Chapter 313: Cherishing This Happy Moments

Chapter 313: Cherishing This Happy Moments

Satisfied with what he had witnessed, Michael left the Virtual Room and found himself again in the bathroom. Not a second had passed, and he got out. There, he found Bridget still peacefully sleeping on the bed.

Today, there was an activity that they'd like to try, such as the banana boat where they'd ride an inflatable boat pulled by a speedboat. It promised to be fun and thrilling, just the kind of distraction Michael needed after his intense experiment.

He gently shook Bridget awake. "Good morning, sleepyhead," he said with a soft smile.

Bridget stirred and opened her eyes, smiling back at him. "Good morning, Michael. What time is it?"

"Early enough for us to have breakfast with the others," Michael answered.

Bridget stretched and sat up. She yawned and rubbed her eyes. "Breakfast sounds good. I'm starving."

They got dressed quickly and headed to the resort's dining area, where Juliet, Antoinette, and Catherine were already seated, chatting animatedly over their plates of food. They waved as Michael and Bridget approached.

"Good morning!" Juliet greeted them with a cheerful smile. "We were wondering when you two would join us."

"Morning," Michael replied, taking a seat. "You guys are early as usual."

"Well in the business, you don't have the luxury of sleeping late," Antoinette said in a composed manner, as if she were imparting sage wisdom.

Michael chuckled. "I guess some habits are hard to break, even on vacation."

They enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, the conversation light and filled with laughter as they discussed the plans for the day.

"So banana boat, and what was the other activity that we scheduled for today?"

"The parasailing and the UFO," Catherine replied nonchalantly. "And there is also a speedboat."

"Ahh…thank you for reminding me, Catherine," Michael said with a smile.

"You don't have to thank me for it," Catherine shrugged, taking a sip of her juice.

"Oh guys, may I have your attention," Michael called out excitedly.

Everyone turned their attention to him, curious about what he had to say. Bridget squeezed his hand, encouraging him to continue.

"There's something I'd like to share with all of you," Michael began, taking a deep breath. "Bridget and I have decided to make our relationship official. We're a couple now."

There was a moment of stunned silence before their friends erupted into cheers and applause. Juliet was the first to hug them both, followed by Antoinette and Catherine.

"Finally!" Juliet exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. "I thought it was going to be another rejection."

"Oh don't say that," Michael chuckled.

"Wait…you have been rejected by Bridget at first?" Antoinette exclaimed softly while Catherine remained unfazed as if she didn't care about the whole ordeal.

"Yeah, let's not bring up past mishaps," Bridget interjected with a playful roll of her eyes. "What's important is that we're together now."

"Exactly," Michael agreed, smiling at her. "Now you can always expect that we might go out often."

"Well congratulations to you both," Antoneitte said with a genuine smile. "It's great to see you both so happy."

"Thanks, Mrs. Estolas," Bridget replied with a tone of gratitude.

Catherine, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. "I'm happy for you both. It's about time," she said with a nod, her tone sincere despite her earlier nonchalance.

"Alright, enough about us," Michael said, trying to shift the focus back to the day's plans. "Let's get ready for some fun!"

They finished their breakfast and made their way to the beach, where the activities awaited. The excitement was palpable as they geared up for the banana boat ride. They laughed and screamed as the speedboat pulled them across the waves, the inflatable banana boat bouncing and skidding over the water.

Then the speedboat made a sharp turn to the right, sending the banana boat and its passengers flying into the water with a big splash. Michael and Bridget surfaced, laughing and gasping for air, while Juliet and Antoinette came up sputtering and grinning.

"That was insane!" Bridget exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"I know, right?" Michael replied, wiping water from his face. "Let's do it again!"

They climbed back onto the banana boat, ready for another round of thrills. The speedboat took off, and soon they were bouncing over the waves once more, everyone holding on tight and enjoying the ride.

After a few more exhilarating turns, they decided to move on to parasailing. Michael and Bridget were harnessed together, and as the boat picked up speed, they were lifted into the air. The view from above was breathtaking, with the crystal-clear waters of Boracay stretching out below them.

"This is incredible!" Bridget shouted over the wind.

"It really is," Michael agreed, and then his expression suddenly fell flat as he realized something. The looming war between the United States and China reminded him that this moments were fleeting and precious. He had to cherish every second.

For now, Michael pushed those thoughts aside, focusing on the present and the joy on Bridget's face. They soared high above the ocean, feeling the thrill of the wind rushing past them and the breathtaking view stretching out beneath their feet.

Once they landed back on the boat, the group decided to try the UFO ride next. The circular inflatable device was designed to spin and bounce over the water, providing a wild and fun experience. Michael, Bridget, Juliet, Antoinette, and Catherine clung to the handles, laughing and screaming as the ride spun them around.

After all the excitement, they returned to the beach, tired but exhilarated. They decided to head back to the resort to freshen up before dinner. And there, they planned more activities.

Michael simply joined in on the conversation, listening to everyone's suggestions and plans. They planned on scuba diving, island hopping , and exploring the local markets the next day.

"I mean we should try whatever activities Boracay has to offer," Michael simply suggested and continued. "We have five days right?"

"Five days to make the most of everything this place has to offer," Antoneitte replied.

While Michael was having a chat with them, his phone vibrated. He picked up the phone and checked who messaged him. It was an email. He curiously tapped it and perused the contents.

It was an email from the White House United States, inviting him for a meeting with the POTUS. Wait…they are taking action now?
