Chapter 491: Lost…

Right at the top of the highest peaks present on Giaran’s planet, the green water sea could be seen spreading through the entire distance, a perfect view from such a height.

And on that peak sat a young man with snowy white hair, whose eyes currently looked out at the sea, unfocused. Silence enveloped the entire area as Zeras sat down and simply allowed only himself and his emotions right now.

The memories of those thousand crystals present in what was most likely his soul space, and the figure of that enormous dragon that was tied down by those enormous chains.

He could sense its monumental disdain towards him, and he cracked his eyes of chaos with just a word. But what really rang throughout Zera’s head were those words that he had mentioned.

“I swear by Takamahagara, if not for the chain wrapped around me by your mom, I would have immediately eradicated you from all planes of existence and stopped the road of Samsara from allowing you to place a foot in it for 10,000 years…”

“WEAK, HELPLESS, USELESS, YOU’RE NOT WORTHY OF BEING HER SON. BE GONE!!!”

The words kept ringing in his head all the time, even as he sat down and looked at the green sea in front of him. “I’m finally starting to understand some things. I’m finally realizing the truth…” Zeras mused out loudly as he grabbed a stone from the top of the hill and flung it downwards.

It bounced on the surface of the sea continuously before disappearing completely from Zera’s view.

“A fusion that is not meant to be. I finally realize what Jason was saying in his final moments. Truth is, I should be able to control all that power present in those crystals. But I’m only able to control one, which is the Chaos devourer system.

I’m supposed to possess thousands of genes, each not a bit less in might compared to the one I currently control now. Yet, I only control one out of thousands.

To a person who expects me to be able to control thousands and I have one, how can he recognize my strength. How weak and helpless am I really, compared to what I could have been, that he knew very well.

How can I be truly worth standing before what I could have truly been. Truth is, I’m no monster, just a piece of trash!” Zeras mused as he grabbed another stone from the pile and immediately flung it down. It bounced continuously on the surface of the water and once again disappeared.

“System, did you know the cultivation base of that dragon, like an estimate?” Zeras suddenly asked as the golden notification panel appeared in front of Zera’s eyes.

[The system had really scanned the entire place once the Host stepped onto it, and the system is finally open to some unbelievable secrets that the System finds unbelievable too…] The system replied as Zeras simply looked dazedly at it.

[Firstly, the system found out that the small realm is not present in the Host’s DNA like Jason said, but in the Host’s soul space, and the necklace on the Host’s neck is actually the key to that soul space. Cultivators should be able to easily delve into their soul space with enough meditation, but the Host seems to be an anomaly to that, having to rely on an external key…] The system replied as Zeras grabbed another stone and flung it into the sea.

[Finally, the dragon’s cultivation, according to the System’s calculation, is, um, around two levels after the undying realm!]

“Hehehe? Is this a joke!?” Zeras laughed out like, teetering on the edge of madness.

[It is strangely not. The undying realm has the capability to bring back Jason who was dead to life once more, even though there would no doubt be some backfiring. A realm above the Undying realm should be able to reincarnate a person back to life without much problem.

As for the realm even above that, then if the word god could mean someone able to bring the dead back to life and the living to death, then I think only those cultivators have reached that level.]

[But does the Host know what is currently giving the system a headache?] The system asked as Zeras raised an eyebrow.

[The dragon that the host met is almost a god, and yet, it got tied down by the Host’s mum. That begs the question, Zeras, just who the hell is your mum!?] The system asked as Zeras looked into the distance at the sea, and his teeth clenched tightly.

“I don’t understand at all. I have no idea at all. I feel like an ordinary mortal treading among gods. I feel like I’m unworthy. How can I feel like that!” Zeras wondered as his teeth clenched tightly together, and his hands shifted to claws, digging roughly into his palms. What type of trash feels like he’s unworthy of his own mother, yet, the emotion was drowning him completely. He was weak and helpless.

How could he truly be worth being the son of a goddess? His origin was just too messed up. So messed up, he feels like he’s unworthy of being discussed at all. And finally, he reached a breaking point.

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH”

The laugh of a person who had been fed up with everything. The laugh of a person who believeed he had nothing more to loose.

And sme moments of silence passed, and suddenly with a slight reverberation of his muscles, Zeras jumped up from where he sat as he looked into the green sea.

He had make his choice, now was the time to leave up to what he was lacking. Now was the time to become the son of a goddes.

He was tired of having anyone who knows of his true origin looking at him disdainfully. He was forcefully going to change their gaze.

He was going to shock them all. And everything begins with a single crazy decision!
