Chasing You Like a Tenacious Falcon

Chapter 61

Chapter 61

The night market brought Wei Shixu and Quan Zhisui closer, a certain unspeakable understanding flowing between them.

Wei Shixu had not had a stomachache in many days, reducing the frequency of his acupuncture visits at noon.

Over the following week, the small team of four went everywhere together, their harmonious relationship awe-inspiring to others.

Class 1 was extremely envious, the problem was that they didn't know who to be envious of among the four.

A cool and handsome school hunk, Wei Shixu, a clever and responsible class monitor, Zhuge Ying, a sunny and generous Kong Mingze, and a chivalrous heroine who had transferred schools, Quan Zhisui.

The four had drastically different styles and a massive gap in their academic performances, yet, curiously enough, they hung out together.

They sat in the most remote corner away from the podium.

Kong Mingze and Zhuge Ying's relationship was progressing very well, to the point of being inseparable. Besides becoming each other's dining companions, they always studied together.

Thanks to this, Kong Mingze's results improved on the weekly test, scoring in the double digits, which greatly boosted his confidence.

On the other hand, Quan Zhisui's progress was massive. After Wei Shixu sat in the row in front of her, it became easier for her to ask questions. Any time she didn't understand something, she would immediately get an answer, maximizing her study efficiency.

As a result, her ranking advanced by five places on the weekly test, even though they had not finished covering all of the senior two content.

Though Quan Zhisui's scores were still in the lower half, her efficiency and speed could be described as horrifying.

Regardless Zhuge Ying always praised her for being smart.

Zuo Zichen's injury had healed, but he was feeling really down these days. It was because his father only gave him twenty thousand spending money while his mother, constantly in a state of anxious moodiness, knew only how to cry and stopped giving him money.

And of this twenty thousand, he had to share ten thousand with Quan Zhisui.

But Zuo Zichen hid this fact and kept quiet about it, deciding that if his elder sister didn't ask for it, he would act as if it didn't exist.

One day during the break.

Kong Mingze went to the convenience store to buy snacks for the group. Even though he was forced to study daily by Zhuge Ying, Kong Mingze enjoyed his days immensely as his long-cherished dream had come true.

Wei Shixu finally agreed to be his friend!

Zhuge Ying was also not at her seat as she was discussing student council matters with the publicity committee. They were preparing to share Quan Zhisui's running video with the rest of the school.

Quan Zhisui still would use the breaks to study intensively. Now that she had clothes to wear and was no longer cold, the autumn wind blowing in from outside the window felt quite comfortable.

Today, she didn't have many questions to ask and quietly worked on her assignments.

Wei Shixu turned around in his seat to face her, both using the same table.

Having mastered all the subject matter and scored well, he didn't need to do the question papers and quietly kept her company. From time to time, he would glance up at her, his gaze soft.

However, Quan Zhisui would ignore his gaze and simply focused on her work.

When you like someone, you become curious about their past and attempt to decipher their thoughts.

Wei Shixu was no exception. Seeing Quan Zhisui complete a question, he couldn't help but ask, "Why is your name Zinan at Wudang Mountain?"

Without pausing her pen from the next question, Quan Zhisui replied while writing, "My name is still Quan Zhisui. Zi is our generational name passed down. In our generation, everyone's name starts with 'Zi', while my master and the generation before him, their names start with 'Shi' (master)."

"Oh," replied Wei Shixu softly before asking once again, "What about Nian?"

Quan Zhisui glanced at Wei Shixu and chuckled, "It means year, a year for every passing age."

Distracted by her laughter, Wei Shixu felt his heart skip a beat, he followed suit, "Age after age, year after year, it does sound nice."

Quan Zhisui raised an eyebrow, "It sounds nicer when my elder martial brother says it!"

Wei Shixu's heart sank, "Elder martial brother? Which one?"

Quan Zhisui explained, "Zi Yin, the martial brother who is closest to me!"

