the day, Inga burst into the room without a courtesy knock, breaking the morning’s calm.
“Knocking isn’t optional, Inga,” Emma chided, her voice laced with annoyance..
Inga slightly taken aback but trying to mask it, retorted, “It slipped my mind. It’s not a big deal, is it?
Anyway, here,” she said, tossing some documents onto Emma’s desk in a dismissive gesture. The
papers rebounded, scattering on the floor, adding to the tense silence that followed.

Their conversation was interrupted by Jackson, who entered to remind Emma of her lunch
appointment. Emma, gathering her belongings, noticed Inga preparing to tag along.

best interests are represented. I wouldn’t want our VP to get carried away by charm over substance.”
At the restaurant, the unexpected presence of Alex added another layer of complexity to the lunch.
