Chapter 92: Enlightenment

Chapter 92: Enlightenment

Chapter 92: Enlightenment

A grade-3 spirit plant was a treasure that a saint will take dearly care of. It was something that can buy a city if it is brought to either of the three continents.

It was a treasure meant for the use of [Dominion Realm] cultivators. The dominion realm was the next cultivation realm after sainthood. It was the realm that separates the saints from the celestials.

It was the second boundary real. Normal people would not use such a treasure to improve their levels and would choose to save it for the future. Wang Ling such a person.

He wanted to level up but he won't be using the Regal Jade Lotus, no, he was going to use the resources of those wealthy top cultivators in this place. From what information he had collected.

There were ten people up there who treated themselves as the strongest. That means there were ten storage rings up there that can be taken away.

However, there was a huge risk if they want to take the storage rings from them. If someone from that place manages to recognize them after an event like this. They would be meeting a lot of dangers in the future as many powers will surely come for them.

These examinees had their connections. They have their own families and those families would surely avenge them if word gets out. So, Wang Ling and Bai Xue had no choice but to be careful. It would be best if they can just take a few and leave as fast as they could.

Wang Ling and Bai Xue disappeared from that mountain and went to a nearby hill where not many people wander to. Wang Ling was quietly meditating, as he absorbed the qi of the spirit plants Bai Xue collected.

Bai Xue was doing the same. Their strength was at the peak of their respective levels. But being quite a whale, raising their cultivation couldn't be fulfilled. The two found the resources at hand always lacking.

They were beings that transcend common sense so their consumption of resources was also beyond common sense, but it wasn't that bad. After all, they had the edge compared to other beings of the same level. Although there were geniuses that could also jump levels. Wang Ling and Bai Xue were far from reaching their potentials.

If they push themselves to the limit. No one would know how much they can draw from their capabilities. This especially goes for their mysterious bloodlines.

Wang Ling opened his eyes and sighed as he saw Bai Xue cultivating on top of his lap. He had finished cultivation and was now left without anything to do.

Taking out the strongest sword in his storage ring. Wang Ling observed by lifting it overhead. He sighed as he realized that this sword was nothing but a tool and nothing more.

"I have to create my own [Natal Weapon]. My [Blood Seeker] was destroyed in the fight with the celestials. I need to create a new one, but first, I would need to find suitable materials to do so. Hmm, should I try fusing a [Devil Stone] with a [Divine Ore]? They say those kinds of things have the properties of both heaven and hell."

Wang Ling's weapon used to be the one called Blood Seeker, its name was not granted by him. But by his opponents, as it would hum in delight after killing some people.

It was a good sword, but it was destroyed on the third day of the fight on that fateful day. Those Celestials used a formation to gather their strength so they can deal with Wang Ling in one fell swoop.

However, Wang Ling's sword cut their attack in half. But that costs him to having his sword break. Wang Ling was heartbroken when it happened.

After all, that sword was created by him when he was still a nascent soul stage cultivator. So to honor his sword that day, he used it to behead the ten bastards to cause its destruction.

After the act of beheading was completed.  His Blood Seeker turned to dust. The sword he used from then on was the swords lying on the ground and the ones kept inside his storage ring.

That Blood Seeker of his complemented his fighting style back in the day. If not for it getting destroyed. He would have gone to find it as soon as possible so he can reunite with it once more.

But as it was already broken. He had no choice but to create a new one for himself. Right now, he was thinking of materials that will complement his abilities and strengths. Should he create a single sword that has both properties of his qi? Or should he separate it and double wield.

It doesn't make much difference for him if he double wield or not. It was, after all just a matter of separating his mind to simultaneously maneuver two weapons at once. Wang Ling was a true master of weapons.

Playing with the sword in hand. Wang Ling started thinking of a natal weapon that would suit him. It will not be easy creating a sword for his unique qi and body, but if he ever manages to create one, then that sword will be the one he will use to overturn heaven and rule over hell as the god he was destined to be.

