Chapter 412: Masked Swordsman I

Chapter 412: Masked Swordsman I

Back of the Crimson Snow Sect.

Qi settled like a still lake, Wang Ling's body trembled and his focus pierced the heaven. His sword qi was running wild, his intent becoming even sharper with every breath.

He stood on a stone in a raging river, in front of him was a waterfall and in his hand was an ordinary sword. A couple of hundred meters away from him was his direct disciples, all watching him with great intention, especially Leo whose attention could not be taken away.

Wang Ling raised that very sword, he released the breath he kept within, and as he did so, he whispered, "Twilight Sword: World Asunder." A very slow, downward motion. A path that's as direct as his path leading to the path, a reflection of his ruthless mindset.

Slash!

The sword in his hand crumbled to fine dust, the water below him became still, the waterfall then split in two, and soon the mountain also got split in half. Wang Ling finally settled his body down, he looked at his students whose mouths all opened, "Okay, I just demonstrated you one of the new techniques I created last night, any thoughts?"

"Your arms are bleeding, master and I can see a few bones sticking out," Leo commented.

"That's only a scratch, it will heal itself in a day or two." Wang Ling said as he pushed the back in its place and then stopped the bleeding. The bones would heal a little later, but it should do, "As I was asking, what do you think of this technique?

"Compress the Weapon Intent and then mix in with a silent flow of qi to support its integrity once it is let out. The power is subtle but sharp and without enough qi cleaving a mountain is not an impossibility even if you are in the Qi Refinement Realm."

The children couldn't really give him constructive criticism but as Wang Ling posed them the question still. One after the other they tried seeing through it, providing their own view of his technique.

"The technique is sharp and powerful, but I fear if that the Sword Qi is too strong for the Master to handle and can instead harm the user if used," Rea stated.

"The technique is too refined for its own good. Master can use it because you are someone whose techniques have been tempered for thousands of years but others would not be able to use the train on it. Also, if the Master is up against someone whose skills match yours, then using this technique would be close to an impossibility because it takes too long. Even if used in an actual fight it will be too risky." Leo added.

One after the other the children explained what they thought of Wang Ling's technique. When they did say something Wang Ling would smile, but when they just copy the other, he would frown.

He wanted to hear their own way of the view of the technique, he didn't want them to draw the same conclusion as he wanted them to their own opinions.

Everyone stated their answer, even Hela wrote on a paper to inform Wang Ling of her thoughts. It was quite cute watching her.

Wang Ling smiled at the five, "You all give compelling thoughts, I am impressed you would be able to see through so much despite your ages. I think all of you really do have a talent for cultivation, I didn't choose wrong, I suppose." He praised and they blushed and thanked him.

Wang Ling clapped his hands at the sight of this, "Then because you five are so good go and gain enlightenment from the sword mark I left."

"What? But Master"

"Wait, before you say anything I think it is best to inform you that what I engraved in the Mountain is a sword mark but it is still possible to comprehend my experience in it. Second of all, my technique incorporates all the foundation of sword techniques, it is well balanced despite its sole purpose to kill, it is flexible and rigid, sharp yet dull, overpowering yet mellow, it is everything. Lastly, you're my disciples, right?"

The five disciples trembled from fright and quickly found themselves located around the waterfall and secured their places. They secured their area, sat down crossed-legged, and didn't mind the gushing Waterfall.

Wang Ling watched them and kept to himself.

[Will this hide my Blood Seeking Sword quite nicely? Well, none of them mention it has the property of overwhelming savagery or a lake of blood so I guess this would do fine for this tiny, tiny world.]

That was his question all along. These five people were one of the few who had seen his techniques. Though technically, Hela and Vika hadn't seen it before, Wang Ling did not mind letting them see, after all, they were already previous slaves, they might feel even more out of the loop if the others knew and they didn't.

Their potential might be squandered because of his inability because of petty reasons. Use the past as a lesson, not copy them, or so Wang Ling wanted to believe he was doing a good job. As for what he's doing creating new techniques while having the already refined Blood Seeking Sword, it was so that he'd be able to hide from the world.

He was known as Wang Wudi, thus he must have new techniques to match the said person. He could always use other techniques from the past, but that would result in him stagnating and becoming weaker.

Thus, he created a sword technique that's a close second to the Blood Seeking Sword.

He's still also still searching for enlightenment; thus, he's trying his best to improve his best in his own way.

From this little event, Wang Ling would gain himself a lot of time to create more and more techniques. He created about seven or so more variations of the technique.

After finishing the technique, he began incorporating its movement to his left hand to further mask his identity.

The Twilight Sword would later be one of his Great Creations.

In a blink of an eye, a month passed.

Like always Wang Ling was quietly cultivating yin energy under the moon, he was busily minding his own business when he felt someone sneaking out of his abode.

Considering Alin (that guy from the Heaven Hell Sword Tower) had yet to leave the Sect, he could very well be this person cussing a ruckus but there were five people this time around.

Wang Ling sighed, "Must be them I'll let them have fun for the night." The Sect he established doesn't impose any strict rules on its disciples.

Other than don't be a bother to others, it basically had no rules at least not yet. The Lopus Family was still finalizing the Annexing the nearby Sects and City, so nothing could be set in stone right now.

Wang Ling closed his eyes, ready to cultivate once more when

"GRANDMASTER WANG! I HAVE RETURNED TO CHALLENGE YOU AGAIN!"

"" Wang Ling chose to ignore the brash bastard.

"GRANDMASTER WANG! I HAVE RETURNED TO CHALLENGE YOU AGAIN!"

"...."

"GRANDMASTER WANG! I HAVE RETURNED TO CHALLENGE YOU AGAIN. PLEASE!?"

"Goddammit. ALL RIGHT ALREADY! NOW SHUT UP!" Wang Ling stood up from where he sat and then went to humiliate a man tonight as well. It was tough being a good guy.
