Chapter 10 Dangers Of The Syringe Graveyard
Chapter 10 Dangers Of The Syringe Graveyard
Erian knew this wasn't his true emotions but lingering emotions from the real Erian's soul.
'Don't worry, no matter how great she is, we will surpass her. It's only a matter of time.' Erian assured with a confident expression.
No longer in the mood to pick any more syringes, he left the dumpsite with the three hundred plus syringes he had gathered and headed to his home. It was getting dark anyway and the dumpsite would be locked in 20 minutes.
"Gang leader, this is his house. The bastard lives here."
Erian frowned as he recognised Blake's voice. 'Hmph! Looks like I didn't beat him enough if he still has the energy to come here.'
BAM!
The door to his room was smashed open.
Erian was angered, about to enter the gate when he heard another voice saying indifferently. "Where is he?"
Erian was instantly alarmed! Fu Tian! What was he doing here? Immediately he retreated backwards.
Blake said, "Huh? He should be here. Where could he possibly run to?"
The indifferent person said, "Blake, did the boy really defeat you with the strength of level three?"
Second in command Blake said, "Brother Fu, it's true! That guy seemed to have used some sort of serum beforehand. His strength has increased by more than two times and he seems to possess endless energy, striking me several dozens of times but did not even need to catch his breath."
The guy called Fu Tian remarked after a brief silence, "Interesting. Order someone to watch the place. This guy must have a treasure with him or another high-grade defective serum on him. It's up to you whether or not we can obtain it."
Erian's heart became heavy. He shouldn't have been so gentle. The bastard did not learn his lesson at all.
Erian knew better than to come out and fight the people above his level even if his strength had increased drastically. The man named Fu Tian was at least a level-eight or even level nine, or Blake wouldn't have been so obedient.
Black Blake, you're good, I'll remember you now.
Holding back his rage. They did not know that although he had reduced to level three due to the swap in technique but his strength was already above ordinary level five individuals or more people would've come to watch his place. It was unbelievable that a Level-three had defeated a level-six expert who could faintly use nuclear power.
Erian gritted his teeth and turned back, heading to the dump site. His place wasn't safe and the only place he was more familiar with was the dump site. Since he heard about Leah, his mood had dropped and he didn't have much will to practice. But Blake and Fu Tian had gone too far now, ignoring the fire once more in his mind.
Underneath the clear dark sky, a purple polluted swamp emits a heavy stench. Numerous mountain peaks of metal shards protrude from within and around the swamp like the spine of a dinosaur. Fragments of needles lay scattered chaotically on the floor. Sitting next to the mountain was a rusted metal blade; it's dulled edge seem to glitter with the erosion of polluted radiation within the environment. The only thing left was a metal-seeking bug, which poked out of the edge of the blade, cautiously looking around in the "Syringe Graveyard" where danger lurks on all corners.
"Squash."
Close by within another mountain of trash, a large rat the size of a ten-year-old kid rattled around an array of rusted metals. It suddenly stumbled, making the peak of heaps of used syringes tilted until half the mountain fell.
Countless metal parts scattered in the sky like a maiden scattering flowers, spattering in all directions. The surrounding mountains were triggered into chain reactions. Looking up, all that could be seen was smoke and dust. It gave the image of a dance of demons that covered the entire sky.
Here, it appeared that life was forbidden. Only insignificant cockroaches and worms could consider this a paradise.
However...
Erian dormantly lurked behind a mountain of trash. Licking his cracked lips, he wore a dirt yellow windbreaker covered in dust that made him blend with the environment.
He shot a glance at the slowly rising mushroom cloud far away. In his clear youthful eyes, no trace of emotion could be seen, no feelings rippled out.
Only when the dirt and metal shards spattered upon his refuge mountain of trash did he retreat somewhat deeper into the trash heap, hiding himself from plain sight.
At the same time, he gazed at a bug the size of a palm a few meters away from him and a row of information appeared within his line of sight.
[Name: Young Metal-Seeking Bug]
[Level two]
[Quality: Regular]
[nuclear Energy: 75 points]
[Effect: It can increase one's health if it's well prepared and cooked over a long period of time.]
[Extractable: Hardened Shells, sharp legs which could be used as a weapon.]
[Too weak to form Extractable DNA particles]
[Absorbable]
Slightly amazed he could absorb nuclear energy from the body of beasts, Erian didn't move to prove his theory. Instead, he chose to wait until he couldn't hear any more terrifying sounds.
Roughly twenty minutes later, Erian eyed a Metal-seeking bug from where he was hiding. A horrifying sound of metals being crushed into fragments sounded out from the bug's position.
Expression cold, Erian feet tapped slightly on the ground and his figure moved. He was so fast he had arrived before the bug in a few seconds.
Before the bug could react, a heavy metallic box slammed against it, flattening it to the ground.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The bug could only release sharp squeaking sounds with its carapace and sharp legs deforming at awkward angles. With a few jerks, the bug eventually died.
Touching the body of the bug, Erian could feel a warm current of energy flowing into his body. He didn't even need to check his status before knowing he had absorbed the energy within the bug's body.
