At this point in time, Lex showcased her leadership capabilities, she remained composed despite all that danger. The clouds in the skies were getting denser by the moment, rain would descend anytime. She ordered to team to travel full speed against the wind.

Saleen’s calculation speed was faster than Lex’s, but he did not make a judgment beforehand. That was a problem with his command ability. If they were to calculate the position of rainfall using the changes in the concentration of water vapor in the clouds, Saleen could calculate more than ten times quicker than Lex.

Not everyone possessed the abilities left behind by the Goddess of Myers. For Saleen, the Goddess of Myers’ necklace had altered his constitution thoroughly, enabling him to possess abilities which could rival that of a magic prodigy.

The direction in which the wind was blowing was safer. Hunters loved to say this sentence, as it contained countless blood lessons. This sentence, was also acknowledged by the mages.

At the moment, Lex’s team sprinted against the wind, which would double the consumption of the magic war chariots. Before long, the wheel axles would have to be changed.

If there were no skeletal warhorses, Lex could only bless the warriors with the Windspeed Skill, and they would have to travel on foot. When warriors were blessed with magic, they would be adversely affected and get fatigued quickly. Fundamentally, the Sword Aura clashed with elemental magic. Once the warriors got blessed with the Windspeed Skill, it would be more difficult for them to release their Sword Aura.

Qin was so powerful because it had so many mages, so the warriors could receive coordination training every single day. Qin was known as the empire of magic because of that. It did not mean that Qin would send their mages to be the pioneers in war though.

Woo woo…

The wind grew stronger, luckily it was not another sandstorm. As the black sand particles were drawn into the strong winds, they hammered the armor, producing shrill noises. The Soul Flame in the eyes of the skeletal warhorses flickered vigorously. The skeletal warhorses would not get exhausted, they were also unafraid of heat or cold, they could do battle until death.

The rain drops were sparse and hurried, and a stench filled the air. Suddenly, hundreds of bodies fell from the skies, they were all small magic beasts.

On the ground, in the black sand particles, microscopic creatures began emerging, slithering their bodies as they made a beeline for the bodies. As Saleen witnessed this strange cycle in the desert, he broke out in cold sweat. If it was not for Lex’s metal house, they would have been part of those bodies falling from the sky.

Every step the skeletal warhorses took with their gigantic hooves, pale green flames would be spattered. These flames were extremely frosty, they were the sinister flames exclusive to a spirit. It was because of these sinister flames that the warhorses’ hooves did not sink into the sand.

Ke chi, ke chi…

A humongous shadow appeared up ahead. Saleen used his Icy Sight to take a look, and he saw a magic beast which was dozens of yards tall. This magic beast might be several yards away, but because it was too huge, the desert could not conceal its stature.

The skeletal warhorses grew very uneasy. In fact, there were two warhorses who dodged to the side without being commanded. Even though a death mage was not present, Saleen could still control these skeletal warhorses. They were now out of control though. It seemed like the skeletal warhorses had a bad impression of the gigantic creature up ahead.

Lex was more knowledgeable than Saleen. She picked up the alchemical binoculars and looked into the distance. Puzzled, she asked, “What is that thing?”

Lex did not recognize it, causing Saleen to feel that something was amiss.

Narnia took the alchemical binoculars from Lex, and began observing the magic beast. The magic beast did not travel quickly. Once the warriors took control of the skeletal warhorses, they would be able to avoid it easily.

Lex told Saleen, “Narnia has seen the illustrations of every creature, that is why I brought her along for this trip.”

Saleen nodded, signaling that he understood. Narnia was a newly promoted grade-4 mage, so her offensive abilities would definitely pale in comparison to an average grand mage. Since Lex had brought her along, it must mean that she had some special skills.

“Viscountess, we should hide from this thing. It will be best to use this place for our coordinates, then continue the journey forty-five degrees from our current position.”

Narnia felt that her mouth was dry, but she continued, “This is a Sindika from the Sixth Abyss.”

An abyssal creature!

All the mages and swordmasters began to have a headache. The swordmasters had a headache because of the ferocity of an abyssal creature. The mages had a headache because it was impossible for abyssal creatures to appear in this location. There were only two explanations for this. Firstly, someone had summoned the abyssal creature, but taking into account Sindika’s grade, it was not very plausible. Secondly, the space in the desert was in disorder, so there was a passageway connecting to the abyssal plane.

Out of all summoned creatures, creatures from the abyssal plane were the most unlikeable. When a mage summoned an abyssal creature, the creature would attack the mage first, which was in sharp contrast to the behavior of death creatures.

Only after defeating a summoned abyssal creature would the mage be able to command it to fight for him.

The problem was, the abyssal plane was also called the chaotic plane. No matter how proficient a mage was in the summoning spell, they might also make an error and summon an abyssal creature hundreds of times mightier than they were.

If summoning demons was dangerous, then summoning abyssal creatures was suicide. When a demon was in a good mood, it would help the mage carry out some tasks. When an abyssal creature was in a good mood, it would kill the mage to derive pleasure.

