Qian Jin was waiting for the head wolf to loosen its vigilance. He had seen quite a lot of pack wolves which shared something in common, that was, they were highly vigilant for most of the time, but would relax their vigilance at some moment.

Rise-up! Qian Jin found that the wolves kept extremely watchful even when they had a nap, but when they rose up after the break, they would truly relax themselves.

Qian Jin paid special care to the head wolf like a veteran hunter as time passed by.

Aww...

The head wolf opened its eyes and growled to the sky, exciting the other packs of wolves to follow its growling; it slowly rose up with its four limbs propping the ground.

“The chance has come!”

Qian Jin’s squinting eyes suddenly showed out a lust for war, meanwhile, the Level 9 warrior spouted out of his body acupoints and reservoirs before spreading into his legs. His bent knees fiercely bounced, producing strong pushing force. He pounced at the head wolf like a flying arrow shot from a forceful bow, and chopped at the target incisively with all the strength he had accumulated from the past three days’ killing.

The head wolf’s eyes flashed with surprise, and with its limbs which hadn’t stretched straight bulging sharply, it jumped to the other side in order to dodge.

Aww... puff...

The head wolf’s body was still jumping in the air, but its head ceased moving and splashed onto the ground. At the same time, its growl was also abruptly ended.

Everything happened in just an instant! The practice and growth Qian Jin had obtained during the past three days got so fully displayed when he chopped off a head wolf with one sneak attack.

Qian Jin felt happier for this tit for tat sneak attack than finishing off the head wolf from the front. He made a little progress in moving stealthily during the past three days.

Having killed the wolf with one chop, Qian Jin landed on the ground, bent his knees, galloped with the bending force, and came straightforward to the three Red Wolves in front just like a bullet. With a horizontal chop by the Zhanmadao, he finished off the three Red Wolves which were yet to realize the current situation.

In the blink of an eye, Qian Jin chopped off the Red Wolf which had almost evolved into a Lava Wolverine, and then sentenced to death another three Red Wolves. Compelling strength was thus activated, with which he turned to the other side to put an end to the other two Red Wolves.

Aww... One Red Wolf raised its head, mournfully howled, and pounced at Qian Jin by slightly bending down. Qian Jin placed his Zhanmadao horizontally in front, and turned back to shot a vicious glare at the Red Wolf which was about to attack him!

The Red Wolf quivered for an instant; the atrocious force in its eyes was greatly abated, and the rising fur subsided. It stepped backwards with its trailing tail crossed between the legs, making howling sound out of fear.

Murderous intent! The Red Wolf caught sense of Qian Jin’s strong murderous intent by instinct, which made him a messenger of the hell crawling out of stacks of carcasses and seas of blood.

The wolves had much stronger instinct than human beings. The grimacing Red Wolves surrounding Qian Jin stared at him, and kept stepping back with their tails crossed between the legs.

They didn’t dare to come forth and avenge their head wolf. Both the guy holding the Zhanmadao and the wide sword itself all wore strong murderous look!

Aww...

With another howling, the remaining Red Wolves steered to escape, rushing towards the forest without looking back, fearing that they might be finished off by this demon if they were left behind.

“Is this over?” Qian Jin glimpsed at the battlefield and frowned in puzzlement. “Aren’t the wolf packs dauntless? What’s wrong with this crowd of Red Wolves? What on earth happened to them?”

“Well, it’s better for them to go away, or else I will be troubled.”

Qian Jin took a deep breath and performed [Forging Breathe Technique]. He gradually expanded the sensation outward, in an attempt to detect the One Hundred Years Aged Ice-iron which he had been searching for three days.

This cold? So chilly! Seemed like ice! Qian Jin closed his eyes and waved his fists, feeling the chill coming from all directions. Beneath the surface rock was a huge iron ore reserve producing a sense of coldness, which stood as its biggest difference from ordinary iron mines.

What was this? For an instant, Qian Jin felt some hot air from somewhere apart from the cold touch of metal, producing a totally different feel from the Ice-iron. The hot air reached an extremely high temperature of more than one hundred centigrade! Yet its hot spot was small...

Qian Jin opened his eyes and looked towards the hot spot, only to find that the hot spot came from the dead head wolf.

Chopping apart the carcass of the Red Wolf using Zhanmadao, Qian Jin found that there was a small red stone about the size of pinkie fingernail on its abdomen. Touching it, Qian Jin’s hand felt like it was burning.

“Could this be the Magic Core?” Qian Jin took out his sabre to pick up the red stone out of curiosity, and then he chopped down a piece of fur from the Red Wolf, tucked it into his leather bag and sighed. “It seems to be the Magic Core. I can’t believe that it had already bred a Magic Core. Were it left with longer time, it would become a huge pain for me.”

For an ordinary person who accidentally picked up a Magic Core, the only use of it might be selling it at an auction for a large amount of money

But for people of different professions, such as the mages, the warriors, the pharmacists, and the Forge Masters, it meant differently.

It was said that the pharmacists could make marvelous medicine with the Magic Core, and the mages could employ someone to inlay it into their wands using special methods, or make some magic scrolls out of it. Even for those who hadn’t become Magic Forge Masters, it could still be utilized to improve the quality of the Warrior Weapons.

Though Qian Jin couldn’t take it back to school and unsure whether it was a true Magic Core or not, he might be able to gain more experience of blacksmithing when exercising forging weapons in Blake’s Blacksmith store. Moreover, he wouldn’t feel at a loss about how to use it for forging warrior weapons if he happened to own a Magic Core in the future.

The One Hundred Years Aged Ice-iron wasn’t connected closely to each other. They were like pieces of huge stones, ever growing as time went by.

Qian Jin placed aside several rocks, picked one piece of One Hundred Years Aged Ice-iron from underneath— the one he was sure to weigh one hundred and ten pounds—and wrapped it with a red sheath, or else he would be frozen into an ice chunk while carrying it bare on his shoulder before he could reach the foot of the mountain.

Carrying the One Hundred Years Aged Ice-iron, Qian Jin took another look at the Red Wolf chopped off into pieces, feeling irrepressibly sentimental and grateful. Was it not for his journey to carry out the mission on his own, he couldn’t have the chance of practicing the knowledge about warrior tactics written on the textbook.

And if he continued forging the iron in the blacksmith store, instead of embarking on the three-day hunting and fighting, whether his warrior energy could reach the Level 8 would remain something unknown.
