Chapter 142 – Gamble-1 (not Edited Yet)

Black stones cost 100 gold coins to open, white stones cost 500 gold coins to open, while blue stones cost 1000 gold coins to open each.

Aren started walking left and arrived at the big stall before speaking, "give me ten black stones."

One of the staff members handing out the stones turned to Aren spoke, "Right away, dear customer. By the way, would you like to open them yourself or have a stone cutter open it for you?"

"I will cut them myself," Aren replied after thinking for a bit.

'The luck status might not change right away if I don't cut the stones myself. To use my luck, whether good or bad, I might need to do things myself,' Aren thought and felt that he had to cut open the stones himself after using the revolver.

Afterward, the staff member asked for the card and deducted 1050 points from the Star Stealer card before giving Aren ten adult palm-sized black stones.

"I have deducted additional 50 gold coins for the stone cutter tool," the staff member said as he gave the tool to Aren after giving the stones.

"So expensive?" Aren spoke as he looked at the tool that looked like a knife, but its blade was crude and not sharp at all.

The staff member was a woman who looked to be in her late twenties with a beautiful face and long pale blue hair. Hearing Aren's words, she wryly smiled before speaking, "these stones are expensive to create as they are space folding stones. Naturally, the tool used to cut them is also from a material that doesn't affect the items inside the space, which is why it's expensive."

"Alright," Aren nodded before he went to the middle section where people were cutting the stones.

He went to the empty spot and took out one black stone from his inventory before putting it on the table and then took out the revolver. He manipulated that revolver and pointed its barrel at him.

"Yo, are you trying to kill yourself or what?" A man in his early twenties with short topaz spikey hair spoke. He was also cutting the stones a meter away from Aren on another table.

Aren helplessly smiled hearing that and shook his head, "This revolver will only produce a useless colorful bullet that will not hurt me. But I am still using it to see if it increases my luck or not."

"Lol, are you kidding me? Hahaha," the young man laughed hearing that, "that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen this month. Well, keep it up."

Shaking his head, Aren returned his attention to his work, not bothered by the man.

Aren took a deep breath and consumed 1000 Armalist Force to produce the bullet before thinking, 'let's hope I don't need to waste all fifty thousand plus gold coins on this to get 100 points of luck.'

"First shot," Aren muttered as he pulled the trigger while manipulating the revolver.

The young man was watching Aren, so when he saw a colorful, mystical bullet hitting Aren, he was surprised, "That's cool! But does it hurt or not? Hmmm, hey, I think that revolver does have some uses, right? What does it do?"

[Your current luck: -13]

Aren sighed before he turned to look at the young man, "It doesn't do anything. I am just using it as my good luck charm."

After saying that, Aren cut open the stone using the stone-cutter tool. The use was simple; he had to cut it like a knife but had to put the pressure slowly while cutting the stone.

The process took ten seconds before the stone was cut open, and a small light glowed from it, and Aren got a notification and heard a voice.

[Blame your bad luck for this trash: You have gotten rotten fish bones.]

"Say, say, what did you get?" the young man asked curiously.

"Uhh…," Aren shook his head and took out the fish bones before presenting them to the young man, "here, for you."

"Damn, so smelly!" the young man pinched his nose and slapped away the fish bones from Aren's hands.

"Is that thing really your good luck charm? Hahaha," the young man laughed, "It literally gave you trash after using it."

Aren shrugged, "happens."

"Well, use it on me. Let's see if that so-called good luck charm works on me or not, hehe," the young man said while showing his white teeth with a grin.

Aren was going to say, but he changed his mind as he remembered the effect of this revolver.

—–

-Using the Dream Infortunium bullet on another person will give you two options. Option 1: The usual effect of randomly increasing or decreasing that target's luck. Option 2: You can randomly steal that person's luck, whether good luck or bad luck. Note: You can use option 2 after using option 1 as well.

—–

'Since this revolver upgraded, and it has not that stealing option, this person shouldn't be able to see his luck like Tyrance could see with a normal revolver after I used the revolver on him,' Aren speculated before deciding to do it.

"Alright, let's see…," Aren said as he pointed the revolver at the young man to check his status.

[Unkown]

-Current Luck: 29

-Lifespan: 300

'So the supreme-1 lifeform has 300 years of lifespan, that's the double of mortal-5,' Aren thought as he looked at the status before focusing on the important thing.

"Alright, I am going to pull the trigger," Aren said as he consumed another 1000 Armalist force to produce the bullet.

"Wait! First, tell me if it hurts or not," the young man suddenly asked as he showed his palms towards Aren to indicate stop.

Aren was speechless and shook his head, "it doesn't hurt. Instead, you will actually have a comfortable, dreamy feeling in your mind."

"Oh? Then good," the young man nodded with a grin and crossed his arms, "I am ready. You can shoot!"

Aren nodded as he pulled the trigger, and a colorful wisp shot out from the barrel and hit the young man in the middle of his forehead.

'WHAT!'
