Chapter 28: I Don't Want to Sell It
Normally, Wang Weimin would never go to places like KFC because there was only fast food, which was unhealthy and cheap. He was the heir of Jubao Jewel after all, and he should dine in more expensive places.
He met the most beautiful girl of their class at yesterday's class reunion, so he invited her to hang out together today.
The girl had a boyfriend who was born into a powerful family that year, but she was single now. She knew that Jubao Jewel was quite popular these years, so she agreed.
They felt a little tired after hanging around for a long while, so they wanted to find a place to have a rest. The girl knew that he would pay the bill, but she didn't want him to believe that she was greedy, so she chose KFC, which was cheaper than a teahouse.
Wang Weimin said nothing about her choice because he wanted to please her.
They casually ordered some food and mainly wanted to have a rest.
When Feng Jun sat down across them, they didn't pay much attention to him until he finished the two hamburger combos in only 10 minutes.
They couldn't believe their eyes.
Actually, Feng Jun hadn't been hungry for a long time, but he was starving now.
When he stood up and went to order more food, the girl mumbled, "Wow, he eats a lot."
She was amazed by the way Feng Jun ate.
Wang Weimin smiled. He then picked up the stone Feng Jun left on the table. "This looks interesting."
"Don't take other people's stuff," said the girl.
"It doesn't matter. He left this stone here probably because he wants to sell it," said Wang Weimin.
He had seen it many times before.
It wasn't a lie, because many people sold stuff like that.
The girl, however, was still worried. "I think he wanted to occupy this seat with the stone. You can ask for his permission to play with it after he's back."
Wang Weimin smiled but said nothing further about it.
He didn't want to leave a bad impression on the girl.
In his eyes, only poor people dined in a KFC.
Rich people would never walk into a cheap place.
Besides, Feng Jun ordered a lot of fast food to fill his stomach, which made Wang Weimin believe that he was very poor.
Wang Weimin even thought that Feng Jun could be a labor worker.
Therefore, he didn't take Feng Jun seriously and kept on playing with the stone.
His family ran a jewel business, and he had seen far more jewelry and antiques than ordinary people. He knew the stone was very special once he touched it.
The pattern on the stone was also quite interesting. Upon closer inspection, he saw faint clouds, peaks, and a temple on the peak. It was just like an ink painting.
The most interesting thing was that there was a touch of ochre on the edge of the stone, which looked like a sunset glow on the horizon.
If it only had the appearance of an ink painting, it wouldn't be rare, but it was very special with such a touch of ochre red.
It indeed was a strange stone!
Wang Weimin made up his mind to buy this stone.
Feng Jun raised his head to look at Wang Weimin. "Sorry, I don't want to sell it, and I used it simply to occupy this seat."
He hated Wang Weimin's behavior and attitude.
"You don't want to sell it?" Wang Weimin smiled and leaned back in his seat. "Offer a price."
His voice wasn't loud, but his arrogance was too obvious to be ignored.
Feng Jun couldn't stand it.
He already told Wang Weimin that he didn't want to sell the stone, but Wang Weimin thought that he was poor.
This time, Feng Jun didn't bother to say a word. He pointed at the stone, then the table, which meant that he wanted his stone back in its place.
Wang Weimin felt embarrassed and mad.
Feng Jun was eating now, and his mouth was stuffed with food, so he didn't want to talk.
Wang Weimin, however, didn't care about his real thoughts.
The girl he wanted was sitting next to him now, and he must prove that he was a man in front of her.
Therefore, he was determined to leave with this stone today.
After remaining silent for a while, he smiled. "Well, a thousand is too much for a stone. I can give you five hundred yuan for it since I really like it."
Hearing that, Feng Jun stopped chewing.
The next second, he kept on eating with obvious disdain in his eyes, which meant that he was still unwilling to sell the stone.
Wang Weimin was furious by his expression and slapped five hundred-yuan bills down on the table before he squeezed the stone in his hand and stared straight at Feng Jun.
Feng Jun still said nothing and shook the packet of fries in his hand.
"Sure, enjoy your meal." Wang Weimin stood up. "I'll leave before you."
Feng Jun was angry.
He wanted to beat Wang Weimin, but they were in a public place now, so he had to curb his anger and dial the police number.
Afterward, he showed Wang Weimin the screen of his phone.
"Idiot." Wang Weimin sneered, "You have the money on the table, and it's a legal deal."
He wasn't afraid of the police at all.
In fact, Wang Weimin's family was very rich and influential in this city, so he believed that he could be safe.
Feng Jun, however, was poor and powerless.
Besides, Feng Jun's stone was very special because of its patterns and color, but its shape was very common.
The popular strange stones must be different in shapes first.
If a stone had a good shape and beautiful pattern, it would be expensive.
In other words, Feng Jun's stone wasn't worth a lot of money.
Five hundred yuan was enough to buy it.
Wang Weimin didn't lack money at all, and he bought this stone simply because he liked it.
As long as he liked something, he was willing to pay a lot for it.
Anyway, the prices of strange stones could be very different in different people's eyes.
Feng Jun snorted and pressed a button to call the police.
Wang Weimin looked at him coldly and didn't move at all.
He didn't believe that Feng Jun was able to punish him.
The girl, instead, grabbed Feng Jun's phone away and ended the call before it was answered.
"What are you doing? We just want to make a deal with you; there is no need to call the police."
Their argument attracted much attention from other people in the store, and some even raised their phones.
A 13-year-old girl was the most excited one, and she jumped up in her seat to start shooting.
It was the time of social media, and no one wanted to miss out.
Wang Weimin didn't want to cause a sensation, especially on the Internet.
If only the police were involved, he could turn to his friend for help, but it would be difficult to deal with this problem after it went viral.
Feng Jun was a little disappointed when the girl stopped him from calling the police.
"I told you I don't want to sell it," said Feng Jun.
The girl didn't know what to say, but Wang Weimin argued, "You said nothing. You raised a finger, which meant a thousand yuan. I paid you five hundred yuan in the end, and you didn't oppose it. It should be very clear in the surveillance cameras."
"Don't play the fool with me." Feng Jun was annoyed. "I did that to tell you to put the stone down. If you believe a finger stands for a certain amount of money, why can't it be ten thousand yuan?"
After stopping for a second, he added, "I think I can report a robbery to the police."
Wang Weimin laughed. "Ten thousand yuan? Are you crazy or something?"
