughts, but the rules unleashed by Saleen had surpassed everything that the Lord of Glory was and had.

Their god was no longer omnipotent!

Such thoughts were seeds, and it was only a matter of time before they sprouted. Theisio was terrified. If that were the case, it was only a matter of time before he fell.

No, this is not falling. This is just a thought. I shall gain God’s forgiveness through prayers.

But why did God never advent on Myers Mainland? He knew that the three oracles snuck out without permission. If even the oracles lost control, where was the Lord of Glory. What actually happened?

The thoughts ran around Theisio’s mind and he forgot about the great head inquisitor, who had just returned.

A mist of black aura shot from the great head inquisitor’s heart up to his mind. The Armageddon Codex in his hand opened and flipped to the third page. His sclera lost all its white, and his pupils were a dark purple.

“Look out!” A red-robed bishop saw something amiss and cast a huge spear of light, aimed at the great head inquisitor, who let out a ferocious smirk and cast a ball of grey light from the Armageddon Codex.
