Chapter 610: A Missed Chance

In the luxurious, fancy underground palace built by Tang Shunian, there was a sinister yet charming looking man sitting on the white leather sofa.

The man was dressed in a date colored suit. His dark green shirt and black shoes shone as he sat with his legs crossed. His narrow eyes reflected his calmness while he held a cup of red wine in his hand.

On the white marble table, there were numerous red wine bottles which had been opened.

These bottles of red wine had been a part of Tang Shunian’s collection during the past many years, but now they were gone.

The man in the red suit sat still as he saw Tang Shunian return to his place. He was sitting there as if it was his own home, showing no embarrassment of running into the owner.

His long fingers were holding the swiss crystal goblet. He raised his eyebrows at Tang Shunian, showing a charming smile. His lips carried the stain of the red wine. “Mr. Tang, why are you back again? Are you here to have a drink with me? Haha, Jing Zhongxiu’s men would be here very soon and your wine will be ruined, so I have to sacrifice my stomach to save you some.”

Tang Shunian felt furious. He felt that the top of his head was about to burst.

He bellowed loudly. “Jing Yiran! Aren’t you dead already? What are you doing here? Get the hell out of here, now!”

Tang Shunian was bellowing in fury, but he was inwardly confused about this man.

He was the only person who could open the door of the cellar, with his fingerprints.

What was more, this cellar was completely hidden and with no one as a guide, it was impossible to find the cellar.

Even Jing Zhongxiu had failed to find it, how did Jing Yiran make it to this place?!

Jing Yiran looked at Tang Shunian and said with a bright smile, “Oh, Mr. Tang, you know who I am? As far as I remember, it is our meeting, isn’t it? Could it be because of my brush with death that a good-looking mayor like you has slipped out of my ill-functioning brain?”

“Bah, I know everyone in the Jing Family!” Tang Shunian looked lethal. He was furious that his underground kingdom had been discovered by Jing Yiran so easily that he almost lost his mind.

“So you are not dead! Seems that you were playing with Jing Yichen. But it is okay, all three men of the Jing Family will die here today!”

Jing Yiran did not care about Tang Shunian’s threat. He was used to being threatened, because Jing Yichen had done that before many times. He died once and now had simply no reaction towards these kinds of threats.

He took another sip of the wine and leaned against the sofa. He stretched a finger to wave at Tang Shunian and smiled with a lazy look. “You are wrong. Me and Jing Yichen are the worst enemies in the world, and he does not deserve my collaboration.”

Jing Yiran said as he pointed at his own head and said indifferently, “There is a bullet inside my head that can kill me anytime. Are you willing to enter this kind of collaboration?”

As he spoke, another loud sound arose outside, making his red wine ripple. The bottles on the marble table banged against each other.

“Ah! Can’t these people throw a smaller bomb? Look at these bottles! They are ready to break. The sound is way too loud, my head aches.”

Tang Shunian did not believe what Jing Yiran was saying at the moment. He had learnt that the brothers were each other’s worst enemy and Jing Yichen had killed Jing Yiran.

But Jing Yiran was sitting in front of him and in such a relaxed manner. He was sure that Jing Yiran was here to help Jing Yichen, no matter how terrible the brothers’ relationship was and how far he had been from the Jing Family.

Trembling in anger, Tang Shunian was very pissed at his men. None of them had given him the right information. He had been feeling sorry for their death, but now, he wished that he had killed those stupid pigs with his own hands, instead!

“Jing Yiran, how did you get in?!”

Tang Shunian could ignore every other issue, but he must know the answer to this one, because it had to do with his efforts and confidence. If Jing Yiran was able to come in and out of the underground maze at his own will, then it meant that he was at the mercy of Jing Yiran.

“Oh, well, I can tell you about it, because you don’t have much time to live.”

Jing Yiran looked generous and tolerant as he said this in an annoying tone, “You are just someone with vast wealth, someone who knows how to dig holes like a rat. I may dislike Jing Yichen, but he is, I have to admit, the smartest man that I have ever seen! You truly are nothing compared to him.”

Tang Shunian widened his eyes in disbelief. “Jing Yichen? That’s impossible!”

“Of course it is possible. Do you think that your rat holes can trap him? How childish! Before he was caught here by you, he had already arranged his men to break through your rat hole. But you have been tricky enough to delay their speed, otherwise I could have come in and spoken with you ages ago. See, you have just missed a great opportunity to talk about life with me. Hell would not be treating you so nicely!”

Jing Yiran talked way too much. He was always interested in babbling while Lu was a silent person. He seemed to be very excited today to answer all of Tang Shunian’s questions.

“What is your place made of? Solid like a tortoise’s back, water-proof and fire-proof, bullet-proof. I would not have been able to enter if I had not taken Jing Yichen’s code breaker two days ago!”
