Chapter 519: Stirred (Part One)

Soon, Jing Yiran learnt from Lu that the shares and the large numbers of properties which he had left behind, had already been taken away by Jing Yichen.

He felt that his heart was bleeding.

He had spent so much effort in collecting these properties and tried so hard to gain the shares of both Ji’s Enterprise and Jingsheng Enterprise, but Jing Yichen had taken them all for free.

He was extremely dissatisfied.

He had gained nothing in the end and even almost lost his life.

And now he could not even live with his real identity and was broke! He spent days in this expensive private hospital, and it was Lu who paid his bills.

He found himself incapable and distressed.

Lu had no other way of making money apart from killing. The money she earned was by risking her own life. Jing Yiran could not accept that money easily.

Also, Lu did not get work every single day, because she was one of the top 2 killers in the world and hiring her would need a large amount of money, which was not something most people could afford. Those who were able to afford her would need her to go on extremely dangerous missions.

Jing Yiran did not think of himself as a nice man, but he had no intention of letting Lu continue to remain as a killer.

He wanted to make money of his own to support Lu.

He wanted to get everything back from Jing Yichen.

It was a dark night and danger lurked in the air, making people feel anxious. Something caused Jing Yiran to wake up from his sleep.

He saw Lu standing topless, wrapping herself with bandages.

It was the second time for him to see her topless, but he did not feel any desire, instead agony spread through his heart.

He stood up and came to Lu. Taking the bandage from her, he said softly, “Let me.”

Lu got slightly startled, but then relaxed and allowed Jing Yiran to wrap her up.

She was wounded on her ribs, and had taken off her clothes to bandage it. She had not expected that Jing Yiran would wake up during this time.

Lu was used to both men and women’s naked bodies and didn’t think that her being topless was anything embarrassing. But when Jing Yiran was helping her dress the wound, he accidentally touched her skin and a couple of times, even her supple breasts.

A strange feeling swept inside innocent Lu’s heart.

She took a few deep breaths so as not to break Jing Yiran’s wrist.

Jing Yiran proficiently dressed the wound. Then he frowned and got a blanket to wrap her up. “Do you enjoy exposing yourself so much? Do you know that there is a man in this room? Don’t go stripping in front of men all the time. You are a girl and you should be embarrassed about being naked in front of me. Why aren’t you even blushing?”

“I was trained for six years in the camp and there was no difference between a man and a woman in that place. We often fought with each other with no clothes on and the one who blushed, died first. I was one of the ten survivors amongst thousands of the killers and I have long forgotten what difference gender makes.”

Lu sounded calm and looked serene, as if she were talking about someone else.

Jing Yiran got slightly startled. Soon he felt a touch of indescribable pain in his entire being.

He took Lu into his arms gently and smelled the candies on her body as he said with a low voice, “Where have you been? I told you not to take any more orders.”

“I didn’t take any order.”

As Lu was in Jing Yiran’s arms, she felt a bit comfortable. Subconsciously, she leaned against his strong chest.

She was wondering why she did not reject this hug.

Almost every killer hated to be touched by anyone, and none of them would be interested in indulging in such intimate behavior, because that could possibly lead to their death.

Lu, who had been trained for so many years and learnt so many lessons during the past years, didn’t like to stay close to anyone. Not every killer used guns, some killers were good at using drugs, and intimacy might cause death if one wasn’t careful.

Lu was good with guns, but she was quite skilled at drugging, as well. Sometimes guns were not allowed in some of her missions and that was when she chose to use drugs.

In the previous years, anyone who came close to her, would have caused her to kill that person. That was the conditional reflex after staying for six years in the killers’ training camp.

During the past two years, she spent a lot of time at the Jing Family, and had been living an ordinary life with no outside missions. That was how she gradually changed the habit.

But deep in her heart, she still had no desire of being touched. Despite that, now when she was touched, she felt warm and comforted and wouldn’t end up killing Jing Yiran.

She knew that Jing Yiran was not a good man and that she had been used by him, once. But somehow, she could not help but feel less defensive against him.

When Jing Yiran felt Lu leaning into him of her own accord, he could not help but get a stirring feeling inside his heart.

Maybe only this lethal yet innocent girl was willing to stay close to him without a specific reason.

“Then how did you get hurt if you were not on a mission?”

Lu’s wound was deep. Anyone who could hurt her would definitely have to be very skilled too. What other reasons could there be apart from a mission she took over?

“My old enemy was here. He had hired too many killers today and I couldn’t dodge them all.”

Jing Yiran frowned. “Your enemy?”

Lu nodded. “Yes.”

“Why didn’t your enemy come to cause you trouble before? Is it because you are in the USA?” Jing Yiran did not have a good feeling about it.

He sounded serious.

“They did not dare to cause me trouble before, because Jing Zhongxiu was backing me. I told you that I owe him and that is because of his protection.”

“More than his protection, actually. If a killer wants to leave the training camp, it wouldn’t be easy at all. I was free, because Jing Zhongxiu paid the compensation fees for me and made a promise on behalf of the Jing Family that I would not cause trouble for the camp. As for my enemies, he compensated them to reach a compromise with them that as long as I am part of the Jing Family, they would not come to my door. The enemies could do anything to me if I am no longer at A City or leave the Jing Family.”

“What?!” Jing Yiran got so shocked that he could not believe his ears.

How could that be possible? Why didn’t he know anything about it before?

He had never expected that when Lu left the Jing Family, the consequences would be so severe.

Was it for his sake, that Lu had given up her life as well?

Would she be hunted by her enemies till the end of her time?

He had made Lu an outlaw and they would always be on the run!
