Chapter 861 Chapter 861 The Run

Three weeks later and the rest of the games happened without a hitch. With our avid gamer in the play, the Los Pecados Wolverines was in for an extremely happy ride.

"And there you got it ladies and gentlemen! Sean Evans has completed the death march!

He has made the impossible possible and has carried the Los Pecados Wolverines on to the playoffs! Another one hundred points game plus for him and he has yet to miss on his shots!

This is an absolutely unbelievable performance for his eleventh straight game!"

Announcer Ray has become a believer over time and with him, there were probably millions of fans already worldwide.

"There are talks around that perhaps one of your negative aspect as a player is that you don't seem to like to pass the ball to your teammates, Sean.

In fact, there has never been a record so far that indicated that you have filled in that stat yet. What are your opinions on the matter?"

A reporter asked in a post game interview in the eleventh win streak.

"I guess I'm not much of a passer at all. Since my teammates pass me the ball, i believe that they trust in me to convert that chance into a score.

And besides, i don't hear any complaints from them at all. They must be satisfied with what I'm doing in the court else i would have to hear them whine firsthand."

Our bored gamer shrugged afterwards. Although he could sense this very problem from his team but they were never brave enough to voice out this concern.

They were all smart guys and were well aware of where the wind was blowing in the times. They would definitely not alienate or wish to have any argument from a rising superstar in their midst.

Else they would get their asses outright traded in the aftermath. Perhaps the greatest factor on this also was the relationship between Clark and Luis Bell Jackson.

The two were tight as twins already.

"We're fucked big time, Pearson. I can see no fix to deal with that Sean fucking Evans." A coach lamented to his second in command.

He had studied the game of our bored gamer and could find no loopholes in his play. He was a wizard beyond the 3 point line and could steal the ball at will.

His nickname as the Mr. Perfect on the floor was truly well deserved.

"Same here, coach. What little i could notice was how Sean focuses on the opposing team's players. This was very much obvious in his first game but not very much in the later ones.

Please take a closer look at this video, coach." The assistant coach said and pushed a button using his tv remote.

The blank screen flashed alive and they could see the serious look on our bored gamer's face thereafter. This video recording happened in the first game against the Legendary Minutemen.

"You can see how much attention Sean Evans was giving unto the opposing players at this time. Watch the next proceeding 10 games from that point forward."

The assistant coach pushed another button from the remote and the blank screen on the side opened to display. In that wall, the remaining 10 games appeared one after another.

The camera mainly focused on what Sean Evans was doing and it was fairly easy to determine what it was from any angle.

"He's toying with his phone?" The coach asked in surprise.

"To be more accurate, Sean Evans was playing a game called Alpha Resurrection Extreme. I had some of my guys spy on him closer and this was true at least in the 9 games since he'd started.

I think he's addicted to mmorpg games. And that's all we could dig on him.

The kid has no lover or close friends whatsoever aside from his team since he had signed up with the Los Pecados Wolverines." The assistant coach shook his head.

He knew that the information was too little too dumb to be taken advantage of.

"So you're saying that we're basically fucked, Pearson." The coach concluded the talk.

"I guess i am." The assistant coach nodded. Silence reigned between them for a precious second or two before the coach once again lead the conversation.

"The only positive thing that i can think of is that we're not alone in this rocky ship. All the other playoff teams must be reeling with the addition of this new superstar.

A superstar that does not miss his shots. It's like he's playing with a cheat code on him. All we can do is pray that he gets injured before their team gets to play against us."

The coach took a deep breath and did exactly what he said. He offered a silent prayer to the basketball gods above.

Another week passed and it was the start of the first round of the playoffs. The Los Pecados Wolverines was facing against the Red Commanders.

"Show us another 100 point game, Sean!"

"Make it 200 this time around!"

"I know you can easily do it!"

.

..

...

The crowd was ecstatic to see our very own protagonist.

One could see how much impact he had done to the sport in such a short time since this was the Red Commanders' home court in the first place.

People were even willing to travel from afar just to lend their support on him on the seats.

"..." In reply, Clark merely smiled and waved to his fans. Words needed not be said since everyone knew that our good gamer got their message loud and clear.

And he had proven it well in the first minutes of the game.

"WHOOSH!" The ball flawlessly went through the ring in no time.

"A ducking 3 point shot from the logo! And he made it seem so easy! How can any team stop this monster of a player?!" The announcers on the court reported what they saw.

They did not want to admit it but if this continued, they were well aware that this championship run was as good as over.