Of course, when an abyssal creature was feeling down, it would also kill the mage so as to appease itself.

Sindika was only a grade-8 creature, but it was genuinely at grade-8. Even after traversing the planes, Sindika’s power would not decrease by a lot. At the very least, it was not any different from a grade-8 creature on this plane.

Grade-8 only represented Sindika’s ability to manipulate the elements. In the aspect of physical strength, Sindika was definitely at grade-9.

Those skeletal warhorses began fleeing when they saw the Sindika because they recognized such a monster. It had been some time since the abyssal plane invaded the death plane, even the three kings got so annoyed that they came to this plane to attain peace. Since the skeletal warhorses were not even qualified to resist such an abyssal creature, they felt they had to try to escape.

When Sindika was still more than one mile away, Lex’s team had totally altered their direction of travel. To their rear would be the area of rainfall, so they could not turn around. Lex listened to Narnia’s suggestion by shifting them forty-five degrees from their current position before continuing on the journey.

There was a rambunctious boom, even the ground trembled. The Sindika had collapsed onto the ground, while the pale red flames which emitted from its body had been extinguished.

The drizzle landed on the Sindika’s body. It convulsed, as the corrosive rain landed on its body.

Lex looked at Saleen, but Saleen simply shook his head. The Sindika might have fallen, but Saleen was not greedy. That might be a trick by abyssal creatures, or the Sindika might have already sustained serious injuries earlier on, thus erupting in this position. Even so, it would be harder to deal with the creature which harmed the Sindika.

If Saleen tried to take advantage of the situation, he could possibly come face to face with the human or creature which harmed the Sindika.

A grade-8 abyssal creature was extremely beneficial to a mage, even if it was dead. Sindika had the best material for equipment refinement, because the toughness of its body was that of a grade-9 magic beast.

The value of this Sindika far exceeded that of the metal house which Lex abandoned. Saleen was tempted, but he did not want to change his plans just because of this bit of profit.

If the main temple could be discovered, then an infinite number of Sindikas would not be able to outweigh it. If the main temple was not found, then the efforts by Lex and Saleen would go down the drain.

Lex knocked on the chariot’s window, and the swordmasters increased their speed. They did not even bother looking at the fallen Sindika.

Even though the swordmasters had donned the Spirit Snake Armor, possessing the same kind of power as a grand swordmaster, they also would not be Sindika’s match.

The Sindika resembled the walking dragon on this plane, just that it was uglier and had less skeletal thorns. The scales on the surface of their bodies were very similar, but a Sindika could emit flames that’s power was similar to that of the Fire Ring of Resistance.

To the grand mages and swordmasters clad in the Spirit Snake Armor, a level-3 spell was no big deal. It was not the Sindika’s combat technique however. It was only a kind of natural behavior for the Sindika to spew flames from its body, just like how humans breathed.

If a mage could achieve the effect of level-3 magic just by breathing, then other humans would definitely regard that mage as their leader.

The fallen Sindika had already noticed the team of humans faraway. Being extremely weak, it wanted to lure the humans over. Unexpectedly, that team of humans altered their direction of travel, totally disregarding its injuries.

The Sindika roared furiously and wanted to stand back up. After struggling on the ground for a few minutes, the flames on its body did not recover and it did not manage to stand up.

Om…

The sound of air trembling filled the air. Sindika’s three eyes moved at the same time, noticing that a black colored hole had appeared in front of it. This black hole was only the size of a fist, but the Sindika could not measure the depth of the hole using its eyes.

It was as though one could not look away anymore after staring at it.

Following that, an arm formed by bones extended from within the hole. This arm was very slender, but it was angular as though it had been grinded with a trowel.

With a sway of that skeletal arm, the black colored hole was opened and a skeleton jumped out. This creature was not actually a skeleton, it was just that its shape resembled that of a skeleton.

This was a strange spirit. The bones on its body did not have an arc-shaped structure, instead, they were angular.

The Sindika could feel the terror of this spirit because it was a member of the team who invaded the death plane. It had killed numerous spirits in the past. The Sindika and its abyssal army tried their best to avoid interacting with this spirit who was right in front of it at the moment.

It was the Mechanical Soul. Against a normal spirit or an abyssal creature, it was a disaster.

This skeleton had a rectangular skull and square-shaped eye orbitals. Even though the Soul Flame in its eyes flickered in a regular fashion, it was not a genuine Soul Flame. It was a kind of magic image. If one stared at it for a long time, they would be entranced, and might do some unimaginable deeds.

Ga…

The Mechanical Soul hollered for a moment, causing its lower jaw to sound like it was going to break. With a stretch of its arm, its bone fingers had already pierced into the Sindika’s forehead.

The Sindika tumbled across the ground. Its forehead was dozens of yards from the ground. When the Mechanical Soul extended its finger, it had leaped into the air, reaching a suitable height.

Using a finger, the Mechanical Soul pierced the eyes located on the front of the Sindika’s forehead.

Ow…

Even though the Sindika was a high grade creature and knew how to speak three different languages, it actually roared like a magic beast when it was stabbed by the Mechanical Soul.
