Chapter 74 Blood Thirsty Symbiosis, Starting Orientation
Chapter 74 Blood Thirsty Symbiosis, Starting Orientation
Erian had never tasted such a sumptuous meal in his entire life! He had no idea what the meat was made of or how the meal was prepared, but he couldn't care less! The food was just too tempting and he finished them all, leaving the array of synthetic plates sparkling clean.
Gulping down another bottle of sweetened water, Erian burped and sighed in relaxation. The treatment was great, almost treating him like an honoured guest. This made him wonder how building-1 would be treated, like royalty. Thinking of this slightly dampened Erian's mood. He didn't feel comfortable that others were being treated even better than he was being. But it didn't matter, it was only a matter of time before he retrieves what was meant to be his.
"Splash!"
Erian's face darkened and he turned to the side to see what the commotion was all about. With a glass tube, like a transparent fish tank, a whitish jelly like substance flowed formlessly about within the waters of the fish tank. At first, it seemed like a grey ball of yarn but then, its form began to constantly change when suddenly it wrapped around a leaf at the bottom of the tank, the leaf started to shrink rapidly until it was all absorbed ns there was nothing left.
Erian's face was ugly at this point. "Didn't I just feed you an hour ago?"
It had only been ten hours since he received the symbiosis organism. In the first five hours, Erian had been excited, constantly feeding the organism with his blood but now, it was getting annoying as it was constantly requesting a drop of blood every hour now instead of the supposed 24 hours.
Could it have been flawed? This was the conclusion Erian came to otherwise, why was it asking for his blood every bloody hour?
"Fine! Drink the blood you want!" Grumpily, Erian injected himself with a 20cm empty syringe, clicking the little button by the corner, the plunger rose and his blood was gradually sucked into the syringe.
This was supposed to feed the symbiosis for a while month but Erian reckon it wouldn't last two days. But it should be enough for him to receive his lecture and come back before it starved.
He then dropped the entire syringe into the fish tank. Immediately, the jelly like substance floated towards the syringe, wrapping around the needle where the blood gradually flowed out from. Its skin was starting to change from colourless to grey and was gradually starting to turn red. This made Erian shake his head. Usually, it should have stayed grey, why was it now turning red. Was it actually turning blood thirsty?
Erian was beginning to think its behaviour was actually getting dangerous as it was getting to attack to blood. Just when he wanted to think too deeply about it, his holo-watch rung.
"Sh=t, I'm almost late." Erian quickly cleaned himself up, giving one last quizzical look at the jellylike substance, he turned around to leave. Not knowing that at this moment, one-tenth of the blood in the syringe was almost gone!

The entire ground of War-god academy couldn't be seen as the school is so large it would take several months to circle around it. Which is why there are public transports within the university. Now, this public transport is divided into various levels. The ordinary, First class and Imperial class.
Erian didn't dare enter anyone of them as he is currently pennyless. He had spent all his blood points on the symbiosis reactor, making him broke. Which was why he left two hours to the start of the actual lecture. His holo-watch had calculated it would require him an hour and thirty minutes to arrive at his destination.
Erian wasn't the only one with this thought as about twenty other students also exited their dorm with the same plan in mind. While the ordinary students had received 1000 blood points for passing the entrance exam, some of them were not willing to spend it on the public transport.
Erian has seen about half of the students and seem to recognise the. but the one that stood out to him was this particular young man; Reinhard Fitzner.
He was one of the few individuals to have also quickly found a strategy to survive the entrance examination. Erian wasn't too clear about the informatiin but it had to do with covering him body in his fellow students' blood and guts or something like that.
Not feeling like speaking to his fellow teammate, Erian picked up the pace and started to leave. The journey was a long one as there were several places new students weren't allowed to intrude therefore, he has to circle round the region to get across.
Even with the gloomy sky and the cold morning , the academy was still as warm as ever. It could be due to the radiation perhaps or due to the 10,000 meters tall volcanic mountain towering over at the side of the academy.
Using the map, Erian finally got to his destination after about an hour and fourty minutes. And to no one surprise, the hall was already filled with students. They most likely took the public transport.
The lecture hall was warm and the air cozy. But stir was strangely stifled with tension in the air. It was apparent the cruelty of the academy was still fresh in the students mind but even then, they were still teenagers. They began whispering to each other about rumours, legends and theories.
"Isn't this ridiculous? We are new students, but we only get one free lecture for half a month! If he want to attend anymore lecture, then we have to pay blood points to attend lectures. In other academies, the student receives multiple lectures everyday, why is this academy so different?"
"Did you know the Nine Grand academy named our academy as demonic and refuses to acknowledge us?"
"I heard its because of the 'One Who Shall Not Be Named' originated from this academy." Another student responded.
"You must be joking, right? The one with power extremely close to the Founding Titan, came from War-god Academy? "
