Chapter 190: Harmony

A sword is an extension of the limb. A weapon that's sole purpose is to reap the lives of the enemy who tries to take something away from you.

A sword is the embodiment of the soul, it was the reflection of one's dao and the truth behind every swing a PR actioner strives to perfect.

A sword must have the ability to encompass the comprehension of its user, never being ahead nor falling back in terms of its ability to draw out every bit of essence in a single sword swing.

These philosophies are the embodiments of the Natal Sword. The sole weapon any Martial Practitioner needs. It was their partner, their limb, and even life.

It could be forged in any way the cultivator willed it to be forged. It could be forged in any material, but the presence of intense heat must be present in order to melt and create the weapon you wish to forge.

In some random mountain range, where a pile of mangled flesh and severed heads were gathered to make a small mountain a burst of black and white flames surged up and created a tower of flames.

A youth wearing white had two stones in front of him. One was the Devil's Curse and the other was the Everchanging Holy Stone. Two opposite ores were present, two opposite flames were there, and a unifying presence of a hybrid was there to control all of these variables.

He had come in this nameless mountain two days ago, he and Bai Xue had cleaned up the area and Wang Ling was already starting to forge his Natal Weapon.

Wang Ling had his flames lift the two ores up in the air. Using the Heavenly Flames for the Devil's Curse and the Hell Flames for the Everchanging Holy Stone.

Wang Ling used his flames and engulfed the two ores, the conflicting attribute of the Flames created a chaotic reaction from the two opposite forces, Wang Ling activated his two bloodlines and have them strengthen him and his flames.

Sweat began to form as he began perspiring. Four wings and two halos, Wang Ling was beginning to go all out at the very beginning of the forge.

The process of melting the two ores will be truly tough, and with the opposing forces acting upon the melting process anyone will find it hard, impossible even to smelt these ores into becoming weapons.

But with the activation of his bloodlines, Wang Ling's flames raged and the intensity heightened. As he was closed to trees, a spark of his flames made these trees catch fire. Black and white flames erupted and spread.

Soon enough, from trees catching fire, the flames spread and the whole mountain started burning. And with Black and White Flames burning the entire mountain, Wang Ling made use of the increasing temperature to further increase the intensity of his flames.

The entire had been set ablaze and acted as a furnace for Wang Ling's forge. The temperature continued to increase, but Wang Ling remained unfazed as he concentrated into melting the ores down.

Three hours passed and the temperature around him soared at a terrifying rate, the skies started turning red and Wang Ling's body was continuously absorbing qi that could endanger the lives of other cultivators by having their meridians suddenly burn.

But Wang Ling's meridians were sturdy and such little amount of flames were not enough to take his life. He was perspiring, but every time sweat appeared, it would turn to steam and quickly disappear.

Wang Ling's torturous method of forging the swords continued. He was doing all this work because his cultivation strength was not suitable for this particular endeavor. He could have found a volcano, but the earthen element present would cause the ores to be tainted with other elements and he did not like that.

The two ores must be forged in two distinct flames and must be bathed in their opposite element. Yin must exist in Yang and Yang must exist in Yin. Only in such a way will he be able to truly use the full strength of his current state of being.

Wang Ling continued this process and as the two ores began to turn soft and malleable he immediately made use of his supreme spirit qi to wrap and protect them from the flames.

"It is time!" He said and brought out hundreds of thousands of swords he had collected from different sects and different people. He had not counted them, but they roughly numbered at 300,000.

The sharp sounds of sword qi permeated the air but as they came out and formed a mountain, Wang Ling initiated a bloodline ignition towards his Holy Lord bloodline and heightened his use of the element.

Exquisitely controlling the flames coming out of his body and the ones surrounding him, Wang Ling used the Heavenly Flames to engulf all the swords he had taken out.

The swords created a large ball pool of flames and inside this pool of white flames, Wang Ling started purifying and refining each and every sword to plush every impurity all of them had.

This continued for another minute or so, and as the night was about to come, Wang Ling made use of his Hell Flames and dyed the ball of black flames that was barely controllable even for him.

But he had black flames dye the white ball of flames and as he did, the sun set and night descended. The black flames blended into the night but as it did, the flames that surrounding the burning mountain began to gather.

The flames around the mountain gather and created an amalgamation of flames, Wang Ling was feeling tired and as the Hell Flames were too strong for him to properly control, he ignited his True Devil bloodline.

He roared aloud and as a minute passed, Wang Ling made the flames instantly disperse and disappear into nothingness. Only a ball of liquid the size of a small hill that was slowly coming down from above remained of the swords.

Wang Ling who had been keeping the melted Everchanging Holy Stone and Devil's Curse suddenly made his move and threw the two important ores into the pool of melted swords.

The pool of melted swords hummed as sword qi emerged from it, but as Wang Ling threw the two things inside the pool, the ball-shaped pool began to tremble.

Spreading his arms wide open, Wang Ling began compressing the pool. And as it compressed to be as small as a three-meter radius ball, Wang Ling brought out two swords one long, one short.

He threw the swords inside and then had them become the mold the swords must take as they form. With the best of his abilities, Wang Ling began merging the hundreds of thousands of swords he had melted into two separate weapons and as he slowly did so, the Everchanging Holy Stone began manifesting one of its two strong capabilities.

The size of the pool of sword began changing forms and it slowly started becoming smaller and smaller.

Separating the function of his mind, he split the two balls into two different parts. Two perfect halves were now present both having two distinct qualities.

With a burst of qi, Wang Ling started finalizing the form of the swords. And with a loud shout, Wang Ling forcibly formed two swords. One short, one long, as it appeared, Wang Ling touched the burning handles of the sword. His skin began to burn, but as he touched these two swords and burned his hands, his blood slowly began to seep in them.

Soon, the sword was encased with his blood, and as it was encased, Wang Ling fell to his knees.

His bloodline ignition disappeared and as it did, he began feeling weaker by the minute, but he did not lose consciousness as he waited for the swords to 'come to life'. And as minutes passed and cracks began to form in the casing of blood.

Two distinct howls were heard from the swords he was holding. And with a burst of black and white light, two swords were birthed.

Underneath the lighting of a blue moon, A sword that had light within its darkness and a short sword with the darkness within its light was born.
