If Hong Ling wasn't aware of her relationship with Yuan in the beginning, she would've mistaken her as some obsessive crazy lady.

"Y-You're really passionate about your master, huh?" Hong Ling said with a stiff smile.

If she hadn't interrupted Feng Yuxiang, heaven knows how long she would've kept on mumbling.

"Of course, I am! The Young Master not only changed my life—he practically saved it!" "What about you, Senior Lan?" Hong Ling turned to look at Lan Yingying next.

"You can just call me by my name. I am actually much younger than you."

"No, I cannot do that. Even if you were just born yesterday, you have seniority over me as a Divine Beast, as I am only an ordinary magical beast."

"If that's what you want to do, I won't say anything else. Anyway, I followed the Young Master for an entirely different reason. She opened her mouth again, but no words came out. She was going to question Lan Yingying's reasoning for bearing a human's child, but she refrained herself, realizing it would be disrespectful.

"Hmph! Once I fully regain my strength and is worth more to the Young Master, I will also ask to bear his child!" Feng Yuxiang declared with a determined look on her face.

"What? But you're of royal bloodline! Are you even allowed to conceive with a human? Won't that significantly degrade your bloodline?" Hong Ling couldn't stay silent after hearing Feng Yuxiang's outrageous declaration.

Hong Ling shuddered in fear when she sensed Feng Yuxiang's killing intent from her narrowed eyes.

It suddenly became dead silent, and it stayed like that for the remainder of the ride. Fortunately, they were already almost at their destination by then, so it was only a few minutes of silence.

"Okay, we have arrived at our first destination—our Heavenly Beast Sect's magical beast breeding ground," Hong Ling said, gesturing toward the massive expanse of land before them. "This is where the sect breeds and nurtures magical beasts for its disciples. While it's not a requirement to have a contracted beast to join the sect, all disciples are expected to form a contract with a beast within ten years of enrollment."

The area resembled sprawling farms, each section dedicated to breeding and raising various types of magical beasts. The air was filled with the sounds of creatures, and the energy in the atmosphere was vibrant.

"Our disciples are encouraged to explore the world and form a contract with a wild magical beast. If they are unable to do that, they can try to form a contract with a beast here. We have over a thousand different species of magical beast, including some rare ones like the Obsidian Bull, Jade Rabbit, and the Red Horned Wasp."

"However," Hong Ling continued, "these magical beasts are not free, nor are they available to every disciple. Only those who demonstrate promise and earn enough points are allowed to form a contract with the beasts here."

"Points can be earned by completing sect missions or through accomplishments that enhance the sect's reputation. It's a way to ensure that only the most dedicated and capable disciples gain access to these valuable resources."

"As for the beasts, we either capture them directly from the wild or purchase beast eggs from the market. Capturing wild beasts isn't too difficult, but the real challenge lies in training them to be obedient."

She paused for a moment before continuing, "As for beast eggs, they're a different story. They're incredibly rare and not always available for purchase, even if you have the resources."

"Can we take a look around this place?" Feng Yuxiang asked, her tone curious.

Hong Ling immediately offered an apologetic smile and said, "About that… Normally, we'd allow it, but because of your bloodlines, I'm afraid your scent would terrify the beasts. It could cause a panic, and that would be disastrous."

"Oh… What a pity," Feng Yuxiang said with a soft sigh, shaking her head in clear disappointment.

Despite her reaction, there was no trace of blame in her expression toward Hong Ling. She understood all too well the impact of their powerful bloodlines as a phoenix and a dragon. Such a presence would undoubtedly terrify the magical beasts in the breeding grounds, especially since these creatures were likely more mentally fragile than their wild counterparts.

"It's understandable," she added softly, her tone accepting.

"Thank you for your understanding," Hong Ling said with a grateful smile. "Let's head to our next destination. It's where our disciples, who have been approved to form a contract with the beasts here, perform their ritual. As a matter of fact, we happen to have someone preparing to perform the ritual soon."

They sped off to their next destination shortly later.
