Shangguan Ning felt better after hearing Jing Yichen’s words. She also hoped that their marriage had not been an impulsive decision.
Choosing to divorce was only an extreme solution. She didn’t intend to go ahead with it, unless Jing Yichen was in love with someone else.
From the day she met Jing Yichen, her life had never been what it was. The way he pampered her and gave in to her whims and fancies, made her feel so important. Her life had been so messy before him. There had always been so much coldness and fraud that she had become so greedy as to keep the warmth.
He had come into it and tended to her with so much love and care. His dominating nature coupled with the way he loved her, made for a heady concoction. Just when she was beginning to have feelings for him, life had thrown a challenge at her.
For the first time she began to doubt if he felt all this, only for her.
There was another mysterious woman, who still played an important role in his life, even after ten years of separation.
The confusion in her eyes was so obvious, that it was impossible for Jing Yichen to ignore it.
He was a bit annoyed – she was still sceptical and hesitant, even after he had reassured her so many times. He had had enough.
He suddenly stripped off her clothes with so much passion that her shirt buttons came undone and fell to the floor.
Shangguan Ning covered herself and asked him angrily, “What are you doing? Can’t we just talk normally?”
The lilac lingerie that covered hugged her figure, drove him wild. She tried in vain to cover her breasts, and in the process only ended up giving them a push upwards, so they looked even more attractive.
Jing Yichen was turned on and breathed heavily. He held her waist and explained slowly, as he tried hard to control his arousal. “Silly girl, why are you jealous of her?”
“I met her before I married you. If I had indeed fallen for her, I would have married her instead. I’d bring her back from wherever she was, even if she were in Mars. I brought her back because I owed her something, which is too complicated to explain to you now. I’ll tell you about it when the time is right, I promise.”
“But now, my love, we have more pressing tasks to take care of.” He said as he stretched out to remove her lingerie, stripping her upper body to complete nudity, exposing her exquisite shoulders and plump breasts.
Shangguan Ning was embarrassed. She flushed completely and stammered. “I... I believe you! But please let me put on some clothes first! We can’t have a serious conversation with you doing all this to me...”
Jing Yichen smiled. He loved to see her all helpless and worked up.
He finally understood what her drawback was – she wouldn’t give in to him, until she was stripped naked!
He felt her perfect body with his roving hands and pinched her breasts gently.
Shangguan Ning kicked and protested, but that didn’t work. She even bit his shoulder, when things got out of hand.
Jing Yichen didn’t say anything in return but didn’t stop also for even for a moment. His hands went to places that she was too shy to even think of.
Shangguan Ning bit her lip in anxiety and desperation. Just then, his cell phone started to ring.
Saved by the bell – thought Shangguan Ning. Jing Yichen had wanted to ignore the call, but Shangguan Ning kept urging him to not. “Your phone is ringing. Answer it please.”
He was extremely annoyed at being interrupted in the middle of this steamy afternoon. He pulled out the cell phone from his pocket and was about to switch it off when the name Jing Zhongxiu flashed on his screen.
In an instant, his demeanour changed. “I’ll come over”– he said, without his father having to say a word.
He hung up impolitely. Then he planted a kiss on Shangguan Ning’s red lips and said, “I will let you go today. I need to see my father so that I can be reprimanded. Looks like Jing Yiran has had a word with father.”
Shangguan Ning was thankful that he was going away now. She didn’t care what he was going to do, as long as there was some distance between them.
Hands covering her breasts, she allowed him to kiss her without protesting anymore, fearing that he would come for her again, if she showed him how helpless she really was.
At this moment, Jing Yichen really wanted to carry her to the bed, strip her naked, and take her a few times, but that would have to wait.
He had to deal with Jing Yiran and teach him a lesson he would never forget, so that he dare not try and harm Shagguan Ning ever again.
Nothing was more important than her safety.
He got dressed and Tiger drove him to the Family Jing residence.
The Family Jing villa was located halfway up a mountain, in the outskirts of the city. It ran across thousands of square meters. It was nothing less than a palace – magnificent and strictly guarded.
Although Jing Yichen had barely ever been here, yet the staff of the villa had ensured that they had paved the way for his car.
The moment he entered the house, he heard a woman weep and complain.
“How can Elder Master be so harsh? He broke Jing Yiran’s nose, and Yiran has had four stitches on his head. I know that Jing Yichen is your son, but Yiran is your son, too. I have never objected to you favouring him, but one day he will beat Yiran to death, if you don’t say something to him now.”
The family butler spotted Jing Yichen first. He exclaimed with joy. “Lord! Elder Master is back!”
Jing Zhongxiu’s gaze turned to look at Jing Yichen. His face showed no expression. He said softly, “Come in.” It would be hard to imagine that Jing Zhongxiu was the same person who spoke with Shangguan Ning , with so much love and tenderness.
Seated on the sofa, he looked like an older replica of Jing Yichen. Their expressions, their mannerisms, even their reactions were eerily similar.
Jing Yiran, on the contrary, was the exact opposite of Jing Zhongxiu. Yiran was renowned for his frivolous behaviour and took after his mother, Zhang Rong, when it came to his looks. Right now though, he looked more like a dumpling because of all his injuries.
However, Zhang Rong was charismatic and was very gentle in her demeanour. Jing Yiran lacked that trait.
Tears trickled down Zhang Rong’s face as she was holding her son in arms. Her tone was no longer gentle, like it usually was. It was obvious that she was very upset.
Jing Yiran, though, was oblivious to his mother’s agony. He continued to lie down on the sofa and stare at Jing Yichen, mockingly.
Jing Yichen went up to Yiran and punched him. He didn’t care that Yiran was already wounded. Zhang Rong watched all this in disbelief. The wound on Yiran’s head that had just been stitched, cracked open and blood gushed out, staining the gauze wrapped around it.
Jing Zhongxiu had never expected that Jing Yichen would have the courage to punch Jing Yiran, in his presence. He ordered furiously, “Stop it!”
He loved both his sons. He couldn’t help thinking back to the time when Zhang Rong told him that she was with child. Jing Yiran had been an accident. Though he was unruly and uncouth, he was still his son.
Zhang Rong was right. He did favour Jing Yichen more. It could be because Jing Yichen lost his mother when he was little, and also because he reminded him of himself when he was younger.
He had high expectations out of Jing Yichen, and he was sure that his son would achieve them, but that did not mean that he would allow his older son to bully his younger brother in this way.
