Chapter 530 David's Sin
Chapter 530 David's Sin
Lee Seng followed after the scrawny bone man, David. He was brooding after the constant teasing Lee Seng put on him. David walked like a man on a mission.
'Kill the enemies, save the girl.' Lee Seng thought. 'Who knew clichés were real?' He giggled to himself as David stomped forward. Enemies flooded out and David moved straight into pure murder machine mode. Lee Seng watched as the meat and bones teenager plow through the enemy without much effort.
Stragglers flew at Lee Seng as he kept his distance from them. Before he could even retaliate, the thieves became meat on a bone skewer. Lee Seng sighed, lowering his right hand as David stood like a main character. His sword arms at his side and his back to Lee Seng as his head looked at him.
"Main character energy." Lee Seng smiled. David rolled his eyes and maneuvered through the dead bodies and continued forward. Lee Seng followed after, easily moving through the dead bodies like he was jumping from rocks.
The fortress open halls eventually lead to a large field. Many thieves were ushering the last bits of creatures down the hole.
"Move it!" A thief barked. David gritted his teeth and dashed forward without thinking. Lee Seng sighed and darted right, turning invisible as he hopped between columns.
"Where is she?!?" David shouted. He bolted straight for the group as the head of the thieves smiled.
"Huh. The bait worked!" The leader smiled. "Take him alive! We'll torture him with the girl!" The thieves immediately moved into position. The fighters flew forward as the Glass took their spots in the back.
'Fighters, Tanks, Glass, and even a couple Observers.' Lee Seng observed. 'I'll have to take care of the Observers and Glass first then.'
"Argh!" David slammed the ground as huge spikes of bone flew out. The thieves dodged it with ease.
"Fire!" The leader shouted, popping open a bottle at his side. Water flew out of the bottle and at David. The Glass all fired their ranged attacks as the Tanks shielded their allies.
'A literal balanced team.' Lee Seng thought as he made his way behind the group. 'It's time to play!' Lee Seng slid to stop, his invisibility flickering. 'Let's see if he'll capture their attention enough for this to happen…'
David flew at the wall of Tanks, striking their walls of metal. The thieves laughed as Fighters flew out, revealing more ranged attacks. Water hit the scrawny teenager, forcing him backwards as bolts of lightning flew at him.
"Ahhh!" David screeched, landing on the ground.
"Charge it." The leader threw a ball of water above David. Lightning Glass users traced the lightning with their hands as they collected lightning energy.
'This is my cue!' Lee Seng lifted his hand. His invisibility turned off as the mask's smile grew to a grin.
"Gravitum: Cosmic Ray." Lee Seng whispered. Rays of cosmic energy flew out at the Glass and Observers. Observers turned to look behind, eyes widening as their screams alerted the others.
"Ambush!" The Observers shouted. It was too late for them. The Lightning Glass users were mid cast and the leader had to hold the ball of water.
"Shit!" The leader shouted.
"Swap!" An observer pointed at an Observer behind the leader and a Tank. The two switched as the Tank chanted a defensive spell.
"Dome of Metal!" The Tank shouted, slamming his fist into the ground. A dome of metal flew up, blocking Lee Seng from seeing anything.
"Can your senses keep up?" Lee Seng asked, darting forward. The Cosmic Rays exploded against the shield, rumbling the entire yard as the monsters all screeched. They rattled from their chains, trying to let go as the belt continued to pull them in. Lee Seng dismissed his sword and pointed at the conveyor belts with finger guns.
"Bang!" Cosmic Rays flew out, lighting the conveyor belts in smoke as he flew forward. He jumped, connecting his foot with the shield and rocketed himself up, crushing the metal with ease.
"What the fuck is happening?!?" The leader yelled.
"Shit! He's in the air!" An observer pointed.
"Well, do something about it!"
"Empower!" Observer 2 pointed at another Tank.
"Swap!" The Swap Observer pointed at the Tank who created the wall and another Tank. The two switched as Lightning fired off at the ball of water.
"Too late!" The leader shouted.
