Chapter 1370 - 1370 Open in Daytime, Close at Night! (1)

1370 Open in Daytime, Close at Night! (1)

There were always special beings in the vast universe, home to millions of stars. They thrived on those stars.

The countless living creatures made up the myriad of species in the universe.

The Light Velvet Planet was one of the special stars.

It had been around for 8.6 billion years, which was nothing in the scope of the vast universe.

Still, compared to earth, it was the ancestor of its ancestor.

This planet was located in a remote area. It was a peaceful place, with no one trying to disturb it.

Even if outsiders did land on that planet, they wouldn’t meddle in its development due to several reasons.

It was a blessing!

A spacecraft traveled silently in the great expanse.

Based on speed, the sound of the engine, and the hull’s material, one could tell it was a cosmos level vessel.

It had a rough and sturdy look, like a giant metal beast roaming through space.

There were shields on both sides of the craft, adorned with a sword and blade crossing as a symbol.

If anyone were to see it, they would recognize the unique symbol of the Universe Mercenaries Alliance.

Below the symbol was a big and hideous black snake.

The latter had a triangular head. Its scales were like tree leaves, while the pupils were blood-red. There was a green crown on its head, something like a cockscomb, and its fangs were visible. The creature had a ruthless and terrifying aura.

The Black Leaf Green Crowned Snake!

This was an evil and vicious reptile of poisonous nature. It was powerful; an ordinary celestial warrior could die from exposure to its poison.

Of all the mercenary groups in the alliance, only one used that snake as their symbol. It was the powerful Black Leaf Snake Team!

It was a mercenary force that stood among the alliance’s top three. There were five heaven stage martial warriors in the team and their leader was a famous character. His ability was top-notch, even among heaven stage warriors.

Just then—

A group of martial warriors were standing right next to the ship’s control station, intently looking at the map displayed in front of them. They seemed to be a little excited.

A middle-aged, bearded man couldn’t help but curse, “Damn it, we’re finally getting there.”

“Honestly, it really is an out-of-the-way planet. We took three months to get here from planet Soaring Cloud,” said a handsome brown haired warrior.

A beautiful, cold-looking lady in black battle uniform said with indifference, “I hope the map is correct. If not, it would be three months wasted.” She was twenty years old or thereabouts.

Her lips were thin, while her eyes were slightly narrow and long. She was a bit sinister, and her indifferent expression made her seem even more distant.

“Leader, I’ve studied the map and it’s real. It’s been around for a few hundred years. It cannot be fake,” said a young man wearing a pair of glasses that gave him a tech-savvy look.

“I hope so. If not, I’ll skin you alive,” replied the fierce and beautiful lady.

The young man felt confident, but ended up shrinking his neck after hearing what the latter said.

The others looked at the lady fearfully.

The fierce lady patted the young man’s shoulder and said in a calm voice, “My brother’s birthday is coming. I came here following your advice; you know there will be consequences if I don’t get enough presents for him.”

“Yes, it shouldn’t be a problem.” Cold sweat poured down the young man’s back. He felt he was being targeted by a poisonous snake.

The others were also frightened. That was their leader’s younger sister; their evil and merciless nature was exactly similar.

Without the shadow of a doubt, the young man would suffer, if they returned empty-handed. Furthermore, the others would suffer along with him.

The spacecraft became silent. Everyone observed the map in silence while time flew by.

“Leader, we’re here.” The young man’s eyes lit up. He shouted in excitement, “We’ve detected a planet with life signatures. We’re right on the money, it has a dense light force.”

“That’s great!” The others were elated and relieved.

“Light force! A planet filled with light force… We’re rich!” The bearded man was exhilarated.

“Of course. I would never dare offer you this planet if it wasn’t special enough,” said the young bespectacled fellow to butter up their leader.

However, the beautiful lady remained expressionless. Her gaze became sharp as she ordered, “Full speed ahead!”

“Yes!” the young man quickly replied.

The people onboard the ship felt motivated. Following the young man’s orders, the vessel accelerated and rushed to reach a certain direction.

Soon, a planet covered by a white glow entered their vision.

Everyone’s eyes lit up as if seeing a treasure. The greed on their faces was apparent.

That was an undiscovered planet: a lamb waiting to be slaughtered.

“Leader, shall we land on the planet?” the fellow with glasses asked impatiently.
