Chapter 6 49 Ancient Paths Of Physique Tempering (Rare Tier, High-Grade)
Chapter 6 49 Ancient Paths Of Physique Tempering (Rare Tier, High-Grade)
With that thought, Erian's body was suddenly enshrouded with a layer of light mist that seem to contain massive amount of energy. He immediately felt his bones numb and then a needling pain. At the same time, Erian felt his body start to excrete black, slimy substances, oozing out of his pores and filling the entire room with a gross smell.
After a while, he felt his body mass becoming denser and his joints even tighter. His bones seem to become a little stiff but more powerful. He could feel his tendons and his marrow being cleansed.
About half an hour later, the sweat and black oily substance oozing out of his body came to a stop. At this time, Erian looked at his own data.
[Name: Erian Falstone]
[Level: Three]
[Nuclear Energy: 1367/25]
[Strength: 1.9]
[Agility: 2.0]
[Vitality: 1.9]
[Nuclear Pulse Talent: Two star(Low-grade)<Upgradable>(10000)]
[Main Art: Rudimentary Cell Rejuvenating Technique (Repairable)<1000>]
[Status: Blood haemorrhaging at the back of the head, skin tear.]
Erian was stunned to see his capacity for Nuclear energy had increased by 20 points. While he was unable to use the atomic energy in his body at this point, the increase in his capacity for energy would definitely be of great help in the future.
Erian clenched his fist tightly, he could feel his strength had increased with the upgrading of his talent. Although he didn't quite see the connection, he was glad all his attribute had increased by 1 point each, now he wasn't a weak nobody anymore.
But then he frowned once he noticed his talent didn't get upgraded by one whole level, but with just a grade instead and the points needed to upgrade his Pulse Talent had increased by ten times!
Erian smiled bitterly. If he wanted to reach 5-star which was the level of a genius, then he would require massive amounts of experience points. It seems no matter how much nuclear energy he absorbs, it would still be far from enough.
"Baby steps." Erian reminded himself. Gazing at the energy point remaining, he still had enough to repair his main technique.
[Name: Rudimental Cell Rejuvenating Technique(Incomplete)]
[Level: Three]
Note: This generic ancient Technique containing seven levels is incomplete after the passage of time. Repairing it will cost 1,000 points of Nuclear energy.]
'Repair technique.'
As he thought of it, his eyes blurred for a moment and the entire technique received a great change.
[Name: 49 Ancient Paths Of Physique Tempering (Rare Tier, High grade)]
[Level: 1]
[Note: This body tempering art can fortify and harden the bones, muscles and skin and also faintly absorb Nuclear energy from the surrounding.]
[Superseding Arts: Eternal Body Optimization Art!]
Progress: 0/5000
"Ssss…"
Erian gasped that it required 5000 points of nuclear energy to further upgrade the book.
However, he was delighted. This technique was a lot better than his previous ones.
He did not know that there were so many critical muscles in the body. If he could fortify them, he would definitely be sturdier than most people. At the very least, he wouldn't worry about being oppressed any longer.
However, when he saw that he had only 367 points of energy left, Erian felt awful. Upgrading a random technique had cost him a thousand points of nuclear energy. What could he do if he had more techniques in the future?
Erian shook the idea out of his head. He was in desperate need of strengthening his body, and the level of the previous technique was too low to help assist him with that.
Erian studied the 49 Ancient Paths of Body Tempering which contained exactly 49 movements, each movement containing 49 different stances, each more difficult than the latter.
He immediately stood straight in a weird posture. His face changed after the first movement as he felt that his muscles tightened and stretched.
Unlike before, his movements were very smooth and not at all filled with flaws. He performed the first movement flawlessly. He could guess it was because of his increased talent the stances were easy this time.
The first Movement... The second movement! Eventually, Erian's body trembled and his muscles taunted to the extreme, but Erian persevered and he felt like he could go on. Sweat glistened down his body like a river. His legs placed in an awkward posture with his body slanted, almost parallel to the ground. Erian muscles spammed as though he was having a seizure as he continued to stretch until he performed the last stance of the third movement and then boom.
