The two Lu’s had polar opposite personalities. Although Shangguan Ning had seen it many times, but she was still not quite used to the situation.
Every time she saw Lu, she would suspect that she had a twin sister. Otherwise, how could she possibly have such polar opposite personalities?
Lu in front of her right now was apparently in her normal state. She glared at Tang Yun and Shangguan Rouxue, caring about no one else.
No wonder Jing Yichen had allowed her to come with Zhao Anan – Lu was already here.
Zhao Anan had already become used to Lu’s angle face and demon personality. She didn’t find it weird. Instead, she admired Lu for her abilities.
“Sigh, Ning, I wish I could be as strong as Lu. I wouldn’t have to suffer much or be afraid of anyone in the fights in future. How unfair! This girl is prettier than me and better at martial arts than me. She is fiercer and stronger, and even has a worse temper. How unreasonable! Why does she have all the advantages?”
Although Shangguan Ning knew that Zhao Anan didn’t think like normal people, but most of the time her thoughts made sense. But right now her words made her speechless.
How were these advantages? Only Zhao Anan would think that being good at martial arts was an advantage.
Not only Shangguan Ning found Zhao Anan strange, even the expressionless Lu stared at her.
It had been the first time for someone to... speak highly of her.
The two patients lying in the sickbeds couldn’t lie still any more. They started to shout loudly.
They were lying on two tiny single beds, separately, with one crying out for help and the other cursing Zhao Anan and Shangguan Ning.
Zhao Anan came to the bedside leisurely and said authoritatively, “Shout as loudly as you want. Better let every single person at the hospital hear your scream. I want this hospital to be shut down and you are doing me a favor.”
“Zhao Anan, if you want to kill me, just do it quickly. What face do you have to torment us two weak women?”
Tang Yun cried so loudly that her voice had got hoarse. Apparently, she had been crying for a long time.
Shangguan Ning approached Tang Yun and saw the mess that these two were in.
Both of them were tied to their beds, unable to move even an inch.
Shangguan Rouxue was in a slightly better state. Although she looked pale and her hair was unkempt, but apart from the two visible palm-prints on the face, she had no other wounds. Yet her clothes were creased and full of blood stains, her feet and head were covered with gauze. She looked like a complete mess.
Zhao Anan didn’t know her well and had no history with her. She had no idea what she had ever done to Shangguan Ning. Hence, when she put on a pitiful face, Zhao Anan hadn’t tormented her much.
But Tang Yun was in a terrible state!
She had wounds all over her face and blood gushed out of her lips and nose. Her eyes were bloodshot and her wig was nowhere to be seen, showing her near bald scalp. It was impossible to tell if she was a boy or a girl.
She was someone who was not afraid of death and kept provoking Zhao Anan.
Hearing that she was still complaining, Zhao Anan pulled Shangguan Ning backwards and said in a reasonable tone, “Ms. Shangguan, better back off a bit in case you get a blood stain on you. I need to use the knife now.”
Hearing that she was going to use the knife, Shangguan Ning found it satisfactory rather than being guilty or worried.
Tang Yun was a mentally disturbed woman who would keep looking for trouble as long as she had the chance. If Shangguan Ning and Zhao Anan had fallen into her hands, they would be suffering much more right now than she was.
Zhao Anan walked towards Tang Yun’s side. She scooped out some rotten needles from her pockets and then stabbed them into some points on Tang Yun’s head with full strength.
Tang Yun screamed. Pain crept over her body and her teeth clattered. She seemed to be going through extremely strong pain.
Seeing that she almost passed out in pain, Zhao Anan pulled off the needle from the top of her head.
“Yeah, how is my medical skill? I used it for the first time today. It seems to work out well. No wonder Mu Qing likes using needles. What a nice weapon to deal with bad people!”
A long while later, Tang Yun said, “Didn’t you say knife? Those were needles, not a knife!”
She wanted to die because of the painful torment. She tried to make Zhao Anan stab herself so that she didn’t need to face the torment and humiliation any further.
Zhao Anan tossed the needles into her pocket and then said in an understanding tone, “Ah, so you prefer knives. No problem, I can make your wish come true!”
Tang Yun couldn’t stand it any more. A thought came to her and she screamed, “Why are you tormenting me only? Shangguan Rouxue is your real enemy. Her mother seduced Shangguan Ning’s father and forced her mother to die. She even stole her fiancée and now she is onto Brother Yichen. You should hit her, not me.”
Zhao Anan had never heard Shangguan Ning mentioning her past, let alone the problems she had with Shangguan Rouxue. Slightly startled, she turned to Shangguan Ning.
“Ning, is Tang Yun speaking the truth?”
They were separated by a couple of meters and Zhao Anan found Shangguan Ning wearing a weary expression. But her voice was clear and calm. “Yes, it is true. But I also forced Shangguan Rouxue’s mother to die and I almost forced my father to die too. But Shangguan Rouxue’s men were a step ahead of me and gunned down my father first. Now all those who should die, have died. There is only one person who is alive, one that is lying in front of us, half-dead.”
Only now did Zhao Anan understand how Shangguan Ning’s past had been like. No wonder she never mentioned her family.
She had put it forward in a very calm manner – forcing Shangguan Rouxue’s mother and her father to die. How many people could react this way? She would never have done anything terrible to them unless she was forced past a certain limit. That was what Shangguan Ning was like.
