Chapter 205 – Cat Dad’s Tranquil Moment before the Big Day

After emptying 50 food stalls, Xiaomao’s inventory was full. He shared some of the processed food with his subordinates and the mermen. Then, he turned his attention to the bronze gates, searching for the doors with the MUNYA guild’s insignia.

They walked around for 10 minutes before they came across the bronze gate with a sign. It was a sun with a cat face. The sun’s ray was replaced with tentacles, and the theme color was white, just like Xiaomao’s primary fur color.

Lucky looked at the cute insignia and laughed, “Master, is that our guild’s emblem?”

“That’s right, munya. Isn’t that magnificent and glorious?”

“I-Indeed.”

Xiaomao laughed and approached the bronze gates. As soon as Xiaomao got close, they were automatically opened.

The crew entered the door and found their guild’s lobby area. From a rough estimation, Xiaomao guessed that the lobby area alone was at least 500 square meters.

Attached to the lobby were 10 facilities – A fitness area, a yoga area, a boxing gym, a fencing dojo, a spa, a public bathhouse, a residential area, a water park zone, a fast food chain restaurant, and a game room.

BANG

The bronze gates shut behind them. A large blue screen appeared and informed Xiaomao and the guild members.

<The gates will be locked at 10 PM, and they will be opened at 6 AM tomorrow. Please enjoy your stay for the night. If you need food and drinks, you can purchase them with your PACT.>

The crew ignored the notification as they already had stocked enough food. They explored the facilities next.

“BOB!”

“BOB-BOB!”

“BO-BO-BO-BO-BOB!!”

The mermen cheered when they saw the swimming pool zone, which came with various sliders. Without Xiaomao’s words, they raced to the water park.

Xiaomao shook his head. He went straight to the bathhouse as he wanted to clean his cat’s body and his human body.

Seeing that Xiaomao was walking toward the bathhouse, Lucky followed after him with a wide grin.

“Let’s take a bath together, master!”

“…”

Xiaomao shrugged as he was no longer a virgin anymore. He went in together with Lucky.

Meanwhile, Shepherd and his apostles explored the lobby area. Seeing that the mermen and their master had gone to enjoy themselves, they looked at each other and smirked.

The boys smacked their chests and snickered. Then, they huddled together and played a rock-paper-scissor game.

John came out victorious in two tries. He dabbed and twerked while the boys waved their hands in front of their necks, disapproving of John’s victory poses.

John clicked his tongue and pointed at the fitness room. The boys nodded and brought out their gold coins and PACT tokens, which they had gotten from Xiaomao as their allowance.

John sneered at them and taunted the boys to follow him there. The crew cracked their knuckles, accepting the challenge. Then, they gambled their money while trying to outdo each other in weightlifting.

Two hours later, Xiaomao in his human form walked out from the public bathhouse with Lucky in his arm. Their faces were slightly red, and Xiaomao’s legs were still shaky because of the soreness.

“I might not have enough stamina for tomorrow, Lucky.”

The dog girl clung to Xiaomao’s arm. She leaned her head on his shoulder and wagged her tail, “But doing it in a hot spring is fun!”

“Next time, you’re on top. I’m exhausted.”

“He-he, sure, master.”

While the couple headed toward the residential area, they found the boys, who had finished working out in the fitness facility. Their muscle swelled, but everybody seemed exhausted.

Xiaomao facepalmed. He could guess what they did when he was in the public bath.

“You dense cabbages. Who asked you to work out the day before the Guild War? I know you ain’t weight lifters. Tomorrow, your muscle will be so sore that you can’t possibly move. Haiz.”

Xiaomao shook his head. He then forcefully fed the men meat to replenish their protein. When they were full, Xiaomao ordered them to get a good massage in the spa and get some rest.

As for the mermen, Xiaomao gave them cooked fish steak that he bought from the stalls earlier and left the men alone. He and Lucky went to the resting quarter and found themselves a bedroom to sleep in for the night.

5 AM of the next day

Because of the unfamiliarity and the tension, Xiaomao woke up early. He cleaned himself and switched his character into the catopus.

Xiaomao didn’t forget to consume 100 spirit stones and used the daily stats-gain skills. Then, he reviewed his skills and spells, planning for the first guild war fight.

Learned Skills (5/10): Chameleon, One Man Thousand Arrows, Flying Sword, Lock-On Mark, Homing Snipe

Learned Spells (8/10): Holy Light, Lightning Storm, Shaman Fireball, Blessing Totem: Monster Domestication, Rabid Poison, Lightning Nova, Ice Lance, Let It Go, Blade Hurricane

Looking at the available skill and spell slots, Xiaomao felt like he should use some of his spellbooks and skill books in his inventory.

Fortunately, the event world was generous. The residential area came with a chest, which could be used as a medium to access the player’s warehouse inventory.

Xiaomao opened the chest next to his bed, and two system windows appeared. The first one showed the warehouse inventory menu while the other displayed the dungeon treasure room’s menu.

‘How convenient.’

Xiaomao searched for the skill books and the spellbooks that he hadn’t used or sold yet. Then, he picked something that could be useful in Guild Wars.

DING

<You have learned a new spell – Teleportation!>

<You have learned a new skill – Flammenwerfer!>

<You have learned a new skill – Sonic!>

Teleportation was something that Xiaomao eventually had to learn, so he used one of the spellbooks right away. Flammenwerfer was a skill that convert any weapon into a flame thrower and deal magic damage instead of physical damage. As for Sonic, it was a movement speed buff.

With the preparation done, Xiaomao closed his eyes and meditated, emptying his mind and waiting for the time to go out.

At 6 AM, the bronze gates were unlocked. Xiaomao opened his eyes and adjusted his sight to the blue vision.

“HUA…”

Xiaomao yawned. The meditation somewhat backfired as it made him sleepy. However, his mind was clear and serene, ready for whatever might come today.

Lucky and the others also woke up. They finished their private businesses in the residential bathrooms and gathered in the lobby area, ready for the big day.

Xiaomao looked at Lucky, “I’m going to explore the fountain park first. I’ll be back in a few minutes.”

“Okay. Be safe!”

Xiaomao approached the bronze gates, and they were automatically opened. He exited the guild’s lobby.

Upon returning to the fountain park, Xiaomao found the same food stalls and the same NPCs. These people yawned and rubbed their eyes as if they hadn’t slept a wink for the entire night.

Aside from these NPCs, Xiaomao saw many groups of players in the park. Many had already entered their guild lobbies, but some loitered around here.

“Hey, Xiaomao!”

Getting called, Xiaomao frowned. He glanced at his skill menu and found that his Chameleon skill was active. However, someone still recognized him.

While Xiaomao was puzzled, a message flashed before him.

[Cathulhu Instinct]: Stealth skills doesn’t work in this domain. Everybody can see your name. But don’t worry. Nobody can attack you here since it’s a safe zone.

Xiaomao raised his eyebrows. He slightly nodded at the message window as if he thanked the instinct message. Then, he turned to the player.

Upon looking at the caller, Xiaomao was surprised. He saw someone he knew, but he had a purple name.

[Shu Han] Liu Bei, Level 250
