Chapter 1787 Fighting Liao Tian

Chapter 1787  Fighting Liao Tian

"The treasure! Where is the treasure?!" Liao Tian bellowed as he flung open the large metal doors to his smithy with a resounding clang.

Inside, the young man was still fixated on Number One Under Heaven, his gaze locked onto the weapon as if bewitched. He had been inspecting it for hours, his expression a mixture of awe and obsession, utterly consumed by the masterpiece before him.

When Liao Tian's eyes fell upon Number One Under Heaven, his expression mirrored the young man's—filled with awe and fascination. He hurried over to the weapon, his hands trembling slightly as he hovered them above it, almost as if he yearned to touch it but didn't dare to. The sheer presence of the treasure commanded reverence, leaving him entranced.

"This! This is it!" Liao Tian exclaimed, his voice trembling with excitement. "This is what I've been searching for my entire life—the perfect weapon! The materials, the craftsmanship—it's beyond anything I've ever seen despite being a God of Creation at one point!"

Just as Liao Tian reached to touch the sword, it suddenly moved on its own, flying away.

"What the fu—" Liao Tian's gaze followed the sword until it landed in Yuan's grasp.

"Who are you?! How dare you touch my treasure?!" Liao Tian roared after seeing the treasure being touched by someone who wasn't him.

"Your treasure? That's funny, considering I was the one who brought it here," Yuan responded with a smile.

"You… You must be Yuan." Liao Tian narrowed his eyes.

"And you must be Liao Tian. What happened to that man you sent after me?"

"I killed him for failing to correct his mistake," he said.

"Is that so?"

"At least he'll be more useful as a weapon."

Hearing this, Yuan shrugged, "I don't understand your obsession with human weapons. Not only do they lack elegance, but they're nothing special."

"Who the hell are you to question my creations? You're just a nobody who somehow acquired a masterpiece. I was once the God of Creation!"

Yuan laughed out loud, "The God of Creation? With your level of skills? I doubt it."

Liao Tian gritted his teeth and shouted, "Hand over the treasure! You do not even qualify to touch it!"

"If I, its master and creator, do not qualify to touch this weapon, then nobody in this world would qualify," Yuan's voice echoed calmly through the room as he revealed this information.

"You created that treasure? That's a sick joke," Liao Tian sneered, not believing him even for a split second.

"Even if it was a joke, it's not as sick as your hobby and evil practices."

"Evil? Just because I use unorthodox materials does not make me evil."

"You think I am only talking about your methods? I was told that most of your human materials were donated, but after inspecting the materials myself, I confirmed that most of them are actually forcefully harvested."

"That's slander and a baseless accusation. Where is your evidence?"

"My evidence, huh?" Yuan said with a calm yet chilling tone. "Well, I've killed enough people to know the difference between someone who died a peaceful, natural death and someone who met a forceful, violent end."

"Moreover, the weapons you created are all screaming in agony—though I doubt you can hear it."

Liao Tian sneered, his expression filled with disdain. "What kind of evidence is that? None of it is substantial or verifiable."

Yuan smiled and said, "You came from the Alchemy Tower, right? I'm sure you saw what happened to their Tower Master."

Liao Tian instantly frowned.

"You… Don't tell me you were responsible for Tower Master Ma's death?"

"And what if I was? Are you going to avenge him?"

Liao Tian retrieved a large blade and brandished it with a cold expression. The weapon's appearance was grotesque and unsettling—its surface was textured like raw flesh, clearly crafted from human remains. It also radiated a sinister aura that caused the temperature in the room to drop significantly.

"Why would I bother avenging him? I was going to kill you anyway, regardless of whether you killed Tower Master Ma or not."

"Are you even capable of doing such a thing?" Yuan mocked.

"You'll find out soon enough!"

Liao Tian swung his blade with a fierce motion, and in an instant, the weapon expanded dramatically in size and length.

Although slightly surprised by the blade's sudden transformation, Yuan blocked the attack with relative ease. As soon as it was deflected, the grotesque weapon retracted, shrinking back to its original size. Its movements were unnervingly fluid, almost as if the blade itself were alive.

"Unlike ordinary weapons, weapons made from humans can grow stronger without needing refinement," Liao Tian said with a sinister grin, "Not only that, they're truly alive! I don't know if you can hear it, but my weapon has a heartbeat!"

"If you're so satisfied with your weapon, why covet mine?" Yuan asked.

"..."

"You think I want it because I want to replace my sword? No! I am going to feed it to my creation so it can become truly flawless!" Liao Tian laughed out loud.

Yuan shook his head, "I knew it was going to be stupid, but I didn't think it would be this dumb."

"Say whatever you want! That sword will be mine, anyway!"

Having had enough of the farce, Yuan decided it was time to end things. Activating True Dragon Awakening, his aura surged, filling the room with an overwhelming presence. The battle afterward was swift and decisive, and within just a few minutes, Yuan completely overpowered Liao Tian.

As Liao Tian lay on the ground, barely clinging to life, Yuan calmly approached the grotesque weapon.

Looking down at it with a mixture of pity and disdain, he said, "I'll release you all now."

"No!"

Liao Tian used what little strength he had left and uttered, but Yuan ignored him and destroyed the weapon.

As Yuan destroyed the weapon, a faint, eerie noise echoed from the weapon, resembling a distant, anguished scream. The blade shattered into countless fragments, scattering across the floor.

Liao Tian, witnessing the destruction of his prized creation, stared in disbelief. The shock was too much for his already weakened body, and with a final, shuddering breath, he succumbed to death.
