Chapter 1491 A Familiar Place?

Chapter 1491  A Familiar Place?

A few weeks earlier, when Chu Yang had been cautiously making his way through the middle section of the mountain range that was filled with Soul Ascension Realm demon beast, the ground beneath him had suddenly opened up and swallowed him before he could even react.

The next second, he found himself in a completely different place and the mountain range he had been travelling through for the past few days had completely disappeared.

"Did I fall into some kind of secret realm?"

Looking at his surroundings that had completely changed, Chu Yang's only guess as to what was happening was that he had ended up stumbling over the entrance to a secret realm.

If that was just it, he wouldn't be troubled, as he would just be able to make his way out the same way he had fallen in, but as he scanned his surroundings with both his divine sense and domain, it didn't take long for him to discover that the entrance he had supposedly entered through was nowhere to be seen.

In short, it meant that the entrance he had stumbled through was a one-way entrance. If he wanted to get out, he would have to find another entrance to the secret realm that hopefully connected to somewhere familiar.

"Only problem, I have no idea how dangerous this secret realm is nor where another entrance might be located…" Muttering this to himself as he realized just how dangerous his current situation was, Chu Yang could not help looking around at the tall trees that now surrounded him on all sides.

Although he had not encountered any demon beasts or seen any signs of demon beasts yet, his past experience in secret realms told him that his current environment was perfect for demon beasts to live in.

So, with that in mind, he began to cautiously move forward while looking out for any potential demon beast that might be lurking in the foliage around him. Soon enough, finding himself trekking through the forest he now found himself inside of in an unknown secret realm.

The reason he didn't fly being rather simple, as he didn't want to draw any unnecessary attention to himself, becoming an easy to spot target for any demon beasts that might be hidden inside the forest.

However, as he continued slowly making his way through the forest over the next few hours without spotting a single demon beast, his worries about the forest being filled with hidden demon beasts slowly dispersed, as he used his domain to ascend into the air and slowly hover a little over ten meters above the trees.

Taking the opportunity to inspect his new surroundings to look for anything that might help him with figuring out how to get out of the secret realm that he had ended up stumbling into by accident.

Unfortunately, he couldn't see anything other than an endless sea of trees stretching as far as the eye could see without any end in sight. Forcing him to continue traveling without any clear goal in mind outside of searching for something different that might help him locate a path out of the rather strange secret realm that he found himself inside of.

At the very least, now that he was flying, he was far faster and at the same time could observe a far larger area compared to when he had been cautiously moving through the forest earlier on.

Even then, after an entire day of travelling, he didn't spot anything different, as the forest seemed to go on forever without any end in sight.

This is too much! Just how large is this forest? Could it be that I'm perhaps trapped inside some sort of illusory formation…?

Feeling increasingly frustrated as the forest beneath him remained unchanging and just continued on without any end in sight, Chu Yang could not help thinking that he might have been trapped inside some kind of illusory formation.

Given that he had learnt a lot during his time adventuring in the neutral territory, he understood that there were formations that could trap someone inside of them without the person in question having any idea of the fact that they had been trapped inside a formation in the first place.

The only problem with this was that a formation capable of trapping him without him having any idea about it would be of a terrifying level that would pretty much be impossible for him to break with his current strength at the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

Even worse, he had already used up the talismans that had been given to him by his master. Meaning that he was essentially rendered defenseless in the face of such a trapping formation.

Even if he knew about its existence, there was nothing he could do about it, as he couldn't even sense the formation in the first place.

Am I perhaps going to remain stuck in this place until my master comes to find me or… Will I remain trapped here for the rest of my life…?

Feeling his thoughts, taking a somewhat dark turn as he continued travelling through the seemingly endless forest at full speed and then one day turned into three days and then a week without any sign of change in the environment.

"Huh? That is! SOMETHING DIFFERENT!?"

However, just as he felt himself starting to give up hope of leaving the forest as he became certain that he had been trapped inside some kind of formation, he noticed the forest coming to an end and something different appearing, causing him to excitedly rush forward. Wanting nothing more than to leave the forest after having spent over a week flying through it at this point in time.

"Huh? This place is… Isn't this the Dead Spirit Canyon…?"

It was only when he reached the end of the forest and stood at the edge of a tall cliff looking down at the rather familiar massive river, that he realized that he wasn't inside an unfamiliar secret realm, but instead one he had been to in the past.
