She sighed contently as she turned her head to the side. He took the opportunity to kiss her neck.

"Are you okay?" he mumbled against her skin when she groaned.

"It's a lot," she admitted.

"Too much?" he inquired. She shook her head. Just perfect.

He placed a finger under her jaw and turned her head so that she was looking at him. Then, he slowly rested his forehead against her. They stare, only a mere inch apart.

"It's all yours. All of me belongs to you," he told her.

"All of you?" she choked.

"All of me." It was a promise.

She didn't know if he meant physically or more, but she found herself hoping that it was the latter. He had asked her what she had done to him and now she was asking the same question again.

"What have you done to me?" Where were all these feelings coming from?

Her answer seemed too insufficient.

Everything was different. The way he kissed her. The way he touched her. They had never had sex like this before.

They had never been so intimate or gentle with one another. And Mo Qingchen wasn't even moving inside her. He just stayed there. And it was everything she needed at that moment.

Their bodies were joined for the next few hours. It didn't even feel like sex. It felt like they were simply being. Mo Qingchen spent his time being still and thrusting sometimes.

There was no familiar sound of slapping of skin, or the growls and mewls. It was just eye contact and slow kisses. There were soft whispers of affection.

It was perfect.

Scary as hell. But perfect.

Her eventual but inevitable orgasm was unlike anything she had experienced before. It seared her somewhere deep within her. It rolled through her slowly like a fire spreading through an open field. It wasn't the toe-curling, white-hot blaze that she was accustomed to with Mo Qingchen. It was gentle and calm. Somehow, it reached the crevices of her heart.

They made love to each other for the first time that day.

And it changed everything.

She had fallen asleep after having sex with Mo Qingchen. No, not sex; love. She had made love to him. And then she fell asleep.

She had never made love to anybody. She didn't even think she was allowed to feel like that for someone.

When she woke up, he was gone. She was in bed alone, and she was terrified. What had she done? When had all of this happened? It was not part of the plan.

Regardless, she had all of those feelings and she couldn't deal with them at the moment. There couldn't have been a worse time for it to arrive. So, she made a decision.

She got up and took a quick shower, needing it after being with Mo Qingchen, even thought she had taken one just before. She would have to let the hot hater wash away her feelings for him if she could. It would be easier that way.

For her, it was too late. What had he said again? That he would care for her but never love her. He had penetrated her heart and begun to fill it like smoke did through the smallest hole. She needed to get away from him and finish business before she could think about this deeper.

So, she showered, dressed and immediately began to pack things for her trip to Hong Kong. She sat on the floor of her closet with her open suitcase, packing anything she would need while she was away. She was hoping to finish before she had to face him, so she was disappointed she heard the door to their bedroom open and close.

"Qian Meng?" he called out a moment later.

"I'm in the closet," she called back with a sigh.

He appeared in the doorway a few moments later and she looked up at him. He looked tired. She wondered if he had slept when she had or if he had gotten up to really take those calls after she fell asleep.

"Oh, you're packing…"

"Does that surprise you?" she asked softly, trying to keep the tension away from her voice.

"Well, no. I just—when did you wake up?" he asked. Qian Meng looked at him and saw what looked like guilt and fear on his face. She blinked, wanting to ask him what it was, but she knew for sure that he would evade the question.

With that in mind, she crawled over towards the shelves of the shoes.

"What is up with the interrogation? Are you trying to hide something?" she countered.

"Sorry… I—"

She had never heard Mo Qingchen stumble over his words. This would be the first time. "Have you made all your calls?"

He was silent for a moment. "Yes. I just finished. Xiong Hua is cooking dinner already, so I checked up on her as well."

"Good."

"Qian Meng," he began.

"Can you hand me my boxers for when I am bloated? It's in the drawer behind you."

With a sigh, he walked back into the drawer and pulled it out. He gingerly added it to her suitcase.

"Can you—"

Mo Qingchen interrupted her. "Why do I get the feeling that you are avoiding talking to me?" he asked.

Qian Meng didn't like the way the discussion was going.

"I'm not. I am just trying to pack," she defended.

"Well. Can you take a break for two minutes?" he inquired.

She put down the dress that she was holding and looked back up at him. "What is it, Mo Qingchen?"

He opened his mouth to respond but then seemed to change his mind and he closed it again. He stood, staring at her in confusion.

"You want me to take a break so that we can stare at each other?"

She could tell that her attitude had struck a nerve by the look on his face.

"I would rather you explain to me what the hell I did in the few minutes since I walked in here to anger you."
