Emma lounged effortlessly on her plush sofa, indulging in the delightful breakfast spread the kitchen
staff had meticulously prepared. Maxwell, on the other hand, was a picture of frustration, his phone
incessantly buzzing with calls that left him no room to breathe. Emma’s calm amidst his chaos was
almost comical.
Maxwell stormed up to Emma, his patience wearing thin. “Do you have any idea the kind of mess
you’ve stirred up? I’m drowning in calls, all thanks to your little ‘reveal‘ plan!” He sounded exasperated,

Emma glanced up, a hint of amusement in her eyes. “I didn’t realize you’d be this upset over a few
calls, brother. After all, wasn’t this part of the plan?”
Maxwell couldn’t believe her nonchalance. “A few calls? Emma, this isn’t just any mess. You’ve

frustration.
Emma’s expression softened. She understood his irritation but couldn’t help feeling a little
mischievous. “Well, if it’s causing you so much trouble, we can always cancel the upcoming birthday
banquet.”
Maxwell’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Cancel? Do you even understand how much preparation has
gone into this event? Our father and eldest brother would have my head! We can’t back out now.”
Emma nodded thoughtfully. “Fine, let’s continue as planned. I trust you’ll come up with a solution for the
media frenzy.”
Maxwell sighed, his expression a mix of annoyance and affection. “What am I going to do with you?”
He ruffled her hair affectionately, causing Emma to playfully bat his hand away.
Their banter was interrupted by Maxwell presenting Emma with a surprise – a massive gem he had
bought at an auction. He led her upstairs, and upon opening the box, Emma found a tiara glittering with

“It’s for your birthday banquet,” Maxwell said, beaming with pride. “It’s fitting forthe occasion and for

you help me put it on at the banquet?”
“Of course, I wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Maxwell replied, his eyes softening.
