Chapter 1970 Azure Sea Pearl! Wang Teng Strikes! (4)
Cracks continued to spread across the formation. The light shield formed by the array couldn't withstand it anymore.
The queen's face darkened as she clenched her teeth, and she unleashed another burst of energy.
This time, she didn't just release her Force. She released her bloodline power too.
A gigantic virtual image of a serpent appeared around her. It was the Primordial Oceanic Serpent.
However, this Primordial Oceanic Serpent, when compared to the one that had manifested through Little Qing'er earlier, appeared somewhat smaller and less substantial. It lacked that overwhelming sense of ancient majesty that was almost unbearable.
To Wang Teng, it appeared that this manifestation of the Primordial Oceanic Serpent was only a facade, lacking the formidable bloodline power that Little Qing'er possessed.
The Primordial Oceanic Serpent Bloodline had three abilities—Intimidate! Plunder! Enslavement!
Yet the image before them seemed to possess, at best, the power of intimidation.
The queen hadn't awakened her bloodline power completely. She had merely managed to stimulate it.
"It appears that this group of snakemen all share the Primordial Oceanic Serpent Bloodline," Wang Teng murmured to himself.
As the phantom of the Primordial Oceanic Serpent manifested, the queen channeled streams of her bloodline's power into her throne.
The intricate runes on the throne and the stone wall behind it blaze with dazzling red light.
Roar!
Roar!
Roar!
…
In an instant, thunderous roars filled the air, echoing through the heavens and earth.
Above the array in the sky, massive serpentine figures appeared abruptly. These were composed of concentrated energy, coiling in the skies to defend against the poison tides.
"This might be the ultimate form of the Azure Poison Serpent Array," Wang Teng remarked, his eyes gleaming with anticipation as he observed the intricate patterns in the sky.
With a tinge of hope in his eyes, he wished for the complete unleashing of the array's power to withstand the poison tide, allowing them to overcome this challenging situation.
After her outburst, the queen's complexion had turned deathly pale, and she appeared weak and drained.
The formation no longer required her to sustain its operation, as she had poured her entire reservoir of energy into it.
She sat upon her throne, swallowed a small pill, and closed her slender eyes to recover from her previous exertions.
Swoosh!
At the same time, Landon finally acted. He knew that he couldn't wait for the snakemen queen to recover. If not, all his efforts would be in vain.
A cold gleam of light struck towards the queen, and as the attack materialized, Landon revealed his presence and charged directly at her.
"Who is it?!" The snakemen queen's eyes snapped open, and a cold light radiated from them. She shouted, extending her hand and flicking her fingers towards the approaching intruder.
Bang!
A muffled sound reverberated within the great hall.
The cold radiance had been deflected by the queen with a single flick of her finger.
Landon staggered back over ten steps, his hand trembling slightly while gripping his spear, a look of disbelief on his face.
The queen's complexion turned slightly paler. though her face was veiled and not entirely visible. Her cold gaze fixed firmly on Landon. "Who are you? How dare you intrude into my palace?"
"Who I am is not important. Give me the Azure Sea Pearl, and I'll leave immediately!" Landon responded.
"How do you know about the Azure Sea Pearl's existence? Who are you?" The queen's eyes widened slightly as she asked with a cold tone.
"Azure Sea Pearl!" Wang Teng was stunned. He asked, "Round Ball, do you know what this Azure Sea Pearl is?"
"I don't know." Round Ball shook its head.
"As expected, the Azure Sea Pearl is with you. Give it to me!" Landon didn't want to waste any more time. He attacked the queen again, thrusting his long spear towards her.
Boom!
Grayish-white flames burst forth, forming scorching spear radiance that surged with intense heat in the somewhat chilly great hall.
"Hmph!" The queen snorted and summoned a battle sword into her hand, slashing forward.
Boom!
Their attacks collided and unleashed an explosive shockwave in all directions.
The queen let out a muffled grunt, her face growing slightly pale as she fell against her throne, a trickle of blood staining her lips.
"It seems you're running out of strength," Landon sneered. Stepping forward, he swiftly positioned himself in front of the queen, his long spear pointed at her throat.
Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh.
At this moment, there was a rush of wind as figures swiftly entered the grand hall. Among them was the snakeman called Zaghu.
"Your Majesty!"
The snakemen martial warriors were appalled when they saw this scene.
"Don't come over or I'll kill her," Landon said coldly.
"Bastard!"
"How dare you disrespect the queen!"
"Release her majesty. If not, you won't be able to leave today!"
…
The snakemen martial warriors were shocked and furious. Murderous intent appeared in their eyes as they shouted.
If it weren't for the queen being held hostage, they would have already rushed forward to kill this audacious intruder.
Wang Teng watched coldly from the sidelines and had no intention of getting involved.
He didn't know what the Azure Sea Pearl was, but the fact that Landon had gone to such lengths to obtain it meant it must have significant value.
However, getting the Azure Sea Pearl wasn't easy. He preferred to let Landon continue his efforts and wait until he secured the pearl before taking action.
In his view, getting the Azure Sea Pearl from Landon would likely be much easier than taking it from the queen.