"Just in time." Lee Seng smiled. His sword flashed into existence as he pulled it out. His feet landed on an invisible platform of gravity, lowering himself on it in mid air. "Devouring Slash: Endless Banquet." Lee Seng rocketed off the gravity platform, flying straight between the orb of water and lightning. Lee Seng slashed downwards, forcing the gravity to pull him from his sword. He spun mid-air as gold and silver wisps flew out. The wisps engulfed the orb of water and lightning as Lee Seng continued to spin.
"What the fuck is happening?!?" A Lightning Glass asked. They watched as the gold and silver energy leapt off of their lightning current and onto them. In seconds, all of the Lightning Glasses were engulfed in the Endless Banquet. Lee Seng landed on the ground, head spinning as David rose.
"I didn't need your help." David growled.
"You're welcome!" Lee Seng replied with a smile as he shook off the dizziness. David jumped to his feet and rushed past Lee Seng, towards the Tanks and Fighters.
"Get him!" A Fighter shouted.
"Igniting Strike!"
"Lightning Strike!"
The Fighters' melee weapons ignited in Fire and Lightning, flying straight for David as his bone swords grew larger.
"Get outta my way!" David shouted. David shielded himself from the attacks, watching the Fighters' faces as it went from anger to fear in seconds. David smiled as his swords began to pull the elements out of his opponents' weapons. "Thanks for the boost. Have it back!"
David shoved the Fighters away from him, watching as fire and lightning exploded out of his swords. A bolt of lightning hit Lee Seng, sending him backwards as David continued his carnage. His right bone sword flew straight through one Thief, tearing the poor guy in half as the left sword flew through another. Tanks rushed straight for David, pulling metal and earth around as they tried to slow David.
"Wanna see my Sin?" David asked. These four words were charged with energy. Lee Seng threw himself up, watching as David's form began to bulge with bone. Bone spikes flew out of David's body, impaling everything around him. Lee Seng found himself using his Echoes to dodge the bones with Illusionary Step.
'Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!' Lee Seng screamed in his head. Monsters and thieves alike all immediately died under David's transformation. The bones exploded out into the night sky and Fortress. Lee Seng slammed his katana and sheathe together, creating a thick barrier as he slammed against the wall. Bone white was all around Lee Seng. He let out panicked breaths as the sounds of flesh squished.
The bones flew back into the middle, pulling away from Lee Seng. Lee Seng watched as the humanoid figure of a slightly buffer teenager stood in the middle of the chaos. Everything had been destroyed. Blood spilled from his all white form as bone horns grew out of his head. Sharp pieces of bone poked out of his back. It looked like David had donned Bone armor.
"What the hell?" Lee Seng whispered.
"Argh…" The leader's voice groaned as blood spilled from his body. David held him in his arms. He held the leader above the thief leader's companions. "L-Let… Me go…" Bone flew out of David's arm and impaled the man. He screeched in pain as David lowered the man to be below him. David made the thief leader kneel as he held him. His empty eyes stared at the man.
"Bear witness to my Sin." David's distorted voice spoke. He squeezed the man's neck, pulling him a bit closer. "Witness my majestic Sin!" David squeezed the man's neck and watched as he exploded in bone spikes.
'What the fuck?' Lee Seng flinched. He looked away, noticing out of the corner of his eye, the bones of the leader were entering David's body. David was adding to his collection. The bones of the dead all came to him. David sucked in a breath like he was filled with ecstasy.
When it was all over, David simply turned to look at Lee Seng. His eyes caught Lee Seng's attention. He had no color to his pupil. They were white. White like his sclera. Lee Seng's mouth was agape in complete shock as David let out a satisfied sigh.
"You could do this the whole time?" Lee Seng asked. The bone armored David didn't answer. He simply turned and stepped on the dead like it was no problem. Lee Seng hesitated. "Do I follow him? He could kill me…" He shook his head off and jogged after David. When he was close, he noticed the intricate design of David's armor. It was made out of all bone, but there were slight color variations.
"So, this is your Sin?" Lee Seng asked. "It makes you… stronger?"