As he was thinking more about the matter about creating a sword for himself. His sword heart that was etched on his soul trembled. The invisible sword qi fluctuated and his soul resonated with it.

His sword qi suddenly improved and it began to resonate with the heavens. His mind experienced sudden enlightenment as he realized what he was missing.

The sword that was waiting to be created was etched in his mind. Sudden enlightenment of how he should create that sword appeared.

However, even with the tumultuous surge of information. His mind never experienced any form of discomfort. He was simply at peace with himself.

His memories were dug to find the best form of material he should use to create that sword. His mind bathed in that illustrious feeling that he didn't pay any attention to his sword qi that was connecting with the heavens.

The connection it had with heavens started to change. From a peaceful connection, it began to change from a savage one.

There were four levels of mastery in terms of swordsmanship. From sword intent to the sword heart. Of the past era, sword heart was revered as the highest form of mastery.

It was the ceiling that everyone wanted to reach. But for those at the higher realms, sword heart was just the start. The illustrious fifth level of mastery was the true start of practicing any form of weapon.

Right now, in an unlikely position where enlightenment wasn't supposed to happen. Wang Ling experienced a sudden stroke of inspiration that made him realized what he was missing.

His sword qi broke through the barrier that was halting its improvement. It touched the barrier that was the fifth level of sword mastery. His sword qi began to roar, but it could do nothing about the barrier.

The sword path of Wang Ling was taking form, but it had yet to fully solidify.

Wang Ling basked in the magnificent feeling that was the creation of the sword in his head and the mysterious advancement of his sword qi.

Raising his head towards the blue skies, Wang Ling smirked as his sword qi broke out of his body. The sword in his hands vibrated in reverie for Wang Ling's obvious strength in the path of the sword.

The sword in hands was a mere grade-1 sword, but as it bathed on Wang Ling's sword qi. Its spirit experienced a change and evolved.

Its external body changed and it resonated with Wang Ling. As it experienced changed with Wang Ling's sword qi. Its properties began to match with Wang Ling's dao.

But as its materials weren't suited to him it wasn't able to fully emulate Wang Ling's desired sword. But the sword nonetheless changed.

A grade-1 sword had another name, it was called a nascent soul sword. But a grade-2 sword that was the weapon of a saint was referred to as a Saint Sword.

Wang Ling's sword suddenly evolved into a Saint Sword without his knowledge. The spirit of the sword hummed with Wang Ling's sword qi.

Wang Ling broke out of his enlightenment and he saw Bai Xue was no longer on top of his lap and the grass around him was mysteriously cut in half. The sword in hand had already changed into a Saint Sword, now that was weird.

He looked at it confusingly and asked Bai Xue who was looking at him with a weirded out expression.

"What's the problem and what happened here?" Wang Ling who had no idea what was going on asked with innocence.

Bai Xue trembled and was angry at Wang Ling as she looked at as his unknowing expression. She wanted to bash his face but forced herself to calm down. After taking a few deep breaths, she answered him.

"You experienced sudden enlightenment here and gained the right to peer into divinity!" Bai Xue looked at Wang Ling's stupid confused face and had the urge to slap it back and forth.

This guy was the strongest of this realm, so how come he didn't know about this matter? Was the power ceiling of this world so low in the past that such a level never existed before?

Although Wang Ling explained his life towards Bai Xue before. It wasn't like Wang Ling explained the matter of the Celestial Spirit Realm and its power ceiling. So how can Bai Xue know that level-4 mastery was the highest of the past era?

So, she had to explain, "The next realm of mastery in terms of every weapon is called, [Divinity]."

"Divinity?"

"That's right, divinity is only gained after paving a path that is unique to yourself. Just like how the nascent soul is birthed. Divinity is birthed and once divinity is birthed, a path that is exclusive to you will open up and the mastery of your 'sword' is going to earn the right to be called, [Sword Divinity], the level-5 mastery of the sword."