When he completed the grid movements, it was as though something within him snapped. Erian's body became extremely free, but his muscles cramped, and he fell to the ground in pain.
Damn it. My whole body is spasming. What kind of Physique tempering technique is this?
Erian meant to pass out, but his brain was highly active as though he was in tonic. It was not until fifteen minutes later that the spasm was finally over.
Hooo…
Erian breathed heavily on the ground. This technique was too terrifying, it was even more difficult than the previous one! The stances were weird and he had to twist his body in different difficult positions.
When Erian checked his system to look at his status, he was dumbfounded.
[Name: Erian Falstone]
[Level: Two]
[Nuclear Energy: 402/30]
[Strength: 3.9]
[Agility: 4.0]
[Vitality: 3.9]
[Nuclear Pulse Talent: Two star(Low-grade)<Upgradable>(10000)]
[Main Technique: 49 Ancient Paths Of Physique Tempering (Rare Tier, High grade)]
[Progress: 0/5000]
Erian was speechless for a long time. Just reaching the level two of the technique had increased his strength two times and his energy capacity by 5 points! At this level, he was already comparable to some level Five experts.
Even though he was still at level two, his technique had made increased his physique that he could now rival ordinary level five individuals.
Checking the time, he realised the deadline to submit his work was getting closer and he doesn't have much time left, Erian's quickly got to work.
Using the Litholic fluid, he carefully sterilised the syringes and after cleaning them, he packed them and gently arranged them within a large box.
The large box contained more than a thousand finger-sized holes in then which were obviously meant for the syringes. After filling the holes, Erian placed it behind him like a backpack.
Normally, the previous Erian would have been struggling to carry the backpack, almost falling in the process but with Erian's current strength, he was even able to stand erect without leaning forwards even with the 30kg backpack on his back.
The radiant sun was starting to set and most scavengers were already returning from the administrative building from submitting their task
"Uhn? Isn't that the level two good good for nothing scavenger? What's he doing here?"
Someone suddenly said pointing at a young man walking straight towards the administrative building.
"You are right. I thought he was already dead seeing as Fu Tian's group dealt with him yesterday." Another said in slight surprise.
"I heard that it was because he was chasing after Rusty Lake high-school beauty 'Leah' which immediately angered Fu Tian, making him beat him to a pulp. What a pity." A different person shook his head in pity, causing the crowds to shake their head.
"What's there to pity? Leah is the high-school beauty and is said to be a genius with a least 3-star low-grade nuclear pulse. Someone like Erian can't possibly hope to be with someone like her. A toad lusting over a swine. Tut tut tut!" Another clicked her tongue as she sneered.
Ignoring the mocking gaze and sounds from the crowd, Erian walked into the building and submitted his task.
The female behind the counter appears slightly surprised seeing him but it disappeared in the blink of an eye. Grabbing the box from him, she lifted the entire box with one arm and placed it on a scale. Erian's pupils constricted.
The box weighs at least thirty kilograms but this young lady who looked about his age grabbed it with one hand, how could he not be surprised!?
With the strength she just displayed, she must have reached the sixth level of the Rudimentary Cell Rejuvenating Technique. With such strength, she was definitely not a nobody.
"Sign here and here." The lady brought out a book and a pen and pointed at two lines. Her gaze shifted towards him from time to time.
Calming down his nerves, Erian signed his name and grabbed an empty box from the pile which close to the door. It wasn't until he started to leave he took notice of her gaze lingering on him.
Erian's eyebrows raised slightly. He had no idea why she was looking at him that way but from his experience, it wasn't anything good. There might be the possibility that she was crushing on him though.
Placing the thoughts to the back of his mind, Erian quickly exited the building, he had only taken ten steps away from the administrative building when three figures stood arrogantly in his tracks.