Wei Shixu pressed his lips together, then asked, "How so?"

Excitedly, Quan Zhisui started talking about Zi Yin, "He's older than me by a year and he's always been the nicest to me! He would buy clothes for me, toys, pamper me, take care of me. When I was mischievous as a kid, other martial brothers would pick fights with me, but not Zi Yin. He's never laid a hand on me."

Wei Shixu scoffed, "Not hitting you equates to being nice to you?"

Quan Zhisui glared at him, "It’s not just that! I toss and turn in my sleep, and Zi Yin would get up in the middle of the night to tuck me in."

Wei Shixu squinted, "You guys shared a bed?"

Quan Zhisui confirmed, "Yes, we shared a room in the Martial Arts School! When we were younger, we even shared a bed!"

When she finished speaking, she saw something shift in Wei Shixu's gaze, his eyes filled momentarily with a sanguine hue.

She stopped writing.

The man opposite her rose from his seat.

He was tall, casting a looming shadow as he stood.

Wei Shixu's voice was laden with an overwhelming weight, "Will you share a bed with me, Quan Zhisui?"

"I will not," Quan Zhisui said, her expression turning sober.

The ambiance immediately became frosty, and any trace of warmth was now completely absent.

Suddenly!

Wei Shixu reached out, grabbed her textbooks and papers from her desk, one by one, and tossed them out the window!

"Stop writing," he commanded.

Kong Mingze, who was just coming back from the small grocery store, looked up to see books and papers flying, showering down from the second-floor window!

"Holy crap!" he immediately rushed over to pick them up.

Instinctively, he knew, Wei Shixu was having another one of his tantrums!

He'd only been gone for a little while, not more than five minutes. How had he managed to get angry again so quickly?!

In the classroom.

The students were still discussing amongst themselves or chatting, completely oblivious to the ruckus in the corner, their laughter and chatter not ceasing.

Wei Shixu kept throwing, with no major commotion, as calm as if he were disposing garbage.

Quan Zhisui distantly asked, "What exactly are you trying to do, Wei Shixu?"

"Want to sleep with you."

Wei Shixu said this with a smile, turning around, his expression unreservedly audacious!

Bang!

Quan Zhisui threw a punch in an instant!

Her rage peaking in that moment!

Crash!

Wei Shixu took the punch, falling backward, knocking over tables and several chairs. The corner of the classroom was now a complete mess.

"Ah ——"

"What the hell is happening?!"

The students in Class 1 were all startled, their screams echoing across the room.

Had they seen correctly? Quan Zhisui had indeed punched Wei Shixu?!

Wei Shixu lay there, he hadn’t even attempted to minimise the impact of the blow, hitting at least three desks. However, he was completely ignoring the surrounding chaos, looking directly at Quan Zhisui with a smile smeared across his face, his lips stained with a sliver of blood.

"Thought I wouldn't dare?" He issued a challenge.

He proved to be a complete and utter madman!

This again infuriated Quan Zhisui. She grabbed him by the collar, hoisted him up, and once again, slammed him fiercely onto the table!

Hoisted again! Thrown into the corner of the wall!

Bang! Crash—

In the midst of chaos, Wei Shixu was beaten so badly he couldn't fight back.

None of the surrounding tables and chairs were spared, overturned in the fallout!

Zhuge Ying hastily tried to maintain order, yelling for someone to get a teacher while arranging for the students to be moved away.

The fight was too fierce!

Just what had Wei Shixu done to infuriate Quan Zhisui to this extent?

The classroom was a mess, the scene was brutal, it was unbearable to stay in such chaos.

No one dared to approach the raging Quan Zhisui, she was simply too skilled at fighting!

The students could only retreat from the classroom, taking shelter in the hallway.

Not knowing who, perhaps overcome with fear, someone shut the classroom door!

Huh? The classroom door was shut?

Behind the closed door, the roar of massive impacts continued to resound, each one heavier than the last.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The people were so scared they didn't dare to peek through the window.
