Chapter 312 Not Interested In The Dead

At this moment, Katy’s expression changed drastically.

She knew how much the Johnson family indulged Rachel.

She also knew how much Tom, the secretary–general, and Adrian, the top. lawyer, doted on their niece, Rachel.

If she really offended Rachel, the Johnson family would definitely hold her accountable. At that time, the Page family would not be able to stay out of it.

Rachel looked at the ever–changing expression on Katy’s face and smirked.

coldly before saying, “There won’t be a next time.”

With that, she turned around and left without looking back.

When she walked out of the washroom, a text message notification came from Rachel’s phone.

She thought that it was from David, so she clicked on it.

[Rachel, this is Louis.]

[Rachel, I’m at South Garden Residences now. You haven’t been back for a long time, have you?]

[Rachel, I’ve already figured out the ins and outs of the matter. I apologize for my attitude today and for what Jane Smith did today.]

[Rachel, I’m very sorry for hurting you again and again because of my mistakes. No matter how much I apologize, it won’t make up for the damage. I’ve done to you. However, I hope you can give me a

chance to do my best to make up for it.]

Rachel suddenly felt that Louis was an extremely ridiculous person.

Back then, he had resolutely chosen to abandon her at the wedding. Now, he was pestering her and saying that he wanted to make it up to her. He was really doing it again!

She had initially been suppressing the anger in her heart because of Katy. Now that she saw the messages from Louis, she felt that the evil burst of fury in her chest was jumping up and down in her body. She urgently needed a breakthrough to vent it.

Vexed and frustrated, she went to the window, opened it, and took a deep

breath.

“You’re very unhappy.” David’s voice came from behind.

Rachel turned around and saw David standing behind her, clad in a black

shirt.

Two buttons on his shirt were undone, and his Adam’s apple could be seen clearly. Compared to his usual abstinence, he looked more frivolous and lazy.

Rachel restrained the coldness in her eyes and adjusted her emotions slightly. She smiled. “Why did you come out?”

“I’m worried that my little girl might get lost.” David walked forward and stretched out his arm to naturally hold her slender waist. He raised his other hand and his fingertips brushed past the corner of her eye and landed on her cheek. “Tell me, what made you upset?”

His deep and cold tone carried a hint of comfort, inexplicably calming Rachel

down.

“It’s probably because I went overboard today. Louis wants to have a word

with me alone.”

“You agreed?”

David’s voice suddenly became deeper, and an unknown coldness flickered in the depths of his pitch– black eyes.

Rachel could not help but laugh when she saw how uptight he was. “Why are you so nervous?”

“Tell me,

did you agree to his request?” David seemed to be really concerned about this question. He held Rachel’s shoulders with both hands and stared at her without blinking.

Rachel shook her head and said, “A qualified ex should act like he’s dead. I’m not interested in dead people.”

This answer made David elated.

Rachel looked at the man’s face that was so close to hers. She stood on her tiptoes and planted a gentle kiss on his lips.

David subconsciously tightened his grip and held her tightly in his arms, deepening the kiss.

When his phone rang at an inappropriate time, David saw the caller ID and hung up. Then, he held Rachel’s hand and walked towards the private room.
