Building a Business Empire with my Technological System

Chapter 191: A Great Reception

Chapter 191: A Great Reception

With the purchase of the private plane done, Michael spent the rest of his day traveling around London, taking pictures of himself with his mother and business partners in iconic spots throughout the city. They visited the London Eye, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace.

Michael posted it on his Facebook page, which already garnered hundreds of likes and shares from the netizens.

The following day, Michael, his mother, and his team made their way to Heathrow Airport, where they would board a commercial flight back to Manila. Though he was eager to return home, the thought of having his own private jet soon was even more exciting. As they waited in the terminal, a group of journalists gathered nearby, cameras and microphones in hand, hoping for a word with Michael.

Juliet leaned in and whispered, "Looks like you're the center of attention. Ready for a quick interview?"

Michael glanced at the journalists, who were watching him with keen interest. "I suppose so. Let's see what they want to know."

He walked over to them, his mother following close behind, while Bridget, Antoneitte, and Juliet stayed back, observing the scene.

One of the journalists stepped forward, microphone extended. "Mr. Reyes, can we have a few words? As a prodigious inventor who has invented medicines and technologies that are so revolutionary to the point they can change the world for the better, when will it become available to the British citizens who are in need of your miracles, especially the Medipod that cures cancer?"

"I'd say at the soonest time possible. We're working on expanding our reach and making these technologies accessible to everyone, not just in Britain but worldwide," Michael replied, keeping his tone positive. "It's our goal to ensure that everyone who needs these treatments has access to them."

Another journalist asked, "With your rapid expansion and the popularity of your innovations, what's your plan to handle the expected demand and keep up with production?"

"We're scaling our production facilities and investing in new technology to meet the demand," Michael explained. "It's a big challenge, but we're committed to finding solutions. Our goal is to make sure that no one is left behind when it comes to accessing life-changing treatments."

The questions continued, with journalists asking about his upcoming projects, his team's support, and his views on the future of healthcare. Michael maintained a confident demeanor, addressing each question thoughtfully and emphasizing his company's commitment to innovation and social impact.

As the interview wrapped up, a journalist asked, "Would there be a chance of you returning back to London?"

"To be honest, I haven't enjoyed my time here in London given the time constraints and hectic schedule," Michael admitted. "But now that my business has international goals, I plan to return for a more relaxed visit. I'd like to explore more of what London has to offer. So yes, you can expect me to be back."

The journalists seemed satisfied with his answer, offering their thanks as they wrapped up their interviews. Michael returned to his team, who were waiting near the boarding gate.

Bridget nodded. "Good job handling those questions. Ready to head back to Manila?"

"Yeah," Michael replied. "I'm looking forward to getting things settled and preparing for the Dreamliner's arrival. And, of course, getting back to work."

Then as if on cue, the intercom sounded. "Flight number 2321 to Manila, now boarding at Gate 7. Please have your boarding passes ready and proceed to the gate."

Michael and his team gathered their belongings, preparing to board the flight. Bridget handed him his boarding pass, and Juliet checked to ensure everyone had everything they needed. The trip back to Manila would take some time, but Michael knew it would be worth it once he was back in his element.

Thirteen hours later, the plane landed in Manila, bringing Michael and his team back to their home base. As they exited the plane and walked through the terminal, Michael didn't expect the welcome reception. His classmates, the university, big media companies, fans, and supporters were there, holding signs and cheering as he walked through the terminal.

Michael was taken aback by the turnout, not expecting such a large crowd to welcome him home. The university had banners with his name, and the media companies had camera crews set up, capturing the moment. It was as if he were a celebrity returning from an international tour.

"What theā€¦" Michael gasped.

"Michael! Please notice me!" shouted a fan, holding a sign that read, "We love you, Michael!"

"Mr. Reyes!" called out a reporter, microphone in hand, hoping to get a statement.

Michael looked around, a bit overwhelmed by the attention. Bridget and Juliet stayed close, keeping an eye on the crowd. Antoinette and his mother walked alongside him, trying to navigate through the sea of people. The security team had their work cut out for them, creating a clear path for Michael to exit the terminal.

"Did you expect this?" Bridget asked, raising her voice to be heard over the noise.

"Not at all," Michael replied, his eyes scanning the crowd. "I knew people would be interested, but this is insane."

The media was persistent, trying to get Michael's attention. A local news anchor managed to get close enough to ask a question. "Mr. Reyes, how does it feel to be welcomed home like this? Any words for your fans and supporters?"

"It feels amazing," Michael said, trying to project his voice over the crowd. "I didn't expect this kind of welcome, but I'm grateful for the support. It's great to be back in Manila."

"Can we see your Nobel Prize medal?" one of the reporters asked, sounding hopeful.

Michael chuckled and shook his head. "Unfortunately, I don't carry it with me everywhere. But I'll be happy to show it off another time."

The crowd's excitement grew as they snapped pictures and recorded videos of Michael. The security team kept everyone at a safe distance, but it was clear that many were eager for a personal interaction.

"What's next for you, Mr. Reyes?" another journalist shouted.

"More innovation, more work, and more success," Michael replied, flashing a confident smile. "We're just getting started."

Carter gestured to Michael that it was time to move along, and he nodded in response. The security team guided him through the terminal, towards a waiting car outside. Despite the overwhelming attention, Michael took a few moments to wave and acknowledge his supporters, showing appreciation for their enthusiasm.

As the team got into the car and drove away from the airport, Michael looked back at the crowd, still in awe of the reception.

Bridget sighed, looking relieved as they left the chaos behind.

"That was intense. You might need extra security next time."

Michael laughed.

"I might need it. But it's good to be back. Now, let's focus on what's ahead."
