Chapter 63 Reconsideration
Following to Li Qinglan’s advice, Chen Qian came to Mo’s Mansion which she was so familiar with.
She wanted to know why Li Yunhong alienated from her suddenly.
Chen Qian adjusted her collar and walked to Mo’s Mansion with a reluctant smile.
“Ha-ha. Little Xiangyan, look at this. Do you like it?”
Chen Qian heard Li Yunhong’s laughter when she was about to knock on the door.
“Grand...grandma, ha-ha” Li Yunhong was amused by the childish voice. Chen Qian could feel the harmonious and happy atmosphere inside.
Who was Xiangyan?
Chen Qian frowned, “Why is there a child inside?”
She rang the doorbell with puzzlement.
Li Ling, the nanny, opened the door quickly and saw a strange woman who was a little familiar standing there.
“Hello, who are you looking for?” Li Ling asked politely.
Chen Qian glanced at her from head to toe and thought, “Mo’s family changed the nanny again.”
She ignored Li Ling and was about to walk in directly.
Li Ling looked at Chen Qian, a well-dressed woman in famous brands. Chen Qian’s face was covered by a scarf, so Li Ling couldn’t see her expression clearly, but she could feel that Chen Qian despised her.
“Hey, wait a minute. Who are you?” Li Ling stopped Chen Qian.
Hearing the talking at the doorway, Li Yunhong also stopped playing with Xiangyan and came over.
However, she saw Chen Qian after a few steps.
“You...” Li Yunhong showed an embarrassed look because she didn’t answer Chen Qian’s phone on purpose in recent days, which must be perceived by Chen Qian.
“Oh?” Seeing a stranger, Xiangyan peeped out his head curiously.
Looking at Li Yunhong who showed an embarrassed look and the child in front of her, Chen Qian was puzzled.
“Ahem, aunt, I haven’t seen you for a few days. I miss you so much that I come to see you.”
After all, Chen Qian was a smart woman who eased Li Yunhong’s disquiet easily.
“Well, I was a little busy recently and had no time to call you back. I’m sorry. Come in.” Li Yunhong said and invited Chen Qian into the house.
“These nourishments are for you. You should take care of yourself.” Chen Qian showed those nourishments to Li Yunhong, but her eyes were fixed on the child all the time.
Seeing that Li Yunhong was friendly to Chen Qian, Li Ling didn’t complain temporarily and turned to the kitchen to prepare tea.
Li Yunhong and Chen Qian sat on the sofa. Li Yunhong knew what Chen Qian wanted to ask and coughed slightly to catch her attention.
“The child...” Chen Qian said hesitantly.
“Now that you come here today, I will tell you.” Li Yunhong took a deep breath and looked at Chen Qian seriously.
Hearing Li Yunhong’s words, Chen Qian felt more uneasy. It seemed that the child’s origin was unusual. “Is it the reason that Li Yunhong didn’t answer my phone?” Chen Qian thought.
“The child...is Yichen’s son.”
“What? Mo Yichen’s son?” Chen Qian was shocked.
She couldn’t believe it and tried to confirm whether it was true.
“Au...aunt, are you kidding?”
This news seemed like a thunderbolt to Chen Qian and it was long before she calmed down. “I haven’t seen Mo Yichen for only a few days. Why does he suddenly have a child?” Chen Qian thought.
Li Yunhong had expected Chen Qian’s reaction and didn’t know how to explain it to her. After all, she was still very satisfied with Chen Qian who was the most suitable daughter-in-law in her heart in both family status and personality.
“Li Ling, take the child into the room.” Li Yunhong knew that she couldn’t conceal this matter since she was also shocked when she knew that Mo Yichen had a child.
Xiangyan was naïve and began to yell when he saw no one played with him.
Chen Qian felt more annoyed by his yell and showed an unhappy expression.
Hearing Li Yunhong’s command, Li Ling took Xiangyan upstairs quickly.
There were only Li Yunhong and Chen Qian in the living room and the hot coffee on the table was steaming. What a peaceful picture! However, Chen Qian was restless.
“Qianqian, what I said was true. I also didn’t know that until two days ago. I didn’t know how to tell you. After all, it wasn’t an honorable thing, so I was too embarrassed to answer your phone.”
Although Li Yunhong stated it mildly and guiltily, Chen Qian didn’t believe.
“Aunt, I want to confirm again. Is he really Mo Yichen’s child? But...” Chen Qian was a little confused and didn’t know how to ask, “But Yichen never has relationship with any woman, hasn’t he? Don’t you feel strange for he suddenly having a child?”
Chen Qian was more and more excited and showed a stiff expression.
“Qianqian, don’t be excited. Let me tell you slowly.
“Aunt, how can I be calm? You...” Chen Qian felt wronged and said with tears in her eyes.
“I have been waiting so long to get a good result. But now, you want me to retreat with the excuse of the child, which was an insult to me.” Chen Qian thought.
“You know. I went to see Yichen to talk about your marriage before and I talked with him for many times, but he evaded this issue all the time. You are the best daughter-in-law in my heart.” Li Yunhong said.
She tried her best to make Chen Qian feel better.
“I told him that I wanted to be a grandma earlier because I was older. But what I didn’t expect was that he told me that he already had a child and then he took the child here the next day.”
“Is it possible that he borrowed a child from others?”
Chen Qian asked with a piece of hope.
“He is really Yichen’s son because I have investigated secretly. And his mother...has already passed away.” Li Yunhong glanced at Chen Qian from time to time to observe her reaction.
Chen Qian sat there and kept silent for a long time.
“Qianqian, I know you can’t accept it for a time. I can understand you, but I hope you can reconsider the marriage between you and Yichen. What do you think?” Li Yunhong persuaded.
The living room was so quiet that they could even hear the breath of each other.
