Chapter 28: Leaving the Raging Flame Sects Territory

Looking at the elder from the Raging Flame Sect disappearing into the distance, Xuan Hao felt regretful that he didn't manage to kill him off.

To the Flying Sword Sect and Raging Flame Sect, a stage five Nascent Soul elder was really strong. If it were not for him being alone and isolated at the outpost, Xuan Hao would most likely not have gotten a chance to fight him one on one.

Moreover, a Nascent Soul experts' body was really strong. Xuan Hao had used his sword intent to injure him earlier.

But even with the heavy injuries he sustained from the sword attack, the Nascent Soul elder was still okay, and he should be able to fully recover with a few days of rest.

Feeling the auras of several Nascent Soul Realm cultivators coming over, Xuan Hao dared not stay any longer as he quickly jumped back on his sword and hurriedly flew away before the reinforcements managed to arrive and stop him.

The attack from earlier had already drained him quite a bit and dealing with what felt like 4 to 5 fully rested Nascent Soul experts was not really something that he wanted to experience at the moment.

As Xuan Hao left the place, a group of people appeared in front of the outpost.

"Hm… True Sword Intent… I don't know anyone in the Heavenly Sky Kingdom who managed to comprehend it, it should be someone from the outside!" An elderly man in front inspected the scars left from the battle and concluded.

"Elder Gui, are you sure that you felt a strong fire qi on him?"

"Y-yes Sect Master, it was most likely a herb that was of the fire attribute. From what I felt, it should at least be peak spirit grade…" The elder who was beaten up by Xuan Hao earlier appeared quite ragged as he answered the elderly man inspecting the scars left by the battle.

"Hah… If we had known earlier, we might have been able to set up a trap… With a peak spirit grade fire attribute herb, I might have been able to breakthrough and enter the peak of the Nascent Soul Realm…!" The Elderly man sighed regretfully as he looked into the distance where Xuan Hao disappeared.

"But now, we lost any chance of that, I would have to put my life on the line and try to enter the deeper regions of the Burning Mountain Range. Catching up to a sword cultivator who comprehended True Sword Intent before reaching the Domain Lord Realm is nothing but a pipe dream…" The other men looked helplessly at one another. Not knowing what to say.

The Sect Master had reached the eight stage of the Nascent Soul Realm and was just one step away from the ninth stage, but that tiny step had prevented most Nascent Soul Realm cultivator from ever reaching the peak of the Nascent Soul Realm.

"I will enter the Burning Mountain Range today, I can't keep delaying and my lifespan is not infinite…" Concluding this, determination flared up in the elderly man's eyes.

"B-but Sect Master, what if the Flying Sword Sect decides to attack when you are gone…?" A skinny elder asked worriedly as he looked at the determination shining from within the Sect Masters eyes.

"No need to worry about that, even if that Feng Chen does act, we still have more Nascent Soul experts. You just need to hide inside the sect's core formation, and he won't be able to do anything. Secondly, how would they even know that I'm gone?" The elderly man said with a slight smile on his lips.

"T-true, but if you are gone for too long, they will definitely start to suspect something…" The skinny elder was still not assured, he still remembered back when their Sect Master and the Sect Master of the Flying Sword Sect fought each other. Back then, both of them had equal strength even though the Sect Master was one small realm above the Sect Master of the Flying Sword Sect.

"It's fine, I will at most take a few years, just say that I went into secluded cultivation to try and breakthrough or something. People seem to easily believe that excuse…" With those last words, the elderly Sect Master started making his way towards the Burning Mountain Range.

"Sect Master! What do we say to your wife!?" The skinny elder yelled loudly towards the Sect Masters disappearing back.

"… Say I… Went into secluded cultivation…"

"But…"

Before the elders managed to question their Sect Master, he disappeared into the distance, whether they saw him again in the next few years was uncertain.

He would most likely not return immediately even if he managed to find the fire attribute herb, he needed to breakthrough…

"W-what are we supposed to say to the Sect Master's wife…?"

"…"

"Ah, Elder Gui, you seem to have gotten quite injured from your fight earlier, why don't you head back first?" A relatively young elder said as he smiled at the injured elder Gui.

"Yes, yes, I think the injured should head back first, we will stay here and keep an eye out for that sword cultivator!" another elder followed up as he pretended to keep an eye on the few trees in the distance.

"…You guys…" Elder Gui was speechless, and it was only when he was already on his way back towards the Raging Flame Sect that he realized that he had been thrown for the lions, or in this case the Sect Masters wife.

Normally he should not have been afraid of the Sect Masters wife, there was just one problem and that was the fact that she was the grand elder's daughter.

The last time an elder had annoyed her he ended up being beaten up by the grand elder, who to most of the Raging Flame Sect Elders despair doted on his daughter.

Meanwhile, Xuan Hao had no clue about the amount of despair the elder from the Raging Flame Sect that he had beaten up would end up going through and even if he knew, he most likely would not care much and would at most laugh at the elder's situation.

At the moment, Xuan Hao had made it out of the Raging flame Sect's territory and was back in the northern part of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom, where the Flying Sword Sect ruled.
