Chapter 496: Unkown Race

Chapter 496: Unkown Race

Chapter 496: Unkown Race

Looking closer at the small humanoid creatures walking around inside the town below, Xuan Hao thought hard as he tried remembering what he could about the different races other than the human race present on the Ewaria Continent.

Sadly, none of them seemed to fit in with the race inside the small town below him.

Fitting in would properly not be the correct word, as Xuan Hao didn't really have much knowledge about any other races than the human race. The 'other' races that he knew about, were demon beasts who had taken human form and nature spirit who had also take a human form.

None of which the small race of humanoid creatures below him was a part of…

Feeling even more curious about the small town below after realizing that he had no idea what race the humanoid creatures belonged to, Xuan Hao didn't stand around for long, as he hid himself before flying down towards the small town.

Hoping that he would be able to learn something from the small humanoid creatures… At least, if they spoke the same language as him, that was…

Entering the small valley located inside the mountain, Xuan Hao could not help breathing a sigh of relief upon discovering that the small humanoid creatures talked the same language as him.

At the same time, he also managed to get a closer look of the small humanoid creatures.

Sharing clear traits with humans, the small creatures looked almost similar to humans. However, their height was no more than half a meter to a meter in total. The tallest Xuan Hao had spotted, was only a little taller than a meter…

Inspecting these tiny humans so to be speak, Xuan Hao could not help feeling surprised at their strength. Even the weakest among them had reached the Foundation Establishment Realm, while the strongest among them had already reached the Nascent Soul Realm! There was even one among them that was at the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm!

From this alone, Xuan Hao quickly realized that the small race had an innately good talent when it came to cultivation compared to humans…

The other interesting thing about this small race, was the fact that they had not left the small valley. After all, given their strength, they should have easily been able to do so!

"Let's go! We have to be ready! The grand ceremony will take place in only a few hours' time!"

"I know, I know! No need to hurry me, we still have a few hours!"

"Come on! You know that-"

Listening to the conversations between the small people inside the town, Xuan Hao understood that some important ceremony was going to take place when the sun went down.

The people inside the town didn't really talk about what the ceremony was about, outside of mentioning that a new leader would be chosen during this grand ceremony. So, even if he was curious, Xuan Hao could only wait for this ceremony to find out what it was about.

After all, he had no plan to reveal himself to this race of small people yet, he still needed to understand why they here and why they had remained hidden inside the valley even with their current strength being comparable to a small kingdom!

Following behind a group of the small humanoid creatures as they made their way out of the town towards the place where the ceremony would take place, Xuan Hao could not help frowning before coming to an erupt stop.

Not moving a single step closer to the small temple of where the ritual of these small creatures would take place.

The temple was elegant and well decorated with all sorts of mystical creatures being carved into it's walls and ceiling. Giving the small temple a majestic feeling for those who laid their eyes upon it.

Well… The temple itself was small by his standards, but in the eyes of these small creatures, it should be an enormous temple. Covering what would approximately be comparable to half of their small town…

The reason why he had come to a stop, was because he had not seen the temple at all when scanning the area with his divine sense. Only seeing it first hand with his own eyes did he realize it was there!

For it to avoid his divine sense… Xuan Hao didn't dare be the slightest bit careless in front of this temple belonging to an unknown race…

Whoosh~

Landing on the ground a short distance away from the temple of the unknown race of small humanoid creatures, Xuan Hao slowly made his way towards the temple. Making sure both of his domains were ready in case he was attacked.

"Today's grand ceremony is going to be amazing!"

"Yes! I'm really excited, this is my first ceremony!"

"Haha, I also remember how excited I was back during the first time I participated in the grand ceremony."

As the small humanoid figures walked past him without even realizing he was there, Xuan Hao could not help listening in on their conversations. Quickly coming to understand that the grand ceremony was not only a way for them to choose a future leader for their small town, but also a coming of age for their younger generation.

The more Xuan Hao learned about this ceremony sneaking his way towards their temple, the more curious he grew about it.

If not for the fact that the small temple had blocked his divine sense from entering, he would have long since scanned the entire temple to find out what the grand ceremony was all about…

Arriving in front of the small temple after sneaking his way to one of the larger entrances, Xuan Hao could not help showing a surprised expression on his face.

"Something is preventing me from entering the temple…?"

Indeed, upon making his way to the temple of the small humanoid race, Xuan Hao found himself unable to enter the small temple.

Not only that, but after using a good part of his strength to launch a small hidden attack in an attempt to forcibly break through this barrier, Xuan Hao came to realize that the barrier of sorts that surrounded the temple preventing him from entering was far stronger than he had expected.

Even with his small attack containing more than enough strength to kill someone at the early stages of the Domain Lord Realm, it did not show the slightest sign of having been attacked, a testament to the strength of the barrier covering the small temple.

"How in the world-"

Not knowing what to say when faced with such a strong barrier all of a sudden, Xuan Hao could not help wondering just where it had come from. After all, the strongest person inside the small town had at most reached the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm, there was no way someone in the Nascent Soul Realm could set up such a strong barrier!

For someone to set up such a strong barrier that prevented him from entering… The person who set it up, would at the very least have to be stronger than him by a few times…

"Hm?"

About to turn around and return to the small town to see if he could find out more about the temple and possibly about the barrier covering the temple, Xuan Hao suddenly felt the feather imprint between his eyebrows show signs of life again, as it shone with a gentle blue light on the barrier of the small temple.

Fwoosh~

Following the gentle blue light landing on the barrier of the small temple, the barrier seemed to struggle for a short moment before quickly retreating and opening a path up for him.

"This-"

Feeling the barrier retreat and allow a way for him to enter, Xuan Hao could not help exclaiming in surprise as he realized what had just happened.

The feather imprint… How was it connected to the small temple of this unknown race inside the Shattered Star Peaks…?

Not able to answer this question, Xuan Hao could only wonder just how the two were related to one another before he entered the small temple.

No matter what, there was no way that he would give up the opportunity to enter the small temple of the unknown race now that the feather imprint between his eyebrows had helped him get through the barrier.

Not only did he want to find out about the grand ceremony of this unknown race, but now he also wanted to find out how the temple was related to the feather imprint!

Maybe, he would even have a chance at finding out what the unknown race was called… Calling them small humanoid creatures all the time did not really seem that fitting. Especially given the fact that they just looked like smaller humans…

Whoosh~

With this in mind and wanting to know more about the unknown race, Xuan Hao quickly entered the small temple…
