Chapter 401: Kill Wang Ling
In the far east of the Azure Blade Region, there is a city known for its hot springs. And in that town, there's a famous drinking place where the people who crossed the nearby valley frequents.
"Where are you going? To the Northern Valleys, I reckon?" a beautiful young waitress with blue hair said as she placed the platter of meat dish the young man ordered.
"Huh? No, no, I have some matter in this city and the other places so I will not be leaving any time soon. But just to clarify, is there something happening at the Northern Valleys?" the young man questioned.
"An Abyssal Outbreak and the Wang Family's [Silk River Sword] was sent there to help out. I think anyone who wields the sword is interested in learning from someone like him. After all, one of the Wang Family's Three Ancestral Weapons is the sword." The young lady explained.
"Oh, is that so." The young man in white smiled with a playful tone, "Is that so, someone from the Wang Family is coming, huh. That is a shame. I would have loved to witness the skills, but I fear that is not going to happen. Besides, I would have no use for them at the moment, anyway." He laughed as he ate the meat, he had delivered to him.
"Hooh, are you saying the Wang Family's sword techniques are nothing to you?"
"No, I just do not have the need for an enlightenment at the moment." He casually answered.
The young waitress's name was Alidia and she had interacted with a lot of people in this business before. This young man before her was one of the few that emanated the aura of an actual master.
His pure white robes and the sword hanging by his waist that radiated a dangerous hum was enough to give him the air. Add to that his elegance that steals the gaze of many, the young man could be nothing short of a Master.
Alidia grew curious about the boy's identity, "So, where are you from?"
"I am not of this world, but I did just come from the City of Aile."
"Oh, so you are an outworlder, are you a traveler of worlds perhaps? How many worlds have you reached?" Alidia asked, curious about what the young man does.
"Well, in a way you can say that I am. But, at the moment I am planning to stay on this world, well, at least until the world settles down." The young man gave vague answers, making him look even more of a mystery to Alidia.
The young man finished his food and stood up, he looked at Alidia and smiled, "Thank you for the food and the small talk, but I do think that you should be getting back to work." The young man pointed at the other waitresses and the owner looking at her with quite an angered expression.
"AH! I'm sorry!" Alidia quickly apologized as she ran to serve the other customers. But before doing so, the young man asked her for some tea to be delivered to the room he's renting for the night.
"I understand, dear customer." She said with a teasing smile.
The young man responded with a smile before retreated to his room to cultivate his spirit energy. But before he could enter his room, he felt eyes piercing his back, he smiled at them, and then, he proceeded to climb the stairs.
The men who were staring at the young man's back looked at each other. Both of them wore a black cloak and they had masked covering their faces, one of which was blue and the other was yellow. Many people were eyeing them for obvious reasons, they were a part of the Heaven Hell Sword Tower.
Although anyone could wear a mask, the distinct mark of the protective formation on their masks was not something anyone could copy. Well even if one could copy it, they will surely not dare to flash it outside so boldly like this.
No one wishes to challenge the Heaven Hell Sword Tower, after all. The two masked men followed the young man's figure with their eyes until he disappeared to the second floor, and then, they looked at the sketch they had hidden in their rings.
Many who had been observing them saw what they had just done. Their mouths agape at the sight of the Storage Ring of Legends. This just solidified the people's respect for them.
One of the cloaked masked men looked at the portrait drawn on the paper and smiled, "We found him, Yun. After all this time we finally found the bastard." His voice was soft almost childish to a point.
Yun, the one with the blue mask nodded, "We can't be sure but if he truly is the man, we are searching for them, he's bound to be strong. He killed someone from the Heaven Hell Sword Tower, he can't be normal this man dares to act upon atrocities bearing his name? I can't forgive him for such an act."
The one with the yellow masked stole the poster from Yun and smiled underneath his mask, "You really idolize the great ancestor, huh."
"How can you not? The ancestor is a man worthy of respect. Sword Ancestor Wang Ling was the greatest sword master of across time and even the Sword God claims his skills are beyond logic. It was said that the ancestor was the first to fight the Emperor of Death upon his revival, sacrificing his life in an attempt to save the Universe!" Yun's passionate words reached the ears of the people and despite the others not knowing him, they could not help but raise their cups in agreement.
The man with the yellow masked looked at the poster before him and just thought to himself, [Then this young man who calls himself Wang Ling who is he?]
The face on the paper he was holding was none other than Wang Ling's face.
