Chapter 187 - Heaven City
Chapter 187 - Heaven City
Khal seemed happy that Nova liked her name thus nodded and closed his eyes before he began to consume Essence Particles from the air.
Hours later, Khal opened his eyes and stood up.
"21... Under a single night, I only consumed 21 Essence." mumbled Khal and sighed, "It seems Blade Mountain is no longer beneficial for me."
After saying that, Khal opened the space crack and left Blade Mountain to find Jane.
But to his surprise, he didn't have to search for too long as Jane had already waited for him exactly a few meters away from him once he left Blade Mountain.
"Here, she has recovered completely without any aftereffects. She is perfectly fine as a newborn."
"Screech!"
Rubie who was standing atop Jane's shoulder all this time noticed Khal and cried out with happiness and fluttered her wings before flying toward Khal as if she saw him again after years!
"Haha!" Khal laughed as he watched Rubie's joyous expression and behavior, and turned to look at Jane, "Thank you very much. I will definitely repay your kindness in the future!"
Jane looked at Khal's bowing figure and just waved her hand, "No need for that. I just did what I had to as you are a disciple of Moon Academy and also..."
Khal raised his head as he noticed Jane's abrupt silence, but when he did, the only thing he saw was Jane simply shaking his head before turning around.
"Just make sure you don't do anything reckless."
Swish!
With a gentle breeze, Jane's figure vanished into thin air leaving Khal behind with Rubie still rubbing her head against his cheeks merrily.
Khal seeing this pondered for a while, but soon just shrugged and looked at Rubie.
"We still have a bit of time, so what do you think? Should we go hunt for a bit?"
"Screech!" Rubie seemed to agree with Khal's idea thus fluttered her wings and cried out in a low but sharp voice.

Time passed quickly, and after hunting low Stage Beasts in Shadow Woods and letting Rubie consume their Essence, Khal walked back to the Blacksmith Department where Bazz was already waiting for him.
"Ready?"
"Yeah, let's go." nodded Khal and watched as Bazz grabbed his shoulder, and the next second the scenery around him changed.
"Master can also use teleportation techniques?" asked Khal, seemingly surprised by Bazz's power.
"What? Of course, I can! Even though I have a profession as a blacksmith I am still a Cultivator! In truth, I am already on the Seventh Cultivation Stage, so using simple teleportation Secret Arts is not hard at all." exclaimed Bazz a bit angrily, as if he felt hurt by Khal's question.
'...' Khal simply remained silent and nodded before turning his gaze at the sight before him that was similar to the one he saw before the Thousand Life Tournament.
"Welcome to Heaven City, the second most renowned city out of all on the Southern Continent!" said Bazz with a grin, and after breathing in a handful of air through his nostrils, he nodded, "Yeah, the air here is definitely better than in Moon City!"
After walking through the city gate Bazz led them toward a huge building, somewhere in the center of Heaven City.
"Esteemed Guests, welcome to the Star Mansion! May I see your Star Tokens?"
A beautiful woman in an extremely attractive dress that could make any men drool their saliva by a single glance stood in the entrance, her delicate eyes staring at Khal and Bazz patiently.
Khal took out his Star Token and handed over the woman, but found out with shock that Bazz did the same, but with a token that was made out of gold!
Inspecting both tokens before giving them back to the two, the woman smiled and gestured toward the door, "Please enjoy your stay and if you have any questions or problems ask the staff or the judges inside without hesitation."
After putting the Star Token away, Bazz and Khal entered the building that opened right into an enormous hall that didn't pale in comparison to the one inside Resort of Paradise!
Red carpet on the ground, curved staircases on both sides that led the way to the second floor, hundreds of portraits and statues on and before the walls with golden chandeliers hanging from the ceiling with lit candles on them.
The whole place was the real definition of luxurious and noble, almost making Khal feel ashamed that he was standing inside there without any status!
However, the most eye-catching sight was in the distance, about 100 meters from them. There, what Khal was able to see were 4 doors, each made out of different materials with a beautiful and huge star engraved in their middle.
"The silver-colored door will be yours. Once you enter you will be teleported into another hall where you will meet other participants and the judge that is in charge of the event," explained Bazz in a calm voice.
Khal nodded and glanced at the golden door between the sapphire and diamond doors, and asked, "When the competition ended, where should I wait for Master?"
"Just stay outside of this building and wait for me. Because Professional Events last longer than Beginners Event, I think you will have to wait for a few days before we can go back to Moon City."
Khal kind of anticipated this answer thus nodded and after asking a few more questions walked to the silver door and raised his Star Token.
Right after he did, the door together with the token lit up with a silver light, and soon found himself standing in a completely different hall.
"So this is where I will participate, huh?" asked Khal himself and watched the hundreds of sections, each representing a smithery.
After standing still and inspecting his surroundings, Khal moved and walked to a free section which was still free without any participant standing on it.
There, he waited patiently in silence for the competition to start, but soon his face stiffened as he noticed a figure in the distance about 20 sections away from him.
"Why the hell is she here!?" Khal's eyes widened as she watched Seila in the distance who was examining the items in her section.
"Let's just hope she won't see me." thought Khal, but as if heavens loved to play a trick on him, it was exactly then she turned around, staring straight at him.
"Fuck..." Khal cursed inwardly, but it was already too late to hide. Instead, he averted his gaze and acted like he didn't see her, examining a hammer that just happened to be on his side.
'He is here too?' Seila seemed to be shocked to see Khal in this competition, but soon her eyes flashed with hatred before a cold smile appeared on her face.
'Just wait and see. This time I show you just how superior I am to you!' with that in her mind Seila turned back around, this time her eyes burning with fire and the spirit of competing!
Sometime later, when almost every section had been taken, an old man in a white robe appeared in the distance atop a platform, his sharp gaze inspecting all participants before him.
After a while, he nodded and cleared his throat before he began to speak, "Welcome everyone, my name is Elder Sige and I will be your judge in this year's Beginners Event. Now that you know who I am, let me introduce you to the rules real quick."
